A One Taxi

Called to check on availability and price. Was told to call back about 20 min prior to needing them. No issues- much cheaper than the available Ubers and I got to the train station with no issues. Read another review that the driver was old and sloppy- I needed a ride, not a date.

I used this taxi service for the first time today. They responded promptly and the driver took me on the most efficient route to my destination, including teaching me a new shortcut to get around the traffic issue late in the day on Broadway in Long Branch.

My only negative was the condition of the car. It was really worn out. The upholstery in the back was so worn.

But, the driver was friendly, courteous and drove safely. Wish I had caught his name.

I have used A One twice now and the first time I was happy with the service, however this last time I was coming back from the west coast with my mother and our flight was delayed about an hour or so.... the taxi driver texted me while I was on the plane that I would be charged a penalty for being late, even though the dispatcher specifically asked me for my flight #. Usually, taxi and limo drivers have the intelligence to check the flight before coming out but maybe this is expecting too much.

Beware of this cheating company and the driver named Sam.

Took a ride after getting terrible service from another company. My driver Angel was a great guy. It was a clean cab, he followed all of my requests, and was just a fun guy to talk to. In the end it was a reasonable price and my driver went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. These guys were great. If you need a cab try and catch these guys. They treat you like human beings.

Bad service . They are rude an un helpful. They are very expensive. I wouldn't suggest this company to anyone . You can't even understand what they say half the time. This service deserves a one star

Overall I'm happy with this company. Fast service for me, comfortable cars... but very hard to understand their accents. I think many of the drivers are Sikhs from India or around India (Sikhs are NOT muslim, by the way) and are still learning to lose the accent. One driver was from Jamaica, and he was very hard to understand too. If you have time, like I usually do, you can sift through the conversations. One warning: the driver I just had was talking over the radio with the dispatcher, saying "HE ALREADY KNOWS HOW MUCH THE RIDE COSTS", which gives me the feeling that they might overcharge sometimes. ASK AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR RIDE HOW MUCH IT WILL COST.

After an emergency trip to the hospital with my daughter at 2 AM on Christmas Eve, got picked up right when they said they would be there. Driver was very friendly price was exactly as quoted and the experience made a bad night a little better. I would definitely recommend!
