Aavtar Indian Cuisine

We were in Daytona on vacation and both had a craving for Indian. Drove by Aavtar and decided to give it a try, only to find that it's open for take-out but not inside dining.

Went back later in the week for take-out. Got Shrimp Curry and Lamb Saagwala. Very good!

If / when they open for dining inside, looks to be a bit small and needs updating, but the food is very good and worthwhile!

This was some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Had the vegetarian special and it was enough food for two people. It was so good!! To go only right now but well packaged and I took it to my hotel pool area and had a great dinner.

We ordered onion bhajis, and the nawabi dinner with chicken korma and vegetarian biryani and it was a lot of food but absolutely incredible!!! Service was so unbelievably friendly and the food was on par! Couldn't recommend this place enough! We ate in the car..coz..Covid times but it was still sooooo tasty and enjoyable. Succulent chicken and melt in the mouth chickpeas with fresh naan and great choices of sauces on side. A must do in Daytona!!!

Faves are Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Mixed Grill, and the garlic Naan.
Food is always served fresh and hot and it's so flavorful!
This places deserves a higher overall rating. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly!

We came close to closing and treated very kind not the usual "huff and puffs" you get when staff wants to go home. The food came out quick for our togo.

The food: we ordered saag paneer. Perfect! My wife and I share and I usually give her the cheese parts because I usually dont like the taste or texture. The cheese with this saag paneer was made so delicious that I actually went back for more. The garlic naan full of flavor, fluffy soft rice. Great food great experience.

My favorite Indian restaurant by far. The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is outstanding with plenty of flavors. We travel for over an hour to eat at his restaurant or even to pick it up to go. You will not be disappointed at all.

Absolute best Indian food in Florida! Vegan dishes made to order. Vinny is the owner and he's absolutely adorable. We eat here as often as our budget allows.

First impressions - OUTSTANDING!

A little gem in the heart of Daytona Beach.
Aavtar is totally worth the trying, we met a couple who often drive a ways to get here - passing the other Indian restaurants along the way (and if we lived in Florida, we'd be doing the same). While we were there, the owner even came out to sit and talk with the couple who were regulars - I've rarely seen that done, Kudos!

The building sort of blends in but the food definitely sets this place apart from its surroundings. The food was undoubtedly some of best the Indian Cuisine I've had to date. I can tell you that this chef truly seems to take pride in the quality and it shows! My husband and I agreed that we'd be back on our next trip to Daytona Beach!

Stopped in while passing through Daytona and it was amazing! One of the best Tikka Masalas I've ever had. I wasn't expecting much given the overall review scores but the recent one seem to be much better. Good portion size and I couldn't eat it all. Only potential negative was "Medium" was quite a bit spicer than I expected. It was great for me but spicer than what most people would call medium.
