Absolutely Dry

We had roof damage from a storm on a rental property in Valparaiso. Our insurance company send us the contact with Absolutely Dry. They were timely for estimate, listened to our concerns, worked with us to get the new roof covered, then, once the contract was signed. we waited 6 weeks for the repair, which seems to have been done most adequately. However, that was 2 months ago and I am still waiting for the warranty information for the workmanship as well as the shingles. I finally contacted my insurance company for direction. With 1 email, they told me they have 3 years per agreement with contractor connection. Still, I have been unable to obtain this from Absolutely Dry. To date, that would be 4 email requests and as many texts to Nick.

The office staff was very friendly and helpful when I called in to request service. The technicians that came were wearing masks and made sure to tell me they are following all protocols for Covid which made me feel better about allowing people into my home.

The guys I met were professional, communicative, and quick. I was very happy with the results of the work and they made sure to follow up with me every step of the way. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help with their insurance claim.

My home had water damage over time due to ice damming. Absolutely Dry did a fantastic job of shoring the wall and replacing all of the rotted material. The mold was dealt with and the job was left clean of debris. In fact, each day they cleaned up after themselves in professional manner. I will call Absolutely Dry if another event occurs.

This is the worse experience I've had dealing with a business! I was not happy with the services at all.

This place gets 1 star because they have no option for 0 stars. After reading this review and you still decide to go with this company you're insane! This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with! We had a fire at our house and one room was destroyed and the rest of the house was covered in soot. We call them and of course they made themselves sound amazing but it was all a scam. Every time I would do a pop up no one would be there cleaning and no progress was made for the previous days I stopped by. I would call Chris and they were always "on the way". Asked to see the logs of the times they were there and that took weeks to get, it has times on it that I knew 100% was a lie. Not only did they take months to clean when they promised weeks but they stole a bunch of our property and claimed they never saw the said items or claimed they were destroyed in the fire(which was only in one bedroom) and thrown away. During a separate conversation the incompetent Chris tells use he throws nothing away and when that specific conversion was brought up he proceeded to throw his employees under the bus and blames them for apparently not following protocall. And on top of the missing belongings the things that were being cleaned in his warehouse were poorly taken care of and damaged. Of course again Chris did not take responsibility. This time he blamed a brake in that only included our things. He was unable to show me police reports to back that story up but kept telling me he had them. Chris is use to taking advantage of distort family's who lost everything and just bill their insurance companies and keep or sale whatever is salvageable and tell them it was all destroyed or too dangerous to keep. We forced them to show us the things they just kept "for our well being" and 85% of the items just needed to be cleaned off because it was nowhere near the fire and we had 0 water damage because the fire put itself out. They gave us back all the useless garbage but kept all the expensive things and just billed the insurance company. The cherry on top is when we finally got back in the house there was so much soot still in the house in noticeable places like windows and patio doors. Made Chris come over to see it and he says it's just stains and proceeds to slid his finger across it and it came right off. All he could do was stutter and stumble over his words. Chris is a con artist who makes a tragic situation an even more horrific situation. He lacks empathy and compassion and only cares about a check. And this is the watered down version.

I would recommend this company for anyone that has water or fire damage to their home or business. Did a great job drying out my home when a tree fell on it during a storm

Absolutely Dry did an amazing job! I recently experienced a fire at my home. I came home from work on a Friday night to find the fire department in my driveway and smoke pouring out of my home. The fire totaled my garage as well as most of my kitchen. The smoke basically damaged the rest of my home and to make matters worse now my basement was pretty much flooded from the water used to extinguish the flames. I called my insurance and they recommended Absolutely Dry. They arrived about an hour and a half after I called them, they boarded up and secured my home, they also provided temporary heat as well as temporary power all in the same night since the fire department had to cut the power and gas to my home. They set up air purifying equipment as well as dehumidifiers all that night as well to start drying my home. They gathered a few days of clothes for me and had them cleaned and ready by the next day. They also worked hand and hand with my insurance company which was amazing considering I've never made an insurance claim before. I would highly recommend Absolutely Dry to anyone who experiences a flood or fire damage. I went from hopeless to having peace of mind all in a matter of hours all thanks to Absolutely Dry.
