Mary G.Picayune, MS01Jan 15, 2022Updated reviewVery minimal care. First concern is not the animal it's about $$$$$. My dog died after having his teeth cleaned....... no apologies ,no "I am sorry". ... No condolences. I was told by Vet since I asked so many questions maybe I should take my dying dog home and I should take care of him!

Oh no 0Dec 7, 2020Previous reviewMy dog had his teeth cleaned about 6 months ago and did fine,. on Nov 30 2020 I took him to AHC for teeth cleaning at 0900 and at 2pm got a call to pick him up. I picked him up at 3pm and the tech said he was "sleepy" As I drove the 2 miles home my Lil Boy was non responsive oozing blood and breathing very shallow and fast about 60/minute. I turned around and went back and a young guy opened the door and made me wait as the fella went to talk to "someone" finally got my dog in and vet "Allen" told me Lil Boy was in serious. So in the 5 or 6 minutes it took me to drive home and back my dogs condition was "serious" The vet did not intubate him and was mainly concerned that there was no pre op labs. So labs were drawn and xray taken. No dignosis was made but vet said we could either keep him in clinic overnight with no one with him.. or I take him home to care for him. or euthanize him. I took him home and he took his last breath 45 minutes later. He should never been discharged. What criteria does this place use or any vital signs or observations were done. I am a RN and I would have my license looked at closely

First, I want to say that everyone in the office was pleasant. The vet was very professional and efficient in his exam. My biggest complaint would be that when I arrived, I was told that the appointment was for the following day (Dec 6) at 1:40pm not that day (Dec. 5). When I got home, I double checked the email I received and found that the appointment was confirmed for Dec. 5. (On Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 07:54:59 AM CST, Animal Health Clinic ahcvetstore@gmail.com wrote: I have set it up for 1:40 pm on December 5th.) I am not sure where or how the error occurred, but I believe that more care should be taken to check the dates in an email before transferring them to the appointment system. Then the girl at the counter kept asking me for information which I had already provided on the paperwork that I was asked to fill out. Her response when I mentioned that was "Oh, I didn't look at the paperwork."
