I really enjoy working with Adam! Our first time around was great. My girlfriend and I spent a weekend in Corpus and took about 12 hours of lessons. In that time we both managed to ride a couple of times and we are about to go back this weekend to become pros!!!
Adam is very patient and is very willing to work with any skill level. Can't wait to go back and give it another try!
Kiteboarding is a blast and as soon as you get your first ride in you will be hooked!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kelvin L.Corpus Christi, TX21May 6, 2014
My fiancé and I take a motorcycle road trip every year. One of our destinations on this year's adventure ride was Corpus Christi and Padre Island. While walking along the beach we saw people surfing... while being pulled along by a kite! We thought "2 fun beach activities in one! We're game!"
Enter Adam "A-Bomb" DelVecchio, former pro wakeboarder and certified kite boarding coach for the last 15 years.
The best way I could describe Adam's teaching style is that he is like a friend that makes the whole experience fun while making sure we wouldn't get hurt. He went through the entire process of kite boarding from understanding the wind, gear, set up, basics of kite flying (this isn't your normal $5 walmart kite ok)... Then he took us into the water and taught us some drills, including how to eventually get up on the board!
He had all the gear we needed but recommended tight fitting water shoes which you can get from any surf shop. He even had a helmet with a go pro mount!
Overall, a memorable experience. He goes your pace and never tries to rush you. For this reason, if this is completely new to you, I'd recommend at least 2-3 hours if you are by yourself and 3-4 hours if you are with a friend (since he does work with you individually while the other person looks on).
I hope you find this review helpful. Get out there and have some fun!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
