Picked up LaRosa's pizza for supper for the grand kids. It's typical uninteresting Dayton mediocre pizza. How does this even sell - crust is made with the wrong flour, sauce is bland, couldn't taste the pepperoni.

Each grand kid has one piece and they were done.

I don't see a reason to buy this.

The box, best part of the pizza.
      Pepperoni pizza. Nope.

Good pizza. Great customer service, fast delivery and friendly driver.
Order double pepperoni and I was impressed. Crust was perfect, tons of pepperoni and it was cooked to perfection. Great sauce and cheeses to round out an awesome experience. Definitely would order from here again!!

      Double pepperoni.

LaRosa's has been a favorite for my family for many years. However, our recent visit lack a lot of quality. At 8pm on a Friday night, the restaurant was virtually empty. I ordered the combination of Lasagna and Ziti Chicken Alfredo. The lasagna was ok, but not their best efforts. The Ziti came in a soup bowl, with pasta and chicken with a thin soupy sauce dumped on it. Needless to say this was very unappetizing and bland. My wife that her usual, the steak sandwich, which had no garnish or chips with it as is their usual. She stated it was obviously microwaved and not very good. I did have a salad, and it was good as usual. Their soft drink machine was not working, as the drinks were flat.

Their pizza has always been a favorite, but take it and go. The in house offerings scream of thaw and serve, and do not live up to their expected quality. Very disappointing for a favorite place.

4 Star Review UPDATE: The customer service I received from the management/corporate team was outstanding after I wrote the original review (found below). I felt like my concerns were addressed quickly and appropriately. I am a happy customer who will definitely return to the LaRosa's brand the next time I'm in Ohio.

2 Star Review: Ordered a yuengling... out, ordered a bud light... out, ordered an Irish stout... out. Our server, bless her heart, was a hot mess trying to serve our party of 14. She was sweating profusely and overwhelmed. The tables around us remained unbussed for over an hour and when they were finally taken care of it was by an associate dragging a nasty trash can out to the dining area and cleaning off the dishes right there in front of guests. I will say, everyone was very, very nice but it seemed like they didn't notice that everything was a disaster. Made me feel like it was a normal work environment for them, which was sad. I would give them one star, but everyone was so nice, they get two.

I got into town late on a Sunday evening and after driving down from Detroit, just didn't want to get back in the car to go to Marion's Pizza (which didn't deliver to my hotel). I asked the front desk agent who delivered to the hotel and she gave me a stack of menus. I chose LaRosa's and after ordering, was a little disappointed to hear my order for a medium pizza was going to take 50 minutes on a Sunday evening, but said OK.

The pizza actually made it in about 25 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. I opened the box and was a little suspect as the crust looked mass produced and I couldn't see any of the pepperoni and sausage I had ordered. It tasted about how it looked and I ended up eating two pieces and just scraping the cheese, sauce and toppings off the rest of the pie and leaving the crust.

I know LaRosa's is a chain and they probably have a large, happy following. Maybe take out / delivery is not their thing and their in house food is much better. If ever back in the area and needing pizza, I'd probably opt for Marion's or try someplace different.

We are here on an out of town excursion and really have no idea where to eat. Good, typical pizza place, had a large room that would be fun for a group and the pizza was pretty good. The only thing I could say about the service was that it took time to clean the table, although my table was previewed. (I am probably speaking more from a manager standpoint than a normal consumer.)

Food was good, service was good. We will stop on our way through again.

A decent stop on 70 for lunch. Had soup / sub -- both very good and service good as well.

While most of 70 is chains and such, this was a nice surprise.

I would encourage anyone ordering pizza in the Dayton area to try Marions or The Flying Pizza. I don't understand the popularity of this chain out of Cincy. To me their pizza crust tastes like wonder bread. Bland bland bland. This is not the place for pizza lovers.

The lunch specials are good and filling. I can say that most of the food we have eaten here has been good.

Here is the thing. If we want pizza there is another place that is our favorite. If we want Italian this is fair not extraordinary.

If you want to please a variety of tastes this is a good place to come. But if you are looking for the best of any one thing this is not the place.
