I have had the pleasure of boarding my horse here for over a year and he as thrived at Wild Rose Farm. Elsie pays excellent attention to the individual care and needs of each horse to ensure proper care.

The turnout situation is one of the best I have seen among various boarding facilities. Horses hooves are even picked by staff after they have been outside.

Feed quality is great- horses are fed as much as they need and have individualized feeding plans that are adjusted as needed.

The barn is quiet and peaceful. There is never traffic in the arena and the property is well-maintained.

There is little tolerance for drama and Elsie ensures that the dynamic at the barn (whether it is staff or boarders) stays pleasant and professional.

If you are looking for quality care, a quiet and kind social dynamic, and a beautiful place to spend time with your horse, Wild Rose Farm is a great option.

My horse has loved Wild Rose Farm and I feel very lucky to be able to board here. My horse was more relaxed here the first day of arriving than she had been for months at a previous barn. The horses well being is prioritized and that is apparent through the peacefulness of the horses. Elsie is helpful and very intelligent in her horsemanship as well as her processes. It's nearly impossible to find barns in the PNW with much turnout due to the mud, but at Elsie's place the horses have ample room to explore and be horses for a while each day, and then there stalls have large open windows on both sides so the horses can observe the goings ons. Very much recommend Wild Rose Farm.

Would never recommend working or boarding here. Wonderful barn and arena, but the turnout fencing is a death trap and the owner is nearly impossible to work with. Witnessed a horse hospitalized because of the barn owner's negligence and not following the horse owner's guidance for the horse's recovery. My own also had several easily preventable injuries, from mild to extremely severe. It is absolutely unfortunate to see. I wish I had read one of the other reviews here before moving in.

I have been boarding here for a year, and I absolutely love it. My horse is the happiest he has ever been. Horses are put out in scheduled group turnouts where they get to roam many acres and explore. They are fed 4x daily, blanketed during the cold season, fly sprayed in the summer, and have their feet picked when they come in. You do need to clean your own stalls (barn staff can cover if you need them to clean certain days) and the wonderful barn owner allows you to pick up barn chore shifts to work off part of your board/lessons. I have learned a lot taking lessons with Elsie, and have come a long way with my project horse. The barn is geared towards English riders, particularly those with an interest in eventing. The large covered arena has great footing and is well maintained. Facilities are well cared for, and any issues are quickly addressed. There is great trail access to old logging roads, and a nice hacking loop and riding field available during the dry season. Elsie offers lessons to people who do not own horses, as well as to those boarding. The lessons are based on creating a strong foundation and building from there, fully understanding the process.
I would highly recommend this barn to anyone looking to board in the area. It is mostly OSU and LBCC students, but it has a friendly drama-free atmosphere. It is a smaller barn with a few stalls available to boarders, which makes getting time to work in the arena very easy.
