A nice addition to downtown Main Street. Been away for awhile after having lived here so came to a place I hadn't been to before.
The décor and ambiance is lively, colorful, and fun.
Service was friendly and fast.
Food was good. I ordered basic tacos. The best part of it all? I had a friend who recommended the guacamole and I had totally read past the part of her recommendation that it was made tableside. Boy, am I glad that's what we ordered! A server comes with a cart to your table and does just that -- makes it fresh right in front of you from scooping out the avocado from its shell to blending up all the ingredients (do ask for bacon)! What a nice treat!
Drink portions are humongous for both beer and margaritas. I didn't dare finish mine.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - M N.Boston, MA442110Sep 3, 2016
The tableside guacamole was the best I've had. I had the green tostada. My friend had the chicken fajitas and we can't wait to suggest this restaurant to everyone we know. I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and the atmosphere.
Our server was knowledgable and suggested great drinks.
If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in New Hampshire - definitely check them out!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bee Y.Nashua, NH5111May 27, 2017
I have been going to LA Carreta for the past 30 years with my father as a child as well as an adult. A few months ago I walked into LA Carreta. After being handed a little buzzer with a 45 minute wait I decided to leave and go somewhere else.
I ended up at Agave Azul, I have to tell you this place knocks LA Carreta off there feet. With better prices nightly specials and quite simply more athentic food, I have made Agave Azul my go to restaurant for a great relaxing setting. There's amazing fast service, fresh guacamole made to order in front of you, and often live music.
This place is a must visit, there's parking after 5pm all around for free, meter parking right out front. Ample free parking in the rear. There are plenty of tables to accommodate huge crowds as well as a huge bar ajasent to the dining room.
In the summer there's seating outside with a great view of downtown Nashua.
Go check it out! Look out LA Carreta!

Went to Agave last night with a group of four for dinner/drinks. The guacamole was a huge portion made table side. The nachos we ordered had the works on them...steak, shrimp etc...but suprisingly, no salsa or sour cream. For $13 it was not impressive. Again I ordered the Texan fajitas. Again, it was alright. Just not a big fan of this joint.

The Shock top on tap was empty and I choose a Mexican brew which was OK...for my 2nd round I let Jose pick my beer...a lighter pilsner which was just as good. Dinner was a Texan Fiahita was fantastic. I don't live near by but I'm not to sure if I wanted Mexican I'd return. Make your own call.

Another miss for Nashua mexi. After the guacamole cart had made its rounds there's not much to see here. The guac cart is delicious; if not expensive. The proprietors should take notice. The guac is just avacado. The rest of the entrees should be so fresh and simple.

Been wanting to come since they opened last month.
Atmosphere: beautiful colors, and GREAT music! For those of you who remember Muy Buenos Dias, it's that type of music. I was dancing in my seat.
Bar: in another room with booths on the wall, which is nice because the loud rowdy people aren't bothering diners in the main dining room. Jules the bartender was fantastic. My other half had his usual Bud Lights while I had the house margarita. She asked what type of tequila I wanted (silver) and then she started making it. She filled a glass with ice, poured the tequila, added the sour, then squeezed 4 fresh lime halves and half of an orange. It was fantastic. The other Mexican restaurants in the area do not put squeezed fresh lime in their margaritas. If I didn't have to drive, I would have had more than 1.
Food: I was skeptical because people on Facebook said it wasn't good. They give you chips and salsa AND ranch dip which tasted great. Salsa is fresh and you can taste it. I ordered the burrito with chicken and chorizo with a queso fresco on top. My husband ordered the extra large burrito with beef. His came with rice. Both if us were amazed at how good they were. The best burritos we've ever had, and that is the only thing my husband orders at Mexican restaurants, which we eat at frequently.
They have live music on the weekends, but we went at 7p which was too early for that part of the evening.
Will absolutely go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Denise B.Clinton, NJ1207929Oct 6, 2016Updated review
Absolutely delicious tortilla soup
Soup was a meal in itself
Great place and would go back anytime I'm in town
My only regret is that I don't have a large group to bring here. The food and atmosphere would be an awesome work lunch or dinnerHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 26, 2016Previous reviewAbsolutely delicious tortilla soup

When there shortly after it opened. Loud and echoey, the dining room is anything but appealing. The menu about 30 pages too long, with every slight variation of taco or burrito getting it's own entry. Many of the items had a clipart "NEW" label, which made me wonder how old any item could be in a restaurant that had just opened.
The food was mediocre at best, with the highlight being the freshly made guacamole. The house margarita tasted exactly like Mountain Dew, which is to say, terrible. I won't returnHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurie K.Cambridge, MA3312525Aug 16, 2016
This restaurant delivers both good and bad. The fresh guacamole is amazing. It's worth a visit to the restaurant. The service is spotty. During one of our two visits, we had to request a number of standard service items--napkins, forks, water refills, and the check. We were basically ignored by the waiter; he seemed to have other responsibilities occupying his time.
The food is good, but not spectacular. We enjoyed fajitas on both visits with mixed proteins including chorizo. That said, El Colima is still the best choice for Mexican food in Nashua.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 80332455Aug 7, 2014
This place is amazing and I consider myself a Mexican connoisseur having tried just about every Mexican place in the area!
Fresh table side made guacamole is to die for and they served me the best margarita I have had in a while! Get their fresh made margarita, not the house one since its not made fresh...bartender clued me in on this. Music and ambience was also great, definitely coming back :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
