Specialty Gas House

I stopped here before the Memorial Day weekend to get the propane tank for my grill checked out. He weighed it and said it was about 1/3 full which would be an hour or two of grilling.

I mentioned the tank was at least 10 years old. He noted the tank was at or past the expiration date. He recommended I use it over the weekend and exchange it for a new one then bring the new tank for refills.

The whole process from order to installation of a gas log set could not have gone more smoothly. They called to confirm the time, the installer (I don't know his name) showed up on time with the right unit and everything he needed and he installed it. Then he explained everything and left us all the manuals. My husband and I were both very pleased.

Highly recommend Specialty Gas House ! They installed new gas lines to my firepit, grille, and pizza oven. They were professional, on time, and budget friendly. They are the best in Columbus at what they do ! Grant, Eli, and Jake are top notch and care about what they do. It shows in their work, the way they treat their customers, and how they are very knowledgeable about their craft !

Used Specialty Gas to have gas logs installed a long time ago so reached out to schedule maintenance on another fireplace. Scheduling was fine. Left a voice mail and received a call-back the next business day. Became concerned when my appointment (scheduled at the end of the day) came & week so followed-up with office. Once again, service number when straight to voice mail so called sales office. The gentleman was helpful and explained there was a delay. I was fine with his reply, but a proactive call would have been nice.

Cliff, the service technician, is about as good as they get! He is professional, knowledgeable, tidy and efficient. Truly an asset!

I'd rate Cliff as a 5 and communication as a 3, thus the 4 star rating.

Told us our propane tank was too old and wasnt certufied and woukdnt fill it. Found out that s not correct, if its your own personal use, only if for a business does it need to be re certified.

This is the second time I have called Specialty. The first time, the fireplace would not ignite at all. The first company I called said it was too old to repair and a new burner would be $5000. Called Specialty for a second opinion. The tubing was clogged and needed replaced. They took care of it , cleaned it up, and lit the pilot for us. Very reasonably priced. They said call us in 2 yrs for a check-up. I did, they re-lit my pilot ( I had turned it off being out of town for 3 months), they cleaned it and checked it. I feel so much better and safer. I appreciate the care.

Hands down, this is the best place in Central Ohio and beyond for gas fireplaces, grills, firepits and more. For many years, we had nice gas logs in our fireplace but they were inefficient and didn't provide much heat since it all went up the chimney. We visited Specialty Gas House and the sales staff were friendly and really listened to our needs. They explained what we could do to make our fireplace attractive and efficient. We chose the vent free option and Eli did a great job with the installation. The logs look great and it is the first time in almost 29 years that the fireplace heats the room and more. Not only did these guys call ahead, they were early. Josh was our guy and he is the man. Incredibly polite, efficient and friendly. Cleaned everything up and answered all our questions. Took his shoes off before coming in and was truly a gentleman. We never use anyone else to fix / maintain our fire places.

Very professional and honest! We were having trouble getting our gas fireplace to start and had a different contractor come out to give an estimate. The other company wanted to replace everything and charge me over $2,500. That just didn't seem right so we wanted to get another opinion. In less than 30 minutes the techs from Specialty Gas House found the issue and resolved it by replacing a faulty wall switch. Needless to say they saved me thousands of dollars! Their honesty and professionalism have made me a customer for life and I will recommend them to everyone. Thanks again!
