Hempfield Heights Apartments

We had a maintenance guy here trying to stop the flooded apartment Basement area until 11pm last night .... The disregard to tenants and our parking area has been going on for several months... after making the maintenance guy aware that he's been in our usual parking space for hours...he has no concerns about me and my inconvenience after I explained calmly. I am physically handicapped and have limited ability to carry groceries up into our apartment and just came back from shopping at Walmart with several bags to carry I made 3 trips up and down the stairs going around the maintenance guy's vehicle in the rain!!! He nor does the manager care about the Elderly or physically disa tenants who pay rent to live here... their concern is their own convenience!!!

I will keep this as short and to the point as possible:

This complex should be CLOSED.

I am a female, age 23, and a recent grad school graduate. I lived here for 2 years due to my financial situation (college student). I am finally able to move into a nicer, safer complex, and will be doing so several months before my lease is up.

Not only are these apartments absolutely filthy and poorly maintained, but they are UNSAFE. Within the past year, I witnessed a DOUBLE MURDER-SUICIDE, repeated investigations of CHILD ABUSE, and LOUD and PROFANE yelling from many neighbors throughout all hours of the day and night. (I'm supposedly in one of the "better" buildings at the front as well) Oh, and do you think they'll inform you which suites were involved in the double murder-suicide? Of course not, so STEER CLEAR of BUILDING E.

There are crazies everywhere in the world, but don't move into a complex with a very high concentration of them. By the way, the incident that I just described occurred over a noise complaint as they were on their way to the laundry room. (sounds like a great reason to kill two innocent people)

Please heed my advice, especially if you are a woman, or even have a shred of respect and dignity. This place is UNSAFE. Management is uninvolved, though I will say that Jesse is very kind. The maintenance man is quite frankly a lazy jerk. Despite repeated maintenance requests, NOTHING in this apartment has been fixed in TWO YEARS. None of my windows stay open, and some do not have screens. The ceiling in the bathroom is cracking and collapsing. Pipes had burst in the apartment above me, causing a very damaging flood of black, filthy water. I was told a cleaning crew would be sent in to clean the carpets. This of course never happened.

Save yourself the trouble, and move somewhere SAFE.

ps. the pool, though poorly maintained and rarely open due to lack of lifeguards, was a nice touch. It was completely filled in yesterday.
