About Time Limousines

Grant was a great driver. He was punctual both picking us up from home for our airport transfer and picking us up from the airport for our return home. (They do a good job of monitoring flight status, I can attest to this as our flight was delayed).

On the way home we encountered a vehicle without its lights on and with its doors wide open in the middle of the not well lit two northbound lanes of highway 99 a little before midnight. Grant saw the vehicle, drove around it, and avoided a collision! Thank you!!!

On to the reason for 4 stars. First, the vehicle itself is an older model that shows some signs of its age. Next, while they do offer bottled water, years ago when I hired a limo for airport transfers that company also offered sparkling wine. (I'm not unhappy about it, but it does set the bar just a little bit higher...). Keep in mind, the rates charged by About Time are very competitive, so I'm not complaining. I'm pretty sure I'll be using them again in the future.

Had the best time this weekend wine tasting in Sonoma county. Tom was the best driver. Kept us on schedule and was so attentive and sweet. Will definitely be using their services again.

Amber, was our driver she was awesome and made sure we experienced the experience. We were having trouble connection our phone to get the music going, Amber pulled over and got in the back with us saying " I'm going to get this music working for you all so you can have it your way :) she was so awesome! For any future occasion we will surely love Amber to be our driver!!

We had a fantastic experience with Larry and his limo for transportation to our wedding venue. His driver was prompt, so kind and friendly, and was a excellent driver. The limo was in pristine condition and was the perfect addition to our special day!

Larry is amazing!! Went the extra mile to ensure fabulous guest satisfaction!! He was prompt, friendly, safe and fun!! Communication has been great setting up the party. He was full of good ideas for a fun cruise for children. I'm very impressed with his creativity during quarantine while still ensuring safety. I will ALWAYS call him for any Limousine service. He really made sure a 7 year old had a perfect birthday.

I wasn't using their service (and now never will), however one of their drivers had an entire street blocked. I honked to have them move it, instead of moving it, Tom (about 5'2 bald dude) in vehicle 21892-p approaches my car and asks if I have a problem. I tell him I need to get by and his response, "you can wait until I get done or go around." You need to rethink your employees. You have shit for employees. Will never recommend this place to anyone

Hmmm...since you can't read my mind...I'm giving them a 2.5 rating!

How do I do this - I want to rate this on my experience with them as a business and my experience on the day of our wine trip to Amador. I guess I will do just that.

Company:

Lacking all types of business professionalism. I understand first hand, that if you advertise on Living Social, you aren't making a huge profit, rather trying to attract new customers to your business. That being said, whoever my friend was dealing with, in regards to setting up our trip and using our LS discount, was lacking tact.

She wanted to make sure there weren't any hidden charges, as have been in the news lately. Said person wrote back that we had to pay tax (okay), demanded 20% gratuity, and gas funds (never heard of this before). The last time I checked, and the four or so other wine tours I participated in, we tip according to the service. Yes, they do mention that generally its 20%, but no one has ever outright demanded their gratuity. If you have faith in your employees, you should let their work do the talking. Also, build gas into your pricing model, come on, Business 101!

That being said - I already had a bad taste in my mouth for this company. With a few weeks to let this stew, I was already slightly hostile, in my mind of course.

Day of Trip:

Its 12PM, we see no sign of our limo. We made a call and the person working there said, "Isn't your appointment at 1PM?" Um no, there is email documentation stating 12PM sharp, buddy. Well, they got their act together and were there, albeit 15 minutes late.

I feel like we got played a bit. Read on for details! Phil was our driver, who I also noticed via Yelp (just right now) is also the manager. Is this a one man show, kind of interesting. So, sweetly, in the limo was a bottle of Convergence Winery's Mr. Bubbles, sparkling wine. He said we'd be stopping there eventually, which was okay because we all actually really enjoyed this beverage :)

So once we got to Convergence, he promptly took my friend aside and asked her for the tax/tip/gas money. Right then and there. He didn't have the decency to ask when we arrived home, like any professional would. He took it before we even stepped foot in our first winery. How offensive...

Let's just say we wine tasted of the beaten path. I'm actually okay with this, because I've stopped at all the recognizable ones before. After yelping, it looks like he takes the same path every time. Our group really loves the Almond Champagne from somewhere out here and we asked him if we could go there. He was adamant that it was out of the way, we needed a reservation, and they charged a fee. There was no consideration of even going there, which was slightly rude.

Maybe my standards are too high, but I thought it was very unprofessional of Phil to pick up his membership allotment at SeraFina winery when we were there. I understand its convenient, but I just think its rude to do personal errands while we are spending our money for his service. Maybe I'm over sensitive on this matter, but whatevs.

This is also the first time I've only been to 3 wineries on a four hour wine tour. I think that Phil should have kept us on a better schedule so we could visit four wineries.

Overall, being surrounded by 8 of your closest girls makes ANY situation better. Also, an abundance of snacks and calories doesn't hurt either. I truly appreciate supporting the local wineries and visiting every once in awhile, it just doesn't sit well with me when I don't feel like your business is being professional or honest.

Living Social can be a gamble...lesson learned!

We hired About Time for our daughter's 21st birthday. Larry, the owner, was the driver for the six young adults. He was fantastic in his communication, arrived exactly as discussed, and was excellent at providing follow-up on cost and service in a detailed email. He was great with the "kids" and I felt like he was a father taking care of them while they had a good time. I would give Larry and his company 10 stars if possible and will definitely be using his company again!

Jan is amazing ! Best service I ever had. They make you feel like family. Always on time and be sweetest lady ever. She opens the door like we're celebrities and takes her time and makes sure everyone is happy.
This is our second time around with her.
Limos are so clean and fancy. Much better than the other local companies. Great job guys.

By far one of the BEST experiences from a limousine service company. Larry provides an amazing service, leaving no detail out. He made our Wine Tasting Tour absolutely perfect and stress free. I highly recommend his services for any event!
