As you wait for one of the longest red lights in NJ to change, your anticipation grows, as you have a choice of several, ample parking areas. On the other hand, to the left is the abandoned Home Depot store, maybe a sign of things to come.

Enter the museum. Dingy, dark entry into a large staging area for coffee, deli and carts of condiments, all of which seem like orphaned, abandoned children.
To the bakery, where double-sided bins of rolls and bagels beg you to circle at least twice, until you're lightheaded.

If you decide to go, why not wear a Halloween costume! No one will notice.

      Clean Well Stocked Pricey

I shop here due to it's location, despite the high prices I find the sale items are often what I want here so use the circular that comes in the Community News for the best deals. The old guy behind the fish counter is so cranky it's laughable.

I will pay a premium to shop in a clean modern supermarket.

10 minute walk from the house means I can get anything in a pinch, or enjoy a lovely walk during a sunny warm day. So location is a plus.

Selection is better than average, but not as good as other supermarkets, but not as good as it should be given the price this place commands.

Price is hideous; anywhere from 1.5 to 2 times the price of any other supermarket.

I only come here in emergency situations when I can't get what I want from my regular supermarket.

It's no wonder A&P went bankrupt again, and this place was purchased by ACME, but ACME is no better.

First thing that grabs your attention when you walk in, it's usually clean and well stocked. I never had a problem finding parking, as it's a huge lot and a lot of people actually park further away.

After you walk in, a small section for flowers and plants is to your right, which they actually keep well stocked, and the flowers don't die easily either.

Everyone brags about this bakery... and they should, it\s actually good. A lot of cakes and cookies are made there, and they're tasty. What I do have a problem with, is sometimes the cakes and dessert they put on clearance usually expire in a day or two. It's like they give you a reason to eat it in a short time. Other than that, they put a few items on sale here and there, but nothing really grabs your attention

      Very important:
If you know it's gonna snow and need salt, don't second guess yourself... get 2 or more salt bags or jugs. Yes, we had a crappy winter this year, but they sold out of salt so fast, and couldn't get anymore in.

By far, the Best bakery of any supermarket anywhere. Its even better than some actualy bakeries i know of. Extremely good selection of everything. But most of all, its very clean

However as the talented and awesome She C said already, it is very pricey. SO bring your wallet.

      Very good supermarket!

Although A&P is the pricier grocery store around, this is a gorgeous store. The selection of everything is top-notch, the store is clean, and the staff is helpful. But the best thing of all is the bakery... delectable cakes, cookies, pastries, fresh breads.... mmmmmmmmmmm. I've rarely run into big crowds here, and am generally in and out of the self checkouts in no time at all.

They have a red box video machine, an ATM, and ice machine. No complaints!

It's taken a long time for A&P to lose me completely as a customer. I used to really like shopping there, but this store in particular, is awful. Of course, their prices are ridiculously high; 10% to 30% higher than the local Shop-Rite but that's not what ultimately drove me away. Too many times I can't get what I went in for. Especially at the salad bar.

It's the one advantage they have over the competition - the fresh salad bar. I'd think that they would make sure that it's always well stocked but I was wrong. I brought this problem to the attention of the managers there more times than I can remember over the past couple of years but they seem unwilling or unable to find a person in their produce section capable of fulfilling this simple task. I stopped in there last week for a salad and a few other items and - surprise - the bar was not fully stocked. I was so frustrated that I left and drove to Shop-Rite to pick up the other things I needed. I simply refuse to spend another penny at a business that is run so poorly.

      A&P has notoriously high prices.

This store specifically has a Grade-A bakery department, the cakes are delightful especially strawberry angel food cake.

The cheese selection is awesome, but you will pay a premium.
It is open 24/7 which helps for late night grocery pick-ups

I'm not a huge fan of A&P but this particular one is literally right around the block from my apartment so i go here when I need just a few things. The store itself is very clean and usually not too crowded, I only experienced long lines once when it was going to snow like a foot of snow and everyone was stocking up the day before. The prices are pretty high so when i want to do a major food shopping I head to Shop Rite in Lodi. The stock is not so good either, there has been times when i bought something one week and went the next week and they didn't have it nor never restocked it again. It is fine if you need a few things and are in a pinch but other food stores have way lower prices and better stock.

Always nice and clean with fresh selection of produce and meat & seafood. Not cramped and overcrowded like neighboring supermarkets. The self checkout area is also nice and roomy and I never feel guilty allowing my 3 year old to scan all the items. I can't do that in any other supermarket because there is typically a line of people giving me the evil eye. Overall a good shopping experience.
