Picked up a to-go order Pho Ha late on a weekday evening/night and it was solid.
Order the oxtail pho and a large "everything" pho with a side of chicken wings and spring rolls.
Both the chicken wings and spring rolls were good and traveled well. Neither we're over-the-top good, but I'd order them again. I do with the wings were 6 instead of 4 for a slightly larger serving size - but I was happy.
The to-go setup for the pho was really convenient compared to every other pho restaurant that I've been to.
The meat and noodles come in a bowl with the vegetables/additions set above it in a plastic tray, while the broth is in a separate container. Instead of having to get your own bowl and deal with that, it would incredibly convenient. Really cool innovation to pho. Huge plus for takeout.
The oxtail was incredibly tender. It just fell off the bone. Really good. The broth was clean, flavorful and really good.
Overall, great takeout experience. I'd definitely order from here again.
I've dined in at Pho Ha several times and it's been consistently good across my experiences, both with dining in and with takeout.
I'd recommend this spot to most anyone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 19, 2019Previous reviewPho Ha is probably my favorite Vietnamese/pho shop north of Seattle.
The Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli Bowl and different different variations of Pho are delicious.
Last night, on a dreary, cold, and rainy Seattle night, I decided to stop by and try something different - the Oxtail Pho and it was a bit disappointing.
I expected a broth that was rich, fatty, and "meaty." What I git was nothing of the sort. Unfortunately, the bites without broth were void of almost all flavor. The Oxtail has a solid beef/meaty flavor, but everything else was so-so. It was just lacking.
If this were the only bowl of food that I've tried at Pho Ha, I'm not sure I'd be back. However, I've been there enough times to know what I do like when I go there. Next time I'll go with that.
Maybe I got something that was watered-down, or maybe that's how it normally is. Either way, wasn't what I expected.
I'll still be back because the vermicelli bowls are great, I love the spring rolls, and the normal bowls of pho are great.May 30, 2019Previous reviewI recently went to Pho Ha for a friend's birthday and I was pleasantly surprised.
I've been to a plethora of different Pho shops and Vietnamese restaurants and I have to admit, Pho Ha is on the short list of restaurants which left a very favorable impression on me.
For starters, I really like the restaurants style. It's very causal and welcoming. It's fairly open, white walls, with a large mirror on the side which creates the illusion of more space. Plus on a sunny day, the walls help it look even more open - it looks really spacious. It's also cool that there's a scooter inside as well, makes me thing of everything I've seen on Vietnam and how it's a scooter culture/scooter dominated country. It's just really cool.
We ordered the spring rolls and two vermicelli bowls, one with lemon grass beef and the other with grilled pork and an egg roll.
The spring rolls were good. They were fresh, not too big/filling - they were the perfect small-bite treat. The peanut dipping sauce was a little more subtle and creamy than others I've tried and I liked it. The peanut sauce didn't dominate the rolls.
The vermicelli bowls were absolutely delish. I'm biased toward lemongrass, so it's a bit unfair, but I thought everything was cooler to perfection. The bell peppers provided a nice crunch and sweetness to the meal, while the beef had a good grilled flavor. The shredded cabbage is something I haven't had with a vermicelli bowl before, but it worked really, really well. It was a nice texture/crunch, it was fresh and that with the carrots, fish sauce, onions, etc. created just layers of great flavors. Really enjoyed this. If I could've added some Thai chili's, I think I would've died a happy man right there. The grilled pork was equally as good. It came with shrimp and an egg roll - it's a classic. I really enjoyed each.
I would heavily recommend someone trying this place out, especially if vermicelli bowls are your thing.
It's fresh, flavorful, inexpensive, and just plain good - plus it's in a really relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. It's my new go-to for vermicelli bowls and I'll definitely be trying other things in the future as well. - Jan 10, 2024
Everytime I drive by Aurora, this place always looks so inviting especially during any given cold and rainy Seattle evenings. When I stopped by for a dine-in one afternoon, I've found that parking could be a little challenging as they were pretty full. My go-to pho is the P2 (steak and meatball) but I've also gotten takeouts from here like their Grilled Pork, Shrimp and Egg Roll Vermicelli Bun and their a la carte Mongolian Stir Fried chicken.
Both the vermicelli bun and their pho were fantastic with good portion. Very flavorful. The noodles are always perfectly cooked, soft without being mushy and the pho broth is so good for the soul on colder days. The small bowl will absolutely fill you up. They also offer the wider pho noodle (traditional style) for any curious foodies out there, you don't really find this offered in most pho eateries. Last but not least, the service is always immediate, professional and friendly.Helpful 15Thanks 8Love this 14Oh no 0 - 4169240Nov 21, 2023
Customer service was really great, friendly, professional/respectful for being youthful.
Food was prepared quicker than I would have thought which was awesome cause not only was I hungry I was looking forward to my pho with authentic Vietnamese noodles. During the short wait I admired the fish tank inside the restaurant.
I wish the soup was a little hotter, half way through and it was chilling down and not quite as enjoyable. The hot sauce on the table was more
If a medium than a spicy for my liking. Overall not the best I've had but I'd be willing to try it again.
The parking was dark so I felt happy I wasn't alone. Sitting by the windows and sketchy people walking/riding their bikes by was little in nerving. I'd probably sit away from the window next time. Area is not the worse but not the best.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 2, 2024
This was some amazing food. They hand roll the noodles and offer two different styles to choose from. My daughter ordered the brisket and I ordered brisket and meatball pho. The broth was delicious and had a lot of deep flavor. The meat was good they gave a large portion. We also ordered the spring rolls and egg rolls. Both fantastic, the spring rolls were huge and the egg rolls were some of the best we've had. The two bubble teas were yummy and my boys split a rice and teriyaki chicken plate. Restaurant was very clean and busy.

Checked this place out over the weekend - had a rocky start to our visit with some snappy comments received from the server and almost decided to leave before we even placed an order but decided to stick it out to see if the food made up for it.
We ordered spring rolls, fried chicken, a combination pho with wide noodles, and an egg noodle bowl with chicken and shrimp. Overall, everything was satisfactory but presentation was the only thing where this place excelled.
We were given the option to choose between chicken or tofu for the spring rolls - we chose chicken. It came with a healthy portion of lettuce as well as a dry cabbage mix, and I had to dunk my rolls in the peanut sauce (luckily we got 2 bowls of it) so that I could swallow it! I'd say you could skip this if you come here.
The fried chicken wings were the best item we got, unfortunate that it was $8 for only 4 wings.
The pho is served with bean sprouts, lime, jalapeños, and some leafy greens. We asked if it would be too much trouble to steam the bean sprouts and we overheard the staff talking about how we never requested the steamed sprouts in the first place. Not sure why we got so much hassle when the staff were very accommodating to the group of girls who sat behind us who kept making request after request.
The pho was so-so. Broth was light but the noodles were good. There was a good portion of chicken and shrimp in the egg noodle bowl but the chicken was dry and the shrimp was just regular shrimp. It kind of just felt like something you would throw together at home when you needed to add protein to a noodle dish and tossed in some meat you had in the freezer. Definitely have had better egg noodle bowls at other pho places.
Overall, I'd say everything was mid. Good enough that we walked away full, but not good enough that we'd come back.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - 372129126Oct 16, 2023
Easily my favorite Pho spot in Seattle.
Pho Ha is consistently delicious. Their Pho is incredible - my partner and I will both get large bowls. One large bowl is a filling dinner for my partner and two meals for me. The beef Pho is my go-to.
I have eaten inside once, it was clean and had very friendly service. The parking lot is fairly small, but manageable.
Their to-go orders are great. They separate everything so the meat stays fresh and the noodles do not get too soggy. They also provide a generous helping of sides.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessica D.Everett, WA236198Mar 22, 2024
Great authentic pho and vermicelli bowls. You can get thick noodles or thin noodles. Nice vibe. I like their fish tank too.

I used to love this place. I think I've even left a great review here. I usually never leave a complaint or complain in person. But, after sitting (told to,"sit anywhere") and waiting 25 minutes for an type of acknowledgement to order. Then finally helped with a bland, "what you want", and requesting the regular plain soup pho, just to gety anything because i was starving. As this would have been my 1st meal of the day at 8pm. No Mango or Coconut Bubble Teas with no suggestion of an alternative. My food (soup) came in about 15 minutes after ordering. Yes!! PHO at my favorite North-North-End Viet. Joint. I was READY TO EAT. This after being in Ha approximately 48 minutes, without any CUTLERY. As I sat and watched the server walk passed me, help the table next to me, chit-chat with customer/friends of her's, I thought when she would come over to ask how everything was, I would just ask for a spoon. One SPOON. Thought about using my hands I was so hungry. Even worse, it smelt so good. Didn't even mind it was the wrong order. Didn't mind two sets pf people left, table reset and new guests arriving and had order taken. But, after 22 minutes of just sitting quietly, hands folded on the table, guy next to me gaze at me like, "what's wrong bradda, OHHHH?", I got up and pleasantly left. With a flip of a $20 on the table. Walked out. Got to my car, sat for 15 minutes trying to find a new place to eat of my phone, drove passed the large window, and saw my soup still just sitting there. Alone. No water. No Spoon. No napkins. Just the full bowl of soup. With the $20 still sitting there with it's new friend, the full bowl of cold Pho. Ha Ha on me, I guess. Used to be my favorite Pho place ever....

One of my fav pho spots for sure. I've been coming here for years. I used to live much closer but will still come here. I probably pass by at least 10 different pho spots when coming here from where I live now. The food is always good. They have more options other than just pho as well. Service is always good and the inside is always clean! There are lots of tables and space inside.

Large servings and good food. Not a lot of parking though.
The tofu rolls and chicken wings are very good. I got a coconut bubble tea that was awesome too. I got the wonton soup with noodles. I wasn't crazy about the filling in the wontons but the broth was amazing.
This place is really close to where I work so a convenient place for lunch take out!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
