Mr Brady, the GM, reached out to my father and I and rectified the situation. He was great and comes to show that there really are still good people out there.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 4, 2023Previous reviewOn May 4th, 2023 between the time of 5:10pm and 5:20pm, one of the concession stand employees was beyond rude. There is no way to describe how unethical this kid was. The boy had just finished setting down a large coke for my father to grab. When my father reached for it, the lid popped off and the coke spilled all over the counter and floor. Irked by the situation, my father told the boy that he did not close the lid properly. At this point, a simple "I'm sorry, sir, let me get you a knew one" should have sufficed. Instead, the boy belligerently told my father it was his fault and that he grabbed it wrong. This upset my father and caused him to tell the boy not to argue and that again it was his fault. The boy proceeded to mouth off causing my father to say the boy was being "a punk", which was by far the tamest thing that could have been said. The boy then said aloud "what did you say" and my father retorted with "you heard me" at which point the boy loudly called my father "a little bitch". He repeated that term multiple times and became hostile. Not a single employee told this little boy to calm down. The so-called managers on duty had him step to the back for lord knows what reason. My father demanded to speak to a manager as well as demanded the number to corporate. Not a single "manager" that was working came to acknowledge the situation. Not a single apology was given for the gratuitous interaction that took place within those 10 minutes. My father already spoke to corporate on the matter, but corporate shouldn't have been necessary. Local management could have handled that situation much better. In the 23 years that I have been attending this theater, not a single thing like that has ever occurred. It's disgusting and horrible representation of what good customer service should be.

I went to see Black Widow last night. It was the first theater experience Ive had since the lockdown. I was very impressed with their cleaning protocols. Mask are optional but just about everyone I saw was wearing them when not in their seats. You can pick your seating online or at the ticket booth so that helps with social distancing according to your comfort level. Best of all was the burgers. Not sure who's managing the food now but they are doing a good job. The entire staff in the theater were very friendly and they made my families experience in returning back to normal very pleasant. Also the movie was great!

So after watching this remarkable opera for three hours at $22 a ticket while it was being broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera , Cinemark ended the showing about 10 minutes before the end and began ushering parents and kids into the theater for Venom. Not helping were the four senior citizens who had wandered out of the home and really didn't even know where they were. I had to take them to the restrooms and help them find their seats. The manager seemed unaware they were even showing an opera. Streaming is the way to go.

I went to this theater a week ago. It was not ready for COVID. Masks were not required inside the theater and children were running around like it was a playground unmasked. They even came close to me where I was sitting. I was very uncomfortable and couldn't concentrate on the movie.

Overall great movie theatre experience! They have a wide selection of food to choose from; their seats are large and incredibly comfortable (they lean!). It does get really cold in the theatres, so you may want to bring a jacket. And beware that they really blast the sound during the movies. So if you're particularly sensitive to noise, you may want to find a way to dampen your ears a bit.

The Cinemark In Harlingen has the best concession food in all the RGV. I visit the movies often and like the quickness of the service here. This is a normal theater where everything is overpriced. I have held my son's birthday party here every year. I rent out an entire theater. The staff is fantastic. They take care of our needs quickly.

Early bird show times and Tuesday's provide cheaper movie ticket prices at Cinemark, usually about $5.75. There is an XD theater that has amazingly comfy seats and the best sound quality for your movie, about $12.00 a ticket last time I saw a movie in there. You can purchase tickets online and don't have to wait in line when u arrive at the theater - just get scanned in. A basic digital ticket costs about $10.00 per person. These prices are not set and are always changing depending time and day. You can now purchase alcoholic beverages and enjoy while watching your movie. They check for valid ID of course. Make sure if your watching a newly released movie you get there early because seats fill up fast!!!

My dad and I came to a movie and I thought, why not go in and sit in the hall bench where it is quieter. Nope, the child at the entrance says "we can't let you in early. We need time to clean the theater." I explained we would wait in the hall on a bench. Nope! Wow. Really, like my dad and I would sneak into another show like some punk kids.
