One of the last great places you can get stuff machined. I don't always want to buy "new". It's an old school machine shop. I've gotten lots of my old Ford and Chevy stuff done with no issues..

This is by far the best machine shop in the AV!! They have been family owned an operated since the 50's. I have been using them for about 20 years and never had any issues. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is correct. They havr even extracted broken exhaust studs without charge. They are extremely knowledgeable and build amazing engines! If you need work from mild to wild this is the shop to use!!!

This place is pretty much useless.

I have had my flywheel faced here and it's not like they don't do good work. They do, when they want to even do the job. I brought in a one off turbo manifold that just needed a simple facing done at their opening and right off the bat they over-quoted me trying to scare me off asking $200 to do the job. I need the part for my daily so I tell them to go on ahead and do what needs to be done. Then I wait ALL day and at 3:30 they call me to pick it up saying that the steel was "too hard" for them to face. They refer me to another shop who couldn't do it in the time allotted so I ended up doing it myself with an 12" disk sander and sharpening stone and got the job done. I wish they would have just been straight with me from the get-go and told me they weren't interested in doing it so I could have saved myself a wasted day of waiting around for something to not even be done. If you have something that you need done I'd recommend going elsewhere.

These guys are awesome. Between my three cars I have had 2 heads rebuilt in the last 2 years, and a complete engine rebuilt two months ago. The engine was a Chevy 5.3L vin J which is complicated to say the least. The price is right, turn-time is great, and zero issues. Nice to have a shop like this in the AV.

Adams has been the go to place for me when it comes to machine shop work on motorcycles. As long as you tell them what you need they will fulfill your order. I have brought cylinders in for Japanese, British bikes and have not had a problem. I also have them media blast parts and they turn out great. No gripes aside from having to venture to the depths of Lancaster's bad area. I guess if your feeling gritty you can head over to Youngs bar an grill afterwards... .Just bring your bullet proof vest.

All in all I am always impressed with their service. They have a quick turn around too and the prices are alright.

Boring, Honing, and media blast. I have not had anything else done here.

Best engine rebuilding shop around! Highly recommend the family owned business! If a business has been somewhere for over 60 years they must be doing something right!

A couple years ago i had them hot tank a short block and hone the cylinders. Charged me an arm and a leg. Several days later I called them to see if the block was ready for pickup. When I picked up the block, they didn't leave the cross hatch finish I asked for on the walls, telling me it wasn't necessary. Whether its necessary or not, thats what i PAID for. In the end I used a different used block. Pretty dissatisfied and felt swindled.

Took my 472 engine there a year ago. I'm so glad I didn't do this rebuild myself they did stuff to my block that I would have missed like modifying valve seats for the unleaded fuels. They also warranty their rebuilds!!!!

Owner and employee were rude, and confrontational, when I walked in I got the immediate impression that they felt I owed them something as a customer..... Not professional, overpriced and when I took the drive shaft to them they took it apart to diagnose it and gave me back my item taken apart and with missing parts...
.... As a customer you want to trust the person working on you vehicles most critical parts .... I'm not cheap, but will not give my money to someone who can't at least make me feel comfortable with their work.
Oh and their website and store hours listed on the door say mon-fri, closes at 5:30... wrong .... Called and shop tcloses at 4pm, too bad I drove all the way there and wasted an hour of my day for poor advertising of hours.... Bad taste in my mouth all the way around .... Very disappointed .... Going forward I will recommended EVERYBODY to Yarman Drivelines in Lancaster, ca just up the street.... Now that guy knows how to treat his customers and run a business .. Great customer service and very informative, prices were better there !! Saved me $100 !!!
