Main Avenue Galleria

Had a great watercolor session with Gina on Tuesday.
I've been taking lessons from her for the past 6 months.
I've learned so much and really enjoy the classes with her.
She really gives a lot of encouragement to her students!

I have found the Main Avenue Galleria to be the most welcoming, nurturing spot for me as a new artist, albeit I am a retiree. Norma Tolliver offers a myriad of classes each week that are perfect for beginners to advanced artists of all ages and skill levels. The prices for the classes are quite reasonable since students receive so much personal attention. I have taken classes in watercolors, using colored pencils, jewelry making (earrings and necklaces), and I am now totally involved in my painting with acrylics classes. Gina Cannone is the most talented artist and has truly taught me so much in the varied workshops I have taken (waves, clouds, lake series, flowers, birds, etc.), in addition to the open media classes where students can work in any medium on their own projects. Gina is honest and fair in her assessments of her students' work, while teaching us techniques to improve our skills. The love of art is overwhelming in the classes, as is the feeling of camaraderie with my fellow students. I am learning so much in my classes with Gina, and it shows in the quality of my paintings. I highly recommend the Main Avenue Galleria and all of its classes to anyone who truly enjoys creating beautiful works of art.

Main Ave Galleria is an Art gallery and art studio in quaint sleepy sweet Ocean Grove. They feature original artwork from over 50 local/East Coast artists. They also offer art classes in drawing, acrylics and oil painting

The owner and teacher, Norma Tolliver, is a well-known artist in her own right. She is an excellent enthusiastic teacher and the classes are fun and informative. They offer classes in the evenings, on the weekends and occasionally during the week.

I have taken her acrylic painting class and it was wonderful. I have also and am currently taking her drawing class which I live. She occasionally has guest teachers for special classes.

If you are a a budding artist or just love the arts this is the place for you!

I always enjoy trying all types of art and stumbled across Main Avenue Galleria in 2013. I could not believe there was such a place that existed that offered art courses as well as beautiful handmade pieces of artwork and jewelry by various artists. I took a variety of classes and brought many friends and even coworkers here over the years. Norma, the owner, is so talented and her artwork is stunning. She continues to amaze me with the paintings she does. She also has talented artists that conduct courses. If it is a hot day in the summer I enjoy the evening classes and in the dead of winter I look forward to the daytime classes where I can do watercolor, acrylic, sketching and so many other choices. My husband who is a sports fanatic has even done a painting or two with me. I highly recommend Main Avenue Galleria and plan to take many more classes in the future :)
