The history and architecture buff in me is fascinated with how the store is inside what used to be Houston's main train station. The Astros fan in me felt like a kid in a candy store.

Those who bleed navy and orange can find what they're looking for here. As a budding bobblehead collector, what I want is usually sold out online or out of my price range so you should've seen my face when I laid my eyes on the Jose Altuve Space City bobblehead that's now sitting on my desk. Not bad for $60.

I also collect Astros fitted hats, but I think this place could do a lot better when it comes to its selection. I thought that since this is arguably the ground zero for everything Astros, they would sell hats that can't be found anywhere else. But alas, their stock is no different from Lids.

What redeems this business is that there are other locations throughout the ballpark and they have jerseys of nearly all the players, not just Altuve's, Alex Bregman's, and Yordan Alvarez's. Also, no sales tax. You pay the exact price.

      I'd love to return soon.

Astro-logically speaking this is one of the best teams out there, but the store is definitely overpriced by any stretch of the imagination.

Considering Houston is the 4th city of America, a huge market and one which likes sports as much as the next town (to some degree), it doesn't have a marquee team that everyone here loves. The Astros have, more than any other, emerged as that team. They're very beloved by the Latin community because of people like Altuve, and because of bringing championships to Houston, a city that needs and deserves them more than most.

So yes, the Astros are a very good baseball team which represent the city of Houston better than any of the other teams, although the Rockets are a close second, in terms of putting things on the shelves of the trophy cabinet, and in representing the Latin community, which makes up more than half of Houston's population, and this is probably why you see more of these shirts around than any other team. The Rockets are kinda good and kind of popular, and manage to bring the odd big name to town which is great, and the Texans are just a major disappointment despite having the marquee stand up guy (JJ Watt) on the team for so long. Now we're going to see if they can step out of his enormous shadow. But regardless, the Texans aren't fanatically followed, and honestly that's what happens if you put a major NFL franchise, which is a sport mainly followed by some demographics, in a town that is not famous for those demographics. Houston should continue investing in the Dynamo, the Rockets, and especially the Astros since they're already by far the most beloved team in town.

Went in looking for a specific Jersey and the lady who was working there had a Nasty attitude towards me all the way until I checked out. Stuff is over too over priced as well . If you are looking to buy a Jersey I recommend Dicks Sporting goods they have a good selection, more affordable prices, and way better customer service.

I went in with my friend to buy the same jacket that was worn by Kate Upton. My friend works for the Astros on game night and the cashier JEANETTE was HORRIBLE to him and I. She had the NASTIEST ATTITUDE. He wanted to use his badge to get the employee discount and she looked at him with disgust and said that she believed that his department got their new badges already and wasn't going to accept his old one. He told her his department had not done so yet and mentioned that maybe she was confusing it with other departments. She looked soooo mad and disgusted with him. She rolled her eyes and said "fine" and allowed him to use his discount. Making him feel like he should feel so lucky that she allowed him to use it. When I took his card out if my wallet to swipe for him she practically yelled "NO HE HAS TO DO IT NOT YOU". I then handed him his card. This created for such an unwelcoming environment. The Astros store should be a place of joy and excitement as you surround yourself by their team merchandise and remember all of the fun games and times that have been spent watching them. They need to hire friendlier people.

The store was well stocked and the staff was helpful. Needed a Bergman Jersey in a hurry so I called ahead and it was ready when I arrived. Also it was my first time passing through Union Station and that's a pretty neat place too

Gets a little too crowded around game time, so loitering around one item will pester others. What they have is amazing!

Convenient if you're looking for instant gratification in terms of your team gear. Overpriced, for sure. You can definitely find a better selection and get more bang for your buck by ordering online. After buying a jersey in store and paying an additional $90 for the jersey to be customized, I was told it would be ready for pickup the next day. I was clear when I was said I wanted it for opening day and was promised it would be ready. I just called after not hearing from them Saturday like I was told and they informed me the jersey won't be ready until tomorrow morning. If I performed my job in this fashion, I'd be fired for sure. I'm highly disappointed in the shop and would like nothing more than to cancel my order and never purchase anything from them again. Do yourself a favor, and hit up Amazon or Academy before you come here.
