Horrible service

I don't know whats up with this chain.
I hear so many horror stories, however I had a hair emergency, and took a chance.

It's clear at this location the only cater to certain clients, certain types of hair textures.

I had made my appointment online, I walk in on time.

and this older woman with glasses
rude yelling from across the room. At first I did not know if she was talking to me because this is a place of business, where there should be some level of professionalism.

Apparently, she was speaking to me what I want, ?? Can yall not walk up and speak face to face to me

I tell them, exactly what service I was to get and with who.

... and then another employee tall older woman maybe 50s, tall woman with dark hair. Rude... saying unnecessary things.


the person who you scheduled the appointment with has no experience in bleaching hair. (TRUNAG) really? Because I thought your supposed to know these things before your licensing exam. I called her on her bluff. Because the woman who I never met, was in the hair washing station, did not wanna service me. From what my friends and some of my cousins told me, that HC is the lowest of the lowest hair salons. The employees are all gossipy and love to treat client's like crap when it comes to closing time.

It was clear from the treatment I received here is they didn't want to service me. Seems like they wanted to close shop earlier.

Avoid Hair Cuttery and spend more mkney upscale salon. This place seems to cater to certain types of hair and clients. Im glad for the poor treatment, who only knows how they would have handled my hair.

Sima did a great job haircut my hair. She understood what I need for her to cut my hair.

Too busy too fast overwhelmed stylists. $33 for a five min cut after an hour wait wasn't worth it.
They need to hire more stylists to actually enjoy their work.

I love Yasmine and, while I'm sure the other stylists there are great, she has treated me so wonderfully that I am sure to book her for every visit.

I've never been to a Haircuttery, and I went to the branch in Kentlands in January 2023 for the first time. It was easy to make an appointment online, I made one for the "Signature cut and classic blowout" which a shampoo haircut and blow dry. When making the appointment it said the price will be $35 or more, final cost depending on hair length and time it would take for my haircut.
When I arrived my first impression was that it was like a Supercuts or fantastic sams. But seemed a little nicer and cleaner. The salon was pretty busy at this time, all of the stylists seemed to be with customers. Someone immediately greeted me at the desk, and I was quickly seated at her station. She checked with me to see what hairstyle I wanted, and told me up front that it would be $48 total, I appreciated her telling me and making sure I was okay with the cost, because I've never had someone tell me before we start! Shampoo was gentle and relaxing, and then my haircut took about 10-15 min. She checked in with me a couple of times to make sure the length was good with me. I was so relaxed I dozed off. And everything looked amazing after the blowdry! I would definitely return to this location, and highly recommend my stylist Frewayne.

Fara did a fantastic job on my hair as always! Literally what I envisioned! She listened and made suggestions until I totally just said "I trust you got this".

Yasmine is an incredibly talented stylist. She is very professional, kind, listens to her customers, and I always leave the salon looking and feeling amazing. I usually get my highlights done along with a cut, style, and eyebrow waxing. If you are in need of a stylist, I highly recommend Yasmine! She takes appointments and it's very easy to book your appointment online

I haven't been here before it's always nerve wracking to try a new place. i was surprised at the reviews. I walked in and all the women were so friendly and I felt so welcome.
I was lucky enough to beable to have my hair cut and styled by Yasmine. She was a delight and did a beautiful job on my hair.
I've read she does magic and it's true!
I highly recommend this Hair cuttery and the stylist.
All the women working were doing beautiful haircuts.

Really disappointed. Pissed actually. Ive been growing my hair out for the several few months. When I stopped in, I specifically told the woman Tran IM GROWING MY HAIR OUT AND ONLY WANT TO TRIM AROUND THE EARS AND THE BACK NECK LINE, DO NOT CUT THE TOP, thats it!!! She Chopped my effing hair off the back and top anyway !!! Like near a buzz cut on the back of my head! Really annoyed. Never going back. And, it smelled awful inside.
