A Plus Hair

Me and my sister went there by accident by thinking we made an appointment with a different salon. We saw the amazing reviews and safe to say, we were convinced.

We went inside thinking that it was a good idea but we came out cursing. When we got inside we met Kyle and showed him our inspiration pictures. He insulted my sisters hair by called it too thick and he wanted to thin it out. When it was my turn he insulted my hair by calling it dry and saying he didn't like my highlights.

During my haircut I had said I didn't want it too short but he continued cutting it shorter and shorter until it was an inch off of my shoulder, keep in mind that my hair was up to my butt and I wanted it just 2 inches cut. I don't know if it was a misunderstanding or if I wasn't clear enough. When my sister had pointed it out, he yelled at her by saying that she was scaring me and that she was lying and that I should trust him.

Safe to say, it was a terrible experience and we will never be going back and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.

I was very optimistic for my color/haircut appointment because of the great reviews, but unfortunately, my haircut with Kyle was the worst of my life. I showed Kyle MULTIPLE pictures of the shape/style I wanted and specifically said I did not want my hair to have a choppy, V-shape. This is EXACTLY what I got. Immediately after leaving, I went to another hair stylist in an attempt to correct be disaster. Kyle thinned my hair so badly that the other stylist was shocked.

While my hair was being colored, I was very uncomfortable because the two stylists were speaking about me in their native tongue. Even the color, which I was initially happy with, came out uneven in the back. Kyle seemed like a nice guy, but in retrospect, I should have refused to pay the $180 for this horrendous experience. I will never come back.

Got a same day appointment for haircut. Love the haircut but take 1 star off for the price. I do feel like it was a bit over priced. I got a haircut, no wash, or rinse or blow dry. Just haircut for $60. But he was very skilled and i love how my hair turned out.

I'm very impressed with the way Cami was ready for me when I arrived punctually at her shop. She didn't squeeze another client in ahead of me or behind me causing many hairdressers to run late on patrons appointed time. She washed my hair and like many fellow Yelpers said, took her time as she cut my hair. I have very short hair so it's not like I can deviate too far from my original haircut. Many others tried to give me this interesting Johnny bravo hairdo and I'm like "I am a girl!!" She hand cuts and because my hair is thick, she took shears to thin out the ends for a softer look. Many times a hairdresser goes crazy with the thinning shears and lose control over it. That has left me looking very.... Like I'm losing my hair because you can see through it. Stark difference from my thick hair. She balanced my hair and have me a very good cut. Best of all, she wasn't pushing her products for me to buy.
Very cool atmosphere with music playing and she creates these cool curtains with her cards.
Better I forget, bear in mind to bring cash. No credit cards at all.

This place is CASH only! Don't make the same mistake as I did. Luckily, there was a 7-Eleven across the street for me to withdraw money with no charge. Embarrassing on my part.

I was lacking a decent hair salon where staff were accustomed to cutting Asian hairstyles. My mom would cut my hair, but it failed to inspire. I have a pretty square face and head. Haircuts of before always came out as uncanny and with such a flat feeling. After getting my hair cut and styled today at A+ Hair, I'm sorry to say mom, I'm moving on from your haircuts!

So my square face and head came to no problem for Cami, the hair stylist. Cami helped me decide on a stylish hair cut. I wanted something shorter from the hair I grew out, yet appropriate during a job hunt. The first step she provided was washing and scrubbing down my hair. While she did this, she felt out all contours of my scalp. I think she got a good idea of how to curtail the cut by doing this. The cutting process was quite enchanting. Not one second was wasted. Cami was cutting precisely and systematically, for it was second nature to her. I'm still amazed she only took one look at the picture style, too! Top off the haircut at the end with a candid brand styling wax, Sofia, and the final result was wondrous. I'm ready to show off my hair for the holidays now!

Also, my friend was to accompany me for a haircut as well. He got a flat tire along the way in the middle of my hair wash. I offered to leave my credit card, but Cami trusted that I would return and let me leave to pick him up. Now that's service! Full delivery, hospitable, a clean work area, and professional. I will be a returning customer, and I hope this business will continue to remain open in the remainder of my lifetime.

Cannot recommend A+ Hair enough-- especially for Asian hair! I've been searching for *the* hair salon for years, and I think A+ Hair has found themselves a new regular customer! Ken was extremely kind, detail oriented, attentive, and provided advice for what kind of style would suit my face shape and hair type. It was such a lovely experience, and I would trust Ken with my hair any day. Thank you!

I decided to get a Japanese hair straightening and it did not disappoint! My hair stylist, Ken, was very attentive to my cut and told me the exact procedure to this style. With the texture of my hair and thickness of it, he worked really well and spent a lot of time on it. I would definitely go back to this salon since it's hard finding the right asian salon that will satisfy my needs towards my hair type.

It can get pricey but is worth your time and money. Just like the other reviews, this place is CASH only.

Ken does a fantastic job. As a guy entering my 30s, it's tougher than ever to find someone who can do a great job with my thinning hair. Great attention to detail and really clean shop. Cash only!

Ken is detail-oriented and friendly. He takes his time with haircuts and is very personable. Nice experience, clean facility, and I liked my haircut. Will come back next time.
