Supreme Water Treatment

I don't normally post on Yelp much, but the awful experience I dealt with from this company encouraged me to do so. Thank you for reading this review. I strongly encourage anyone who is looking at this to avoid patronizing this business as they are not reputable, they don't provide good service, and they offered no monetary compensation for the trouble they caused me. If this review convinces one person to avoid this place, it will have been worth my time. The long version starts on the next paragraph while the short version is at the bottom.

The long version: two weeks ago my water softener broke, so I looked up local companies to get it fixed. This place had good reviews, so I gave them a call. It was Friday afternoon so they couldn't get to me until Monday. Fair enough, I understand places can be busy.

Monday comes and the guy comes to my place. He smells like vaping products or something and he leaves my house filthy after he was there, which should been the first red flag. He was able to identify what was wrong with my water softener though (rusted out parts due to water leaking there) so I decided to give him a chance and had them install a new water softener through them.

The next day, they install a new water softener. Once again they make a mess of my house. They seem to have done good work though, so I paid them and they went on their way. Unfortunately, that was my next mistake as later that day my water became salty. Now, my water had always been of good quality with my previous water softener. The local water is high in iron, so it was a nice device to have. This new water softener just made my problem worse!

I called them and they suggest running the regeneration cycle on the softener then to use all the water in my water tank. This did nothing except waste 1,200 gallons of water and increase my water bill. I called them and when the guy came out there, he said that they should have only had me go through the rinse cycle but their other guy said to run the whole regeneration cycle for some reason. On Friday the guy then adjusts the water softener more, runs the rinse cycle a few times, and tests the water. He also says that having salty water isn't a big deal, trying to minimize the stress I've been through. The water by the softener still seemed salty to me, but he told me to run through the hot water and call back on Monday.
I did so and the water was still salty. At that point I had a busy day, so I couldn't call them until Tuesday. They didn't call me back until Thursday morning. Then they made an appointment with me for Friday. All the guy does is adjust the softener again to lower the amount of salt going into it and loads a few bags of salt into the softener.

At that point I asked about a refund if that didn't work (because it was likely at this point it wouldn't). He said the softener was doing what it was supposed to be doing, so that probably wouldn't happen. I said that water softeners aren't supposed to make water taste salty and my previous water softener didn't have these problems. He basically repeated himself, saying that the softener was doing what it was supposed to do and these faults were due to the quality of the water. If the water is to blame, they should have installed a different product or tested the water beforehand to avoid this problem.

I ran my water again and I wasn't surprised to find out that my water was still salty. At this point I'm tired of dealing with these incompetent people so I'm just going to use my regular iron water. Now I'm out a ton of money and I have nothing to show for it except a bunch of salt all over my house and stress from having to deal with the fallout of their shoddy work.

The short version:

-These people make your house dirty every time they come to do work
-They installed a water softener that made my water salty when I never had that issue before
-Their "fixes" did nothing to solve the problem and they refuse to give me a refund
Please, if you need a water softener or have any issues with your water, do not use this company. You will save so much time, stress and money.
