Maison Moving

Due to COVID i was so scared hiring movers. The horror stories I was hearing from friends who had terrible experiences with faux moving companies. I am writing this review because THESE GUYS are legit and wonderful.

At first Daniel texted so quickly after asking for a quote, i was concerned, but his follow up/and professionalism was wonderful. We had a call a month later and ended up booking mainly due to HIM! THANK YOU.

Everything he said would happen happened. the time frame for the movers were 8-10am, he said "expect them at 10" that's exactly when they arrived.

the movers who came (Lazaro and Cruz) showed up - complimented on how organized we were and packed up in 4 hours. They were through, helpful and felt like "friends doing all the work to help you move."
24 hours later they showed up 300 miles north and unpacked in 2 hours. It was glorious. Everything was there, nothing was broken, nothing was damaged.EXACTLY what you expect from a professional mover.

The only sad part - i was over on the estimated weight - so my bill was 1,000lbs more than projected - so an additional $600. But that was probably my own issue not mentioning the amount of clothes i had.
Truly a great experience from start to finish. HIGHLY Recommend them.

Mason mover shame on you. I referred you to a friend of mine. This is a second referral and you did the worst possible thing you could do damage, especially a sentimental item that you were well aware of that you had dropped and spilled as well as other items. I was getting ready to refer you to somebody else, but I will definitely definitely not use you guys again. Know that I know shame shame shame on you and have the audacity to not even return a phone call.

If I could give Maison Moving 0 stars I would. Don't go through this moving company if you have any sentimental items because they simply don't care about your stuff. After 4 months from using their services to move things into my storage unit I found several things that were broken or damaged. My nightstand broken in the back. Box with glass cups broken. The most heartbreaking thing that they broke and seem to have no remorse over is my brother's and my dog's urns were broken with the ashes now mixed together. The ashes were also all over my couch pillows. Talk about being traumatized and having to relive a moment in my life I thought was laid to rest. When I called to let the company know on Saturday 4/20/24, I was informed that the person who handles things of this matter wouldn't be in til Monday........a matter like this should never be delayed and addressed immediately, which this company seems as if they could careless since it's not their family member. I paid a pretty penny to have my things moved and tipped extremely well but not to have received this type of treatment of disrespect. SHAME on you Maison Moving I hope you never have to experience what your dishonest movers have put me and my family through truly disgusted by your company!

Update: This company has no sense of professional at all. Daniel and Stephanie are a complete joke and obviously don't know anything about customer relations nor conflict resolution. Seriously save yourself the time and heartache with joke of a company!

I used their services for a move of a one bedroom condo in Newport Beach. Well, two movers showed up unfortunately one had no clue what to do and stood around most of the day. Since I paid for two movers and it's an hourly charge, this was very disappointing as it took much longer with only one person really working. I reached out to the company several times via email with my concerns they never responded. Another issue we ran into was all of the hardware for the furniture never made it to the destination, making it impossible to put the furniture back together. While the one mover that was in charge was very good and worked very hard which we appreciate we paid for two and did not get two. I absolutely would not use this company again due to the fact that they did not respond to my concerns, and they did not provide me with the service in which I paid for.

I give them stars for competitive pricing and clear communication. It was pretty easy to schedule my move with them.

But the day of my move, nobody showed up. They called at the last moment within the scheduled window to say they couldn't get in contact with their crew. So... that really sucked. When you have to be out by a certain date, you need a committed mover that's going to show up. Maison failed in that regard. Big zero for dependability.

The scheduling person on the phone was pretty apologetic and I don't blame them for what happened. But it didn't make it better. They then offered to arrange me another company, but that falls flat in the face of me having to scramble and stress and do a bunch of work to ensure I had someone lined up that day.

Pretty miserable experience.

I was so lucky that I was sent Christian and Cruz. They were the most helpful hardworking guys. They just kept going and didn't stop. They were the most helpful!!!! I am so grateful they were here to help and thankful for this company

This my second time using the company first time in 2021 service was great however using them in November of 2022 worst experience. The movers were completing and wanted to half ass the service and they broke two of my television and a claim was submitted with no response it's been over a month . The experience is horrible needless to say the second time and will not use them again .. my time , and money wasted and still have to purchase two new TV's due to the LCD being damaged.

The worst experience I have ever dealt with. My husband and I reserved movers weeks in advance. We were left with a complete NO SHOW the morning of. We reserved for an 8-10am pick up to be notified an hour past 10am (and after numerous calls to customer service) that they couldn't get a hold of their drivers. Our move out date was the following day! We were left with no beds and my 13 month old daughter sleeping without a crib! A complete waste of time. They returned our deposit (no SH*T). WHAT A COMPLETE DISASTER.

Looking for a reliable mover was so discouraging I almost felt like I should just rent back my old house so I wouldn't have to move!

After lots of time reading reviews on Yelp! and trying to rectify all the extreme reviews for several companies- lots of 5 star reviews with frequent interspersed one star reviews- I finally settled on Maison, and I'm very pleased with my choice.

Daniel booked my move and gate me lots of info and candid replies to the questions I asked. The quote was reasonable and clear. Pre-move communication and helpful emailed moving tips were useful.

The team of Leo, Angel, and Jake arrived promptly this morning and set right to work loading up my considerable mountain of stuff. I was ready with everything boxed and labeled and in short order the guys had my life in their truck and set off for the 3 hour ride to my new home.

Upon arrival the team began to unload and place my furniture and boxes as I directed them. The guys were fast, efficient, and careful and in short order had taken all my well-packed/wrapped/placed items out of their truck and put them where I asked.

We lost one castor wheel off a giant file cabinet as it rolled over a bumpy brick entrance, but I just need to screw it back on... I noted no other damage to anything and feel the Maison team were both expert and careful in protecting my items.

Overall? I had reasonable expectations of what movers could do, I made the effort to get all my stuff boxed/ready/set to go, and had a successful, low-stress moving experience with Maison. My final price was very close to the bid, and fair.

The three Maison movers were awesome: polite, friendly, efficient, and careful. I've been dreading uprooting my life in one place for another, but the actual move with Maison was a totally comfortable and stress-free experience. Well done, guys!

Based on my experience with Maison I recommend them without hesitation, and hope that their future customers have as satisfactory an experience as I did.

Just had a moving experience yesterday & sad to say it wasn't good
Maison moving Co say they are a family owned business since 1994 & supposedly well trained & experienced staff but that is not the real story
On their website they state that they wrap everything either with shrink wrap or moving blankets but that is not true... the movers showed up yesterday with dirty moving blankets & no shrink wrap... had to ask for wardrobe boxes that they were supposed to bring & floor runners were not put down to protect floors until we asked for them... a move that was only a mile from one location to the other that should have taken a maximum of 6 hrs was 10 hrs ... what took 45 min to disassemble 2 sets of bunk beds took 3 hrs to reassemble ... ridiculous !
I even paid for the movers lunch so they wouldn't have to go without but that was before all the chaos happened ... the company did discount the move a little but not enough to have us use them again
Word to the wise be VERY selective when choosing a moving company & don't believe everything they tell you !
