My husband and I came in a few weeks ago looking for new bedroom furniture for the house we just moved into. Vince was not only super helpful but also very knowledgeable about all of the different brands and it helped us when choosing which set to go with. We didn't decide that day, but Vince was kind enough to give us his personal contact info so that when we came by the next day, he was ready to help us again. We even decided to get a mattress! Delivery guys were very efficient and nice as well! We highly recommend the professional service at Powell's and can't say enough great things about Vince!

A year ago bought a couch and paid it off with Wells Fargo which is who they use to finance furniture. Have a large credit limit with WF so I went in to price a bed. Well, it was as if I didn't have the WF acct at all. Told I had to put down 20% plus the delivery charge and taxes - not using the WF card but out of pocket.
The first experience waiting 2 months for a delivery wasn't bad enough, now this whole brand new customer treatment all over again. Thanks but no thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere. Ridiculous in this economy that businesses operate like this. So afraid someone will cancel on them. Just insane. Out the door walked over $2K plus the salesperson got offended that I dare question this.

So. We have spent close to $15000 in the past 4 years here. My husband seems to be satisfied but I am not. Our first trip in 2018 we purchased a bedroom set, office furniture for hubby's office and two leather chairs for our living room. I believe during delivery the guys broke a board on our bedroom set that I didn't notice until 3 months later. We are gentle on our furniture, there's no way we could have done this.
Next. Our red leather chairs that sit in our dining room. The leather smears right off when they touch the walls (they spin). The leather is so thin and cheap; its not made to last a long time. Last, our bedside tables wood just flakes off if you touch it with your fingernail. Cheap quality for top price. Do not go here. We recently bought a reclining sectional. Upon arriving to the store, we were greeted by Vince. Vince was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the different options that were options for our living room. He was patient and didn't push us to buy anything. Vince was very accommodating, allowing me to take pillows and try to recreate my style with the different sectional options. The sectional is very comfortable and a great fit for our living room. We would recommend Powell's and we plan to purchase our next furniture needs at Powell's.

Originally, I liked both furniture pieces as I thought that the color and function would be a nice addition to my home.
After having the sofa and recliner for about two weeks, I noticed that the craftsmanship was poor as well as the coloring which looks dirty. This sofa and recliner set looks like it was previously used. I called Powell's Furniture to ask about the return policy. I was told that I can't not return the furniture and that they will send someone out to look at my concerns.

They will bad mouth other stores, and then do the same thing. I was told on 2 separate occasions that I'd get a call back on our order, that is paid in full. And never did. Went in person once and still, empty promises on a call back. FINALLY the salesman told us it wasn't coming in so we had the option for a full refund or store credit. We chose refund and did get it back in full. But, knowing he had lost our business, our salesman, Alex, was sarcastic on the phone with my husband. Totally unprofessional and petty! We would have continued being a customer for other items, but not after this terrible customer service. No need to call us back now. Thanks.

Customer service is the worst!!!! Multiple phone calls before receiving a return call and very rude. So much for supporting local businesses. So disappointed in management's treatment. Explanation for irregular couch was a lesson in tiers of furniture quality.. Buy top tier and expect a good product and service. Buy lower tier brands and expect imperfection and be happy with it.

On July 24, 2021, I purchased a leather sofa and loveseat from Powell's. On October 12, 2021, the items were delivered. Unfortunately, within several days, I noticed many flaws in the sofa and loveseat's construction and operation.
I spoke with the Sales Manager, who was also our salesman,- and explained the deficiencies found in the furniture. I requested an exchange and was told that the sales contract calls for an attempt to repair the products before replacing them. On November 5, 2021, Powell's repair technician prepared a service report detailing our complaints.
On December 8, 2021, the repair technician worked for 5 1/2 hours to repair new furniture! Within 2-weeks, the repairs showed signs of deterioration. Once again, I called and was promised that the needed part(s) would be ordered and received within 2-weeks. Yet, two weeks later, nothing had been done.
I then called the manufacturer and asked if they had a record of the needed part being ordered by Powell's. The customer service manager said they could not find an order submitted by Powell's for the needed part. The service manager offered to send the part to my home immediately. Four days later, I had my part.
I called Powell's sales manager and let him know the part had been received, and I needed to schedule the repair technician for installation. I was told that repairs could not be made unless the part is received by Powell's first. At this time, February 4, 2021, Powell's breached its sales contract and has ignored the manufacturer's warranty. Is this the conduct of an A+ rating by the BBB?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 27, 2021Previous reviewMy wife and I have been looking for a comfortable leather recliner sofa/love seat combo to replace our aging set. As we entered Powell's, Alex Wilson, the Sales Manager, greeted us. Once we told Alex what we were looking for, he directed us to a great sampling of the selections they had on display that met our description. Then Alex disappeared! He left us to browse leisurely without being chaperoned through the store. Alex reappeared a short while later to answer any questions we may have had. We had questions galore! Once our questions were responded to, we made our selections and now await the arrival of our new sofa and love seat. Powell's selection, cleanliness, and open environment earned it 5-Stars. In addition, Alex rated another 5-Stars on his own. We actually enjoyed the time spent making our purchase. Thanks, Alex!
