US Post Office

I have mailed over 60 items at the USPS Office in Danville, Indiana and the service there in the station has been great! The home delivery is often sub standard (rate a 3) leaving boxes open and missing some deliveries

This location has horrible customer service and one really lazy carrier! Because I could not pick up a package in the parcel box (central mailbox) - she took not only the package but also all of my mail AND put a HOLD on ALL mail!

I sent a complaint to the PO - the first time she delivered my mail herself and apologized. The other times I have not heard a word from my complaints so have to drive to Danville to p/u so they release the HOLD the carrier chose to put on my mail.
Oh did I mention this is the 4th time?

Friendliest staff and 3 stations open. I have been sending 40 pre-holiday gift packages to friends and family this time of year from a variety of cities and states that we've lived in over the last two decades and this post office is one of the best. USPS gets hit hard this time of year, similar to accountants who do tax returns for folks in March and April.
So I'm always so amazed and grateful to be greeted with a smile and with such friendly service when sending so many items during busy season.

There is a reason the post office isn't used much anymore. The guy on my route is totally worthless and when you call, I happened to get tony this time, he couldn't seem to ge his story straight as to why the package don't get dropped off. Bottom line they are lazy and not helpful at all, if you can avoid them, you need to. If your service is as bad as mine, take it to Amazon which I did, and get them to only use them in a pinch.
