I will echo the review of Kristin S., especially regarding their communication or jaw dropping lack there of, including their ever changing hours and "closing in 15 minutes" routine. Our Yorkie Poo was groomed on a Monday, and when I got the call he was ready and they were closing in 15 minutes, I raced to pick him up. When I dropped him off, I had double checked that he was a small dog because the price had gone up significantly, and was told he was, and the price would be $65.00 if paid in cash, but $70.00 if not. So I went to an ATM to get cash for when I picked him up. When I arrived for pick up, I was then told it would be $75.00 because it was determined he was a medium size dog. Of course I was not at all happy about that since I had confirmed the small dog price before leaving him. I only had $80.00 that I had just taken from the ATM, and he claimed that they had no cash to give change. Now, this is a place that encourages paying by cash, yet they cannot make change. Ridiculous. More about the price, because he had just had his nails trimmed at the vet, I had previously asked if there was a discount since that was included in the price, and was told there is no discount. So, not only did they not have to do as much work, and I was given no allowance for that, but then the price was $10.00 MORE! Double ridiculous and bad business. They owe me at least $5.00, but actually $15.00 for the bate and switch price. Beginning the next day, I made several attempts to call the owner and left several messages and sent a text for her to call me. It is now 4 days later, and still no call or text from her. So, in addition to this review, I will be opening up a case with the BBB.

I am so confused by this place. Let me start by saying my first experience was positive...or should I say pawsitive. They were one of the few places that could trim my labradoodle and not make him look goofy, for a really good price. Knowing this, I continued to attempt to book here. However, a couple things of note. 1. They literally never answer their phone. I'm a millennial and hate answering the phone, this place puts me to shame! 2. They rarely call back. On more than one occasion I have had to go somewhere else because they literally will not call you back. 3. I have zero idea their hours. I was in the process of scheduling an appointment via the phone and knowing they would not call back I stated (or should I say pled) I am available all week please call me back and I will be there whenever you are available. Finally, at 8:50 PM on a Friday night, they called back and said Wednesday at 8:45 drop off your dog. This was in response to my Tuesday at 10am phone call the prior week. So I did; I have to admit I didn't entirely expect them to be there. It all felt very weird. They did not give me an expected pick up time and instead called me at 1:15 and said not only my dog was ready for pickup BUT that they would be closing at FIFTEEN minutes. Explain that to me. So here I am waking a two year old from nap time and loading four months old twins at nascar pit stop worthy speed hoping I don't inconvenience the groomer or somehow my dog ends up doing an overnight spa experience. Every moms worst nightmare waking a two year old who just settled at nap time because this place is closing in fifteen minutes. (I write this review currently with a napless two year old falling apart as a result of this wildness.)

Again they do a good job. They're no longer the good deal that they were and are matched to price just about anyone around. Because of this, it is not worth the trade off involved in a lower price. In the future, I will seek out a more professional establishment.

Won't go again. Had to return because my dog was not trimmed around his neck and ears. Today, one week after grooming, I trimmed his nails which were starting to curl they are so long. A nail trim was included. Just because I didn't opt for the upgrade of nail grinding, doesn't mean the nails shouldn't be trimmed properly. With a tip, this cost me over ten dollars a pound for my small dog who is very quiet and complacent.

Missy does such a great job with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They're pretty laid back dogs and she's so complimentary of them whenever we come. I often contact her the night before or a few hours before to create an appointment and she can always squeeze them in. Their cuts look great and they smell great for days! She offers several different packages and services à la carte.

Super friendly! They do everything they can to make sure dogs feel comfortable while at the same time making sure everyone is safe. Facilities are clean and fresh looking. They do drop ins for nail clipping which is always nice, just call first to make sure they are open and have the time!

Super love Barks and Bubbles especially Missy!!! She took good care of our 2 boys!!

Gizmo and Tsotso get very nervous and anxious when we bring them to the groomers and are usually shaking profusely when we pick them up! Not this time!!

We Really appreciate the work they did and how well groomed my puppies are!! Super cute!!!!

So excited to have found this place and will definitely come back!

.Missy is such a beautiful loving spirit & my elderly Labrador Retriever just absolutely adored her.

My Desperado call at the last minute looking for boarding was met w/ such kind generosity & Missy took Mira into her home, so I could go on my 1st NC beach vacation in several years.

Mira was bathed without me even asking...as I "forgot" with trying to get my act together at the last minute

All I can say is God was smiling on me to bring such a caring woman to my aid as I hadn't been apart from my dog since some trauma occurred nearly 2 years ago, where Mira protected me from a gang of guys in a parking lot.

Thank you Missy & Barks & Bubbles, you my dear, are an angel & have found your TRUE calling.

We have our second golden retriever that is getting beautified at Barks and Bubbles. Missy is such a huge animal lover! She takes great care of Bella and Bella loves going! The place is clean and I pick up my baby who is beautifully groomed and happy!

I have been taking my dogs to Barks-N-Bubbles for years! Missy is wonderful with my dogs and is a truly sweet loving person, for animals and people! Her prices are fair and her services for dogs is awesome!!

I Made an appointment for Saturday at 2:30 for my puppy to get groomed. I showed up promptly at 2:20. When I got there the door was locked and no one was answering the phone. I waited for another 25 minutes thinking maybe they were at lunch. Yet, no one showed. I called three times then left a voicemail and no one has called me back to explain or apologize. Very unprofessional!!! Needless to say, I will not be back! This was so disappointing, as I love supporting small, local businesses.
