Good food for brunch. I have had dinner here also. Good service and good food. We need to come back more and try other items.

My husband and I have been coming to Canyon Road for years and have always enjoyed our meals. We went tonight for the first time in a few months and were disappointed. The portions seem to be much reduced. The grilled salmon was much smaller and the rice dish/vegetables that came with it were even smaller. The steak was very chewy, then my glass of Chardonnay was less than half a glass. The staff was very attentive - no criticism there!

Must try: Al Carbon Tacos and Churros!
Why: Tacos were packed with delicious juicy sautéed hanger steak with onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cheese. Lots of flavor in each bite. For dessert, we shared Churros, which was really good too. I loved the deep fried churros with caramel and ice cream with a strawberry slice in each bite.
Notes: Very spacious and clean restaurant. Great spot for a date night, group dinner, or just a solo night at the bar. Very friendly and helpful workers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - May 17, 2023
We stopped by to have a drink at the bar at this restaurant in the Upper East Side of NYC while waiting for our reservation at another restaurant. I had a Margarita $13 and it was fine. The service was great.

I want to say that I first liked this restaurant. The food was good. Our waitress was lovely. My only problem was that we came for a party of 8 for a birthday party calling the day before asking if we could bring a cake to sing happy birthday. We were told we could. We handed the cake to the person who sat us and proceeded to have dinner. After dinner,
I was told there was a 3 dollar a person plating charge for having my own cake served. When we called, it was never mentioned. That meant another 24 dollars to use their plates and forks. We inquired why this was not mentioned to us in the phone call and asked to see the manager who wouldn't come to our table. It left the poor waitress feeling very awkward. We spent close to 300 dollars for dinner. This was more about the fact that we called in advance and was never told and the manager refusing to come to our table when asked. So we will never be returning not because of the food but because management obviously doesn't care about their patrons.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maggie R.Las Vegas, NV058Aug 3, 2023
A higher quality, unique Mexican restaurant in the UES!
Our margarita pitcher was absolutely delicious, and so was the beergarita. The nachos were so satisfying as a shared app. I had the salmon empanadas, which each had a huge salmon filet in them. Not your typical Mexican cuisine, but we loved it. The service was also amazing. Very cute inside.
We would probably go back, but excited to try other Mexican places as well. Great spot for a date or friend get-together.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 25, 2022
Nice little Mexican find on the Upper East side.
Located on 1st between 76 & 77. Inside is warmly decorated giving that authentic feeling.
Met some friends here for Happy Hour. One of the best in the city. Yummy $8 margaritas and $10 snacks. Guacamole is delicious and made fresh right in front of you. Service is excellent. Ask for Gustavo at the bar. He'll make your night... not to mention, he makes a mean margarita!!!Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0 - 48414699Jan 28, 2023
Solid Mexican food restaurant. Overall the food was good. The nachos were good. For entrees we got steak tacos and the steak fajitas. The tacos were a good portion but just good. The fajitas were much better and I'd recommend those. The margs were solid. Overall good resto.

Beautiful ambiance! It was very crowded on a Friday night around 7:00 pm. Service was slow and they mixed up our orders. The food was mediocre. Nothing too extraordinary about the tacos but nothing bad about the food either. Average experience.

Food was great and easy to get a reservation last minute. Excellent frozen marguerites. I've been in here a few times and the food never disappoints. It's Mexican "inspired" food so I think they take a little license with the recipes.
