My friend and I had a fun night at The Argyle. We were in line for Good Times around the corner when I had to go to the bathroom urgently. We stepped out of line and ran into a club promoter for the Argyle.
All I can say is the club is only fun if you know a promoter and have a VIP table/bottle service otherwise it's pretty mediocre and gets crowded late in the night. The music was good when we went--it felt like partying in college all over again a bit.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 4263905999Aug 19, 2018
Came in for an Elite event. We didn't got a problem getting in. Drinks were on point too. Nice ambiance, decor and lighting. DJ was playing a good and upbeat music.
When the place started to open for public at 11 pm, the ambiance changed. I didn't enjoy the fact the music stayed towards slow rap song, instead of more upbeat/ top 40 type of music.
Crowds are geared more towards young adults and some of them were smoking inside.
Restroom located downstairs, in which was a hassle to go up and down. But restroom were clean and nice decor.
We got free drinks for the event, and afterwards they're charging about $14 per drink. Friendly bartender and staff. But it was my first time, and we had the event.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jan 3, 2018
I came here on the day before NYE. We got here pretty early, but as the night went on it became pretty crowded. I believe we got 3 bottles that night, but I don't remember exactly. The prices are pretty decent for bottles from what I remember. Argyle isn't a large club, but the inside is nice from what I remember. They also had dirty dogs outside after the club which is a plus!
When I came they had a mix of mostly white and asian patrons. I would say that most of the people were in their 20 to 30's. I heard it can get pretty crowded if you go late and they will most likely make you wait outside in a line before getting in.
I would definitely come back to Argyle to check it out again if I'm looking to club in the area.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Sydney S.San Lorenzo, CA24459Feb 10, 2019
STOP SUPPORTING #RACIST AND #BODYSHAMING ESTABLISHMENTS. I'd give this place a ZERO
I just want to share the horrible experience I and my friends had @theargyle this Saturday night
Also, Take a second to view this video on YouTube Fox 11 that reports this place as being a racist and body shaming establishment. I didn't believe it until I actually experienced it myself.
On Saturday night, I contacted @ghandi the club promoter that 5 girls (including myself) would be coming for a girls night. This promoter gives free entry and bottle service to women he brings in.
One of the girls that were coming out with us sent me a link from Fox 11 about how @theargyle treats people. That's when I texted @ghandi (See the screen shots above) to make sure it wasn't true because one of my friends is a plus sized BBW.
But lo and behold, when we got to the door everything was good until they saw I had my BBW friend with me. That's when the (very rude) bouncer with the clipboard started whispering words to the club promoter.
They let 5 different groups of people in. That's when I asked ghandi what was the hold up. He ignored me while on his phone. So I asked again, hey what's going on because you guys have let 5 groups in already and we're still waiting. That's when he told me each female is going to have to pay $50!!! WHAT?! $50 effin dollars?
I was like so why didn't you say this before? And he was like I told you to be here at 10:45. & Prior to this convo, I had already texted him we would be there at 11 and if it was okay. And he said yes. (See another screen shot) So what has changed ?!
So that's when my other friend contacted her promoter (**my other friend also texted a different promoter just in case ghandi didn't work out**). She has used him before and NEVER had any problems with him. I think his name was Luke or Luca.
Again, as soon as we told Luke who was in our group he said for us to wait. We're like okay at this point we already know what was going on.
They wouldn't let us in because we had a BBW woman with us who also is African American. Period.
Just look at the reviews on this place and watch that fox 11 report. This place should not be supported by your money. If you're black, don't believe in racism, and body shaming people then don't bring your money here.
Report this place to the better business bureau and move on.
I just felt like I should share this. Because this shit happens in 2019 and it shouldn't follow into the next year.
Bring your business elsewhere

If you like waiting in line forever and being in the cold, then this is the place to be. Even if you are promised on the guestlist, be ready to wait over an hour for no reason!!!!
The promoter tried his best to be nice and tell me just a few more minutes, but basically he was lying so that I can stand in line in the heels for an hour or more (SCREW YOU ARGYLE! ). Is there a need to do this? I can understand, yes you are on the guestlist...I am okay with waiting say 30 to 40 max, but after that, you are just being a flat out asshole and taking advantage of people and treating them like crap.
Course, I left after 35 minutes (line did not move)...This club is not worth it to wait. Very disorganized and lack customer service.
And just to let you know beautiful ladies who come in a group. When I was there on a saturday night there are way more beautiful ladies than there are men. Honestly, I saw like 3 dudes. Two of them were with other ladies. Basically, no men at this club...expect for the people that work there.. lol...hopefully, it is just on the night that I tried to get in. I saw no men in line. Probably because they charge $40 to $50 and up on a special event with guest appearance. Come on people! if you do this at least be more organized and have better customer service and consideration for people waiting in the cold.Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Aug 27, 2018Updated review
Parking is a big challenge around this area, the flat rate parking lot next to it get full easily at night, you'll have to find either street or use their valet service. The security was also very strict in checking IDs and won't let you wander around the gate, either in or out. Once you get in, the fun part started, overall it's a good experience, the bar was near the very end, fast and friendly service, hot waitresses, the dancing pool wasn't very big, it's not a same scale comparing to those clubs in vegas, the only annoying part here is that people might step on you and split their drinks over you.
Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Aug 19, 2018Previous reviewIt's a full bar inside the nightclub, very fast service, so loud and packed line though, and they do run out items quickly on a high volume night, the s'mores tasted great not super alcoholic but sweet flavor.

If I could give this RACIST place 0 stars I would.
Never have I been to a more openly and blatantly discriminated against at an establishment.
The night my friends and I came here, we were not allowed in due to one of our shoes not having "straps around the ankle."
JUST minutes later, another lady is let in with no hesitation and she also did NOT have straps on her shoes. When asked if we could speak to the owner, we were constantly, given the run around "oh he's busy at the moment" blah blah blah.
I WOULD NEVER SPEND TIME OR MONEY AT A PLACE THAT I DO NOT FEEL WELCOMED AND IS NOT OPEN AND EQUAL TO ALL. I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO DO THE SAME!Helpful 29Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 21, 2018
Expect to leave with no hearing, no voice, and no feet (that's if you're wearing heels). When you're someone with a good attitude and you're drinking, you're going to have a great time, regardless of any mishaps, but there are several adjustments that should be made to this place.
First off, there was one particular older looking man who works here that was incredibly rude, invasive, disrespectful, impolite, inattentive, among others. Somebody needs to talk to him or he should get fired.
As for the "strict dress code policy," there is no strict dress code. People were wearing whatever the hell they wanted: open toed sandals, sneakers worn by men and women, jeans and a t-shirt worn by men and women, etc. Nobody complied to the "strict dress code," therefore there is no strict dress code.
Also, I was slightly concerned that the person who checked I.D.'s didn't perform bag checks. There's been several violent events that's happened all throughout the US in the last couple of years, so I'd assume back checks were required by all businesses. Especially when alcohol is involved.
The DJ's played Drake 50% of the time and overplayed radio music the other 50% of the time. Where's the variety man?! The music wasn't my cup of tea, but as I said in the beginning of my review, if you have a good attitude then you're going to have fun regardless.
As for the club's exterior and interior. The exterior of the club is sketchy and in an unsafe area. The interior is very nice and clean. Although not very many opportunities for photo ops for those of you who enjoy selfies and whatnot, but the club itself is well designed and organized. I do appreciate the ceiling lights.
In regards to the drinks, they're drinks. You can get them anywhere. But the one significant difference from this place was that, "what're measurements?" They just pour and serve. Equal parts I'd say. So calm yourself when you're drinking here, and of course everywhere. Also, don't be an idiot and drive home.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 8651133695Aug 18, 2018
Came here with my fiancé tonight for an elite event. Got valet. $20. Regular amount for
Hollywood. The guy didn't have on a uniform
Or anything, which I thought was odd. I feel if you're gonna be a valet worker, your clothing should distinguish you from just a random guy on the street.
Didn't have any issues getting in, obviously. This event was specifically for us to critique. We walked in and the music was good. We walked straight to the bar. Got our drinks. I ordered a spicy Paloma. Definitely the right name for it too! It had a nice kick. I even had to spit out a legit seed! Lol I enjoyed it. It was new for me. Never had one before.
Atmosphere was dark with just the right amount of light. Music the dj was playing was good. Had me on my feet for sure! That Latin fire music had me feeling it.
The stairway to the restroom was so damn hot though!! I couldn't believe how much the temperature changed when I walked down those stairs! Ugh. I was honestly dreading going I to the bathroom. But good thing the restroom itself wasn't that same way. It was clean and nice. The decor matched the club.
I saw them being out cups and flutes for drinks. I noticed they looked super cloudy. Like they were dirty, but I think it's more that they're thick plastic and just old and worn.
Overall not too bad. Super small here so I can see it getting crowded very fast. I thought they were going to take out some seating before they opened to public, but they didn't. Lounge chairs take up a lot of room here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
