First let me say this - Jasmine was the best person we've EVER had helping us with a party. She was incredibly polite, friendly, professional and hard-working, and she really made the evening fantastic for us and our guests. And Jana was amazing too - communicative, quick, professional, friendly - and made our booking and experience so easy, straight-forward, and perfect, which I always love. We have another party in a few months, and I'll definitely be calling Jana and A-List Party Staffing to help us with that too.

Jana and her team is Amazing, we just had a baby shower for our daughter and our first grand baby that is coming soon. It was absolutely beautiful and having Jana help me again for the second time hosting my events has been very helpful and making the events a great success. Having a bartender at your events is a great hit for your parties. The last event me and my husband hosted our 30 year anniversary vow renewal, and it was fun beautiful as well. We had Jana send us a bartender, a grill master Chef and someone to help us serve and cleanup. I cannot tell you how wonderful that was to have all of the help that I needed. It is all so worth the money. I can't wait to use her team again. This is the best party staffing coming around. Thank you! Jana for all you help with sending us great people in your staff and making sure that we are very happy.

Me and my husband just celebrated our 30th wedding Anniversary, and without the help of Roy, Lori, and J'Tae it couldn't have been more beautiful. They were very attentive to our guests and very helpful with cleanup. I plan to never have an event without the help of Jana, and her crew again, they were wonderful.thank you so much.

I just celebrated my 50th bday this past Saturday. When I called to make the reservation the lady on the phone who I assume is the owner was great. It was easy to make the reservation and she explained thoroughly what the server would be expected to do. Myla the server showed up on time and she was amazing!!! She was on top of everything!! Thank you Myla! I definitely recommend this company.

Recently used A List for my wedding. Cannot speak highly enough of them! Booking was super easy and very thorough. I felt like I was kept in the loop every step of the way. They asked for lots of details, including things I wouldn't have thought to tell them. Day of the event, staff showed up early and were very professional. They found out exactly what my bride wanted to drink and were ready and waiting to serve her a glass when we sat down to dinner.

We hired A List for a party this past weekend. $35 per hour for one worker. She did an excellent job. It was a small party with catered food. The hired help was just expected to add more food to the buffet when it got low and take out the trash. It was a very low stress gig. We were very pleased with what she did.
But then after it was over, I was told that a minimum of $50 was required for a tip. That's a 30% tip. The owner even called me to explain that if I didn't give such a big tip, it means that I thought the worker did a horrible job. She did a great job, and I tipped her that amount but not knowing that it was going to cost an additional 30% is significant. Anyway, would I recommend the service, yes. But just know that a 30% tip is expected and they'll even call you and try to make you feel bad for it.
In the paper work, it does say that a $50 tip is average. It seems that they don't understand what the word average means because they think it means minimum. She told me that some of her clients tip $100 and $150 sometimes. Well I don't know how big those parties were, how long those parties lasted or what they were required to do, but apparently they don't take that into consideration. So think twice about hiring these guys if it's just a small get together like we had. They'll expect you to tip like you had them walking up flights of stairs, serving hundreds of guest. smhHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Jason, I just saw this and I believe you just called me to re-book another party this month. So this is a bit confusing to me. Just to clarify about gratuity. The staff get paid an hourly rate and the business obviously has to run and pay our bills too. Staff work for their tips as in all hospitality jobs. Tips are NOT mandatory and are only suggested. I have it in my agreement that goes out to each client as a "suggested tip" Whether people read the agreement or not is on them because it has to be signed and returned to us.You did sign your agreement before the staff came out to you so I assume you did KNOW. Also it is on the time sheet so you would have seen it twice as a suggestion. What should always be considered is that this is not a restaurant where we run you some food and throw it on a table for a %20 tip. We come in an hour before the event, we drive our own cars, use our gas and drive sometimes HOURS in traffic to and from your homes, we stay and clean and leave your place spotless and we do everything that is needed within our scope of work during the event and go way over and above for our clients, I hope. 98% of my clients tip the average of $50 based on how many hours, how hard they worked etc. Clients ask all the time what is the average tip so I write it out and I always answer the question when asked. It is VERY rare when clients give them less than $50 so when this happens. I get concerned and reach out to find out if you were happy with the service which is what I did with you. My staff told me that they worked very hard for you. They were disappointed in the small tip yes but there is nothing we can do about it. I reach out to the clients when tips are low to be sure you had ok service or to see if there is anything we can do to improve and if they did not do a good job, I need to know immediately. I would like people to think twice on hiring us, we have some of the best staff in LA and very consistent so you will get what you pay for. If people do not believe in tips, then we are not for them. I am not trying to insult anyone but these are working actors or some career staffers with loads of experience in some of the finest places in the world. They work really hard and depend on this. I would rather send them where they are appreciated. With all of this said, if this is a large event then the tip scale works completely differently so that no one is deterred from using us by getting mislead by your comments. I am extremely transparent and honest when people ask me about this and it is written fully out in the agreements. Maybe get some kids to help or use another outlet if you are a person that does not believe in tips. What I said about the tips was on the holidays especially- many clients tip $100 or more - so you sort of got that right - and some clients do tip that way- BUT not all of them. Again, to be clear to everyone reading this, the average is $50 and at depends on how the clients feel - I have staff who have gotten up to $600 but that is very special. I am being very honest and giving the long explanation but a very necessary response. I am glad you had a good experience that is a plus. That is my goal for all clients to have excellent service.

I only wish I could give more stars! I was putting on a charity event and had the crazy idea that I would do all the cooking and serve a plated dinner to 30+ guests, which was a little daunting. Jana was super responsive and assured me I was in good hands, and she was right. The staff were so capable and professional, and took excellent care of my guests. They thought of little details I had overlooked and really added value to the event. I can't recommend this company highly enough, and will probably never throw another party without them. Big, big thanks to Myla, Jackie, and Tayah.

If you're going to have any size party, I would highly recommend Jana and her amazing team. We threw a kids birthday party and Jana was so helpful in determining how many helpers we'd need.
Our helpers Morgan and Nadia were super helpful and they gave us the opportunity to enjoy our party. They were detailed in their work and always proactive about doing things that would help make our party go smoothly.
I would say our party was a great success in part to our awesome helpers.

I contacted Jana to book a bartender and kitchen helper for my recent house warming party. I am so glad I used this service because the staffers she sent were amazing! I'm the type of person who will obsess and micro-manage the staffers but Christos, the kitchen helper, was so proactive and reliable that I was able to get out of the kitchen and have fun at my own party. Also, everyone loved the drinks that Roy was mixing up and the whole party ended up being a big hit. Big thanks to this company!

For the first time in 8 years my wife/I actually enjoyed our own party!! It's an annual tradition where I do all the cooking, and we invite over about ~25 of our closest friends to celebrate in our small condo. On a whim, I found and called A-List. Jana (the owner) was great - and we booked Jean and Emily. In the past, I would have to spend almost the entire time in the kitchen not leaving until our friends with young kids had already left. This time, I got to ENJOY the party, and the staying up until 2 or 3am to clean-up?! NOPE! Jean & Emily, served and cleaned as they went. HIGHLY recommend and I already pre-booked them for next year!
