I was so excited to see the new location that moved into Huron Point Tavern's location. I was astounded by the changes they made, it was beautiful. This once tiny bar with lots of un-utilized space is now a beauty worth admiring. We were so impressed. They have original lighting from the original Alescis! They have multiple bars now and a beautiful upstairs that wasn't open but we still got to peak and I'm so excited to come back.
Another reason to come back? Their mac and cheese. I've heard great things. We didn't order food but the menu looked reasonably priced and offered a good array of basic foods for those just snacking or those starving.
Finally onto the best part - Robert! Whoever hired Robert needs to give themselves a pat on the back and give him a bonus because he was the star of the show! He was so friendly, kept us entertained and honestly we were debating missing the start of the game to keep hanging out with him! Ask him about meeting Seether and Lionel Ritchie - he has pics!!!! What a cool guy, always ready with a witty joke. We want to be his regulars because he was super cool and made our visit a ton of fun!!
Please go check this out - we love the folks at AJ Roccos, we love that they revived the building and kept this great bar downtown after huge losses like Paninis and HPT, we need these cool little places to thrive!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Paul O.Mansfield, OH011Nov 7, 2019
Went there on 11-06-19 before the Tool concert at Rocket Mortage Fieldhouse. We weren't even going to go there but one of their employees was outside there and convinced us to try them out. We asked if they had pizza. He said yes. Is it good? He said yes! So we went in tried it out.
A.J. Rocco's is very nice and cool place. Their staff is very friendly. Outstanding service. They have a pretty extensive beer list too.
Their pizza? We got their pepperoni pizza. Thin, crispy sauce, sauce was tangy, and the pepperoni was excellent. Very underrated pizza. Quite good. So, if you are looking for some good pizza, A.J. Rocco's is a great alternative to places like Pizza 216.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Renee K.Cleveland, OH145307109Dec 15, 2019
I thought this bar was pretty good, but nothing really stood out to me. The staff is super friendly and we got served right away. I had a Christmas Ale and my friend got some sort of well cocktail. I thought it was good. It's a small, intimate space and just a typical local bar. If I was going to a sporting event, I'm sure I would go in and grab a quick drink with others, but I'm not sure I would purposely go out of my way to do so. Don't get me wrong, it was good though!

I love the ambience of this little place. What is a cozy coffee shop by day transforms into a quaint and hip place to have a beer after a long day at work. One of my favorite things about this place is the atmosphere and welcoming staff...it's like walking in and being enveloped in a big warm hug. The Guinness doesn't hurt! :) I can't really give a review on the food here since I've only had one thing: an egg, cheese and sausage sandwich for breakfast. It was good but not something you couldn't get elsewhere.
Another tip: If you come on a Tuesday then be sure to get the coffee for $1!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nick S.Columbus, OH126128160May 2, 2017
7 WORDS: CENTRALLY LOCATED / TASTY PUB GRUB / PLEASANT PATIO.
On a Game (Basketball) night, we decided to grab a bite to eat before watching the Cavs. We took a short walk and quickly ran into a host standing outside drumming up Pre-Game business.
We passed by,, opting for another place nearby. Although the other plans except wasn't busy, they seemed distracted, so we returned to AJ Rocco's and we were quickly seated.
Like our host, our waitress was pleasant. She took our orders of a Reuben and Chicken Salad Sandwich and returned with both in under ten minutes.
My Reuben was pretty standard. The potato chips and dill pickle spears were pretty standard, too.
The servings were average, but the total bill, including two beers and soda, came to $27. Not a great value, but certainly a very good one.
What's more, the host decided to refill my chips on a whim and was quick with a refill.
The inside bar has a long dark oak bar along one wall and plenty of 4-top seating inside and out. Since AJ Rocco's is only a half-block from the Jake (Progressive Field) or the Q, it's a great place before or after the game.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kimberly S.Cleveland, OH23822416Dec 2, 2011
I invite you to take the A.J. Rocco's challenge (which I'm inventing right now...on the fly...)
1) Go to A.J. Roccos
2) Order the Irish Coffee
3) Try to not FLIP OUT because it is RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS!!!!!
That's it - let me know how it goes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Frances D.Cleveland, OH03Mar 15, 2017
Love the staff, pizza and their Irish coffee!!! It has fresh whipped cream and is the best in town! Fun to hang out during sporting events.

Coffeehouse by day, neighborhood pub by night. AJ Rocco's is a great local spot reminiscent of a Cleveland "Cheers". You often see the same familiar faces and there is a welcoming atmosphere. They serve Cleveland Coffee Company coffee... which is my personal favorite here in town. All of the food & sandwiches are great - they use Boar's Head meats and the pizza is delicious. Nice selection of craft beers - they carry a lot of the local breweries, but also have domestics if you're into that sort of thing. I saw someone else mentioned the Irish Coffee... and yeah, it's the best!
Get there early for a breakfast sandwich or a Bialy's bagel before they run out for the day... Rocco's is one of the only places in the downtown/near downtown area where you can find a decent bagel! It's always a good spot to pop in before events downtown or even to watch the games... they host a lot of fun things too like live music, pumpkin carving in the Fall, the occasional trivia nights, etc.
Rocco's holds a dear spot in my heart and is one of my favorite places in Cleveland.
FYI they also rent out for private parties where they have catering services as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Malissa G.Cleveland, OH013Nov 1, 2018
I couldn't give it a 5 because of the so-called Corned Beef sandwich. It's Cleveland, we do corned beef by the pound, not the slice. We unhinge our jaw to bite, not lift bread to say where's the (corned) beef.
Otherwise, this place is fantastic!! Coffee & breakfast sandwiches are good, lunch is good (tho i hate their rotini salad for its too much dressing!). Great location, nice patio. And it stays open, unlike other nearby establishments that are only open for Tribe games.
Enjoy, but go somewhere KNOWN for their corned beef. (you know the ones!)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emily D.Cleveland, OH3959124May 30, 2017
AJ Rocco's is so underrated. They seriously have everything you could ever want - coffee, breakfast sandwiches, salads, wraps, sandwiches, alcohol, and if you're lucky you could get a buckeye for dessert. I am fortunate enough to work in the Caxton building and not only is AJ Rocco's convenient but it's delicious and affordable. A great option for fast casual dining on the patio or takeout! Highly recommend.
