I was driving L.A. to Chicago. My reservation (Hotels.com) was for the LaQuinta in Edmund, OK. However, after a horrible check-in experience there, I verbally cancelled my reservation and just got back in the car heading north on 35.
I started looking for the next LaQuinta and was stressed because it was dark, cold, and getting late. I had no place to stay and 3 animals in the car. I called the Stillwater property and spoke to Rachel (I think) who was working the front desk. She was quickly able to confirm a reservation for that evening and accommodate my room requests (first floor, near exits). She honored the hotels.com rate and explained this property did not charge extra pet fees though others did (cough cough Edmund cough). She was super sweet and helpful.
The hotel is only a 10 minute drive or so east of the 35. Check-in was a breeze (they handed out sanitizer and wipes!). Location felt very secure with ample grassy areas on all sides for dog walking. I could park right outside my window. Location felt very safe and lots of food nearby.
Would definitely stay here again and am thankful for the help in a bad spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Malissa K.Waco, TX01Apr 22, 2024

Stayed here 1night. This was certainly not worst LaQuinta but it was mid range. The staff was very friendly. The entire hotel smelled like a cheap motel. Bed was good and comfortable. Refrigerator didn't work and smelled. Asked if someone could swap out fridge with a new one but was declined. They did offer to move us to another room. We were beat and really didn't feel like packing up and shuffling to another room, so we put the items we wanted to stay cold in the sink and filled it with ice.
I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 21, 2022
It wasn't our best stay ever, nor the worst. On the good side, the shower was a thing of beauty - oh, how I enjoyed it. And the included breakfast was decent. On the bad side, the walls and the refrigerator were disgustingly dirty. And we had really been looking forward to using the pool and hot tub, but they were "closed due to Covid", or "closed for repairs", depending on which sign you believed.

Definitely staying here anytime I'm in Stillwater. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The grounds were clean of debris. Great breakfast too. One of the best La Quintas I've ever stayed at.

Horrible service checked in at 7 am apparently he wasn't supposed to do that!!!! Had to wait another hour for a room with a working heater while the temps are dropping into the 20's. Calls my room at 10 something telling me I have to check out and pay $103 for 3 freaking hours!!!! I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN JUST HORRIBLE!!!!!!
DIDNT EVEN ATTEMPT TO ACCOMMODATE IN ANY WAYHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Donovan N.Southwest Arlington, Arlington, TX193029Mar 10, 2020
Always a solid place with my dad and I taking frequent trips to Stillwater.
THE GOOD:
* Room always clean
*Staff very attentive to our needs
*Bathroom always clean!
THE AVERAGE:
*Breakfast. It's free, you can't really complain. Unless you get food poisoning, of course
THE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT:
*The whole building. It saddens me to see newer Laquintas get faster renovations than others. While this is not completely outdated, it could use renovations.
Overall, highly recommend staying here if you are here for a football game or other related activity to Oklahoma State University! Go Pokes!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S R.Plano, TX14227Sep 8, 2020
Paul at this hotel was fantastic! He made sure to put our Covid concerns at ease, and was extra helpful with our questions. He made our event seamless and provided us with a super pleasant stay. Our rooms were quite-obviously clean, and we felt protected the whole time.
Thank you to the whole hotel, and big thanks to Paul!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa S.Stillwater, OK71182117Jan 25, 2020
I am going to start with the positives. Room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. Also, the price was good. The staff was friendly.
Unfortunately, the place was extremely noisy. The walls were paper thin and despite the hotel having about 5 rooms booked on the 4 floors they put us right next to someone. We could hear everyone walk pass in the hallway and could hear the elevator bell which was down the hall and around the corner.
Also, the breakfast was standard looking but be careful because the non dairy creamer I used in my coffee had curdled. Also, my dad got food poisoning from the biscuits and gravy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason c.Branson, MO13246May 16, 2020
With all things, it's in the details. Entrance superb, lobby superb, front desk staff superb, rooms... no the details. Overall very well kept and clean. But the details. Couldn't hear TV. Had to fix the toilet in order for it to flush. The pillow cases seemed dingy and smelled like dust. Internet speed was 6-10 mb and open. Had to tether to my phone. We did get a noise complaint for the people below us, I guess for walking to loud. Smh Then there's the coronavirus, cant use an amenities and breakfast was to go bag, but can't blame hotel for CDC regulations. Glad they were available. It was a greatish place to stay. I would give it 3.7 stars but I couldn't. Well priced and quiet place bit the details...
