Amazing food, service, and ambiance.

We commented in passing that the poke was a tad spicy (fyi, it's really not. My sister just can't handle spicy food at all). The waitress ended up surprising us with another bowl without the spiciness for free! We had even already finished half of the previous bowl. Hawaiian Pizza was crisp and delicious as well.

This is by far the best restaurant in Princeville. First of all, the service is impeccable. Everyone goes above and beyond at The Sandbox. Their pizza is the best. The man who makes them all day is really awesome. He's so nice, he even took a beautiful picture of us at sunset from his outdoor kitchen. And of course, the view is to die for. We went there twice while we stayed at The 1 Hotel which by the way is 5 stars all the way. We ordered pizzas both times. And one night, the chef made an incredible grilled shrimp salad special. All in all, I give it 10 stars.

I'm visiting here In Kauai with my sister to celebrate her 71st bday. We told Alya ( sp?) our server it was her bday. She got permission to comp part of our meal. What a treat. Food was great! She recommended the pizza of the day: pesto pizza with Huli huli chicken and I got the chopped salad. Was awesome. She recommended the most expensive cocktail specialty cocktail which I got and loved. My sis loved her Mai Tai. Then the brownies with coffee ice cream. Heaven. The best part besides the views and food? Alya our server. The best energy!!!

North Shore Flatbread - done as a pizza, extra crispy, with whole shrimps - TOP 3 pizza.

Fabulous beach, excellent bartenders, and amazing views. The shrimp flatbread was stupendous. The shrimp tasted fresh on both the flatbread and the tacos. The drinks were not watered down like they are in so many other places. Will definitely return!

Located at the 1Hotel Hanalei pool area, great place to grab a beverage and lunch. Service is excellent. Fresh farm to table ingredients makes fir a quality meal. We tried several poolside libations and the mahi street tacos. All worthy. There's a pizza oven and shaved ice -we'll try that next!!

This is legit napoletana style pizza. One of the best ovens I've seen and they're using guava wood to fire the oven. It smells slightly sweeter than oak but still a neutral hard wood. Chef Robert does great work and is approachable to chat about making pizza. Oh, by the way, Hawaiian jalapeños are hot, very hot.

One of the best burgers we've had. The 1 Burger is a must try! The Sandbox is the outside dining area next to the pool located inside The 1 Hotel. Food and drinks were bomb. Scenery was nice. Very casual pool vibe ambiance.

Excellent service with very professional waitstaff. The drinks were absolutely delicious and the surroundings were lovely. Food was a miss and I would likely not return except for a drink, but you could do worse in Kauai. Tucked back from the ocean so have more of a pool view than ocean view. Very pricey but completely expected as it's located in a very pricey hotel. If you're not staying here, the only options for parking are valet and its kind of a pain to get down here from the valet (ie multiple elevators and not clear signage indicating where to go). The drinks, however, were some of the best we had on Kauai.

Get the spicy poke. Great food and service. The pizza tastes like it's from Naples. Nice clean hotel
