If I could give my sales associate Robert 6 stars and a new friendship I would. I made an appointment at this location online, because I was considering upgrading one of my phones. Robert was standing by the door waiting for me with a smile. He immediately greeted me and walked me over to one of their tables. I will say this store is clean, the music is appropriate and at the right volume. Robert explained everything to me in detail and in a manner that was very clear. I'm getting older...new technology is confusing at times. His personality is radiant and he is genuine. I walked out of there with an iPad Pro and two phones. Lol I am very happy with my purchase. I had an issue on my end after I left. My bank flagged my purchase as fraud...of course...I bought 3 devices lol. I cleared it with the bank. I didn't know this put a snag in my shipping.
I figured it seemed simple enough issue and I would fix this online. Nope...the link they gave didn't allow me to clear the issue. I called AT&T, the phone specialist gave me another number to call. It was a restaurant in California. Weird huh? Ok...I figured...I would try the chat feature on their website. The rep in the chat gave me a disconnected number to call. I was thinking...why is this so hard? I want to give them more money I finally got a new number to call that worked and I sat there waiting for 20 mins. I had things to do, people to see lol So I thought maybe I'll take a chance at the store. So I booked another appointment. Guess who was standing by the door waiting for me? Yep, Robert! Robert fixed my issue in less than 3 mins. I stayed in the store talking to him for another 10 about their services. I was bummed when other customers came in and he had to help them. Now, I want to go back and buy more accessories.
Skip the online feature. Just go to this store. It is worth your time. AT&T, get Robert to revamp your online support. He could teach them a thing or two.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bonnie M.Greensboro, NC07Aug 24, 2022
I had a very complicated problem being locked out of my iphone. Mike spent almost 30 minutes helping me. I will definitely return to this location.

Had a rather complicated issue of switching from prepaid to postpaid wireless service which was unsuccessfully attempted at other locations several times in the past. I was assisted by Gregg who quickly attained rock star status. Gregg knew how to accomplish the task and did so effectively and efficiently. Gregg succeeded when many before him either gave up or failed. Well done Gregg! Make him a manager

On Monday December 23,2019 I went into an AT&T store located at 664 West Bankhead Hwy
Suite C
Villa Rica, GA 30180 around I believe 8:30 pm to pay my phone bill the young lady ran my card for $163.64 then somehow accidentally kicked the plug out which shut off the computer. According to her because of this accident my payment did not go through. She then ask to run my card again, no problem. As I'm walking out of the store expressing Christmas greetings she calls me back. "Sir, your card didn't go through. My system is not acting right for some reason."
Now, she runs my card again for the third time to no avail. I said "no worries I'll just pay over the phone through the automated system" which I did. My payment was successful and life goes on. Until I go to use my card and find out that my account is now in the red for $163.64. Immediately I contact AT&T because the store was now closed. AT&T tells me that they don't see the payment. I contact my Bank they say all three payments are processing. I'm looking at the three payments via my banks app.
Now I'm worried because I have no money and no access to the money I had earn via driving for a ride share company because any deposit will be eaten by the now overdraft due to my card being ran multiple times. December 24,2019. Around 8am I start calling AT&T hoping that I can get things all worked out via a solution. At one point I was on a three way call with my back and AT&T while sitting in front of the store where things all went horribly wrong. The manager that I was connected to name is Leno. I told him the situation then suggested that they refund my payment that they could see because didn't see the other 2 that put me in this horrible spot.
That would bring my bank account to good standings which would allow me to get money into my account. Then I said I can pay the $163.64 right back and we would be done. He then proceeded to tell me that
Getting that refund would turn off my phone and it would take up to 24hrs or three days for me to even get that return payment. I ask him straight out "so yes or no I will have no money for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2019 due to errors made by and through AT&T employees and systems? Yes or no sir?" His response "I cannot answer that question."
I went back and forth with a few other reps after this call. Hoping that someone could come up with a solution. Nothing.
I find it quite interesting that I can give AT&T a payment and they get it within seconds but if I need a refund from such payment it will take days.
Then it shocked me that after all that I went through AT&T didn't even try appeasement by saying hey, we see you had a experience that's below AT&T standards so we'll credit your account or give you this or give you that for your trouble. I even ask that they refund my payment and take the hit for the $163.64. Their response...."No, we can't do that." I believe they just didn't want to. They didn't in my opinion go the extra mile and try to fix this situation. Friday December 27,2019. That's when my account was updated and the charges fell off. But the damage was done. Because o AT&T Christmas 2019 was literally a Nightmare Before Christmas!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erin C.High Point, NC865729Jul 28, 2010First to Review
Came here the day that iPhone 4s were available for purchase with AT&T and these guys did an excellent job. There were horror stories about Apple letting their customers wait in line to only be told hours later that they were out of iPhones, and it was not the case here. As soon as the store opened at 7:00 am someone came out and told us the deal.
Once inside, the sales associate helping us was very helpful and understanding.
This store was great to us new customers who had never had an experience with AT&T.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren N.Yadkinville, NC661Jun 7, 2019
Darius!!! He is an amazing person and has a great personality. My phone was frozen and I couldn't get it to work. I tried everything. I drove from Winston-Salem AT&T to Greensboro because they told me they couldn't do anything for me and that I needed to get a new phone at the Apple Store, no appointment needed. I went to the Apple Store, they didn't help me at all because I didn't make an appointment. I went to Best Buy, they also told me the same thing. Finally, I went to this AT&T store and Darius was very nice, friendly and actually helped me! He didn't make me feel dumb, explained everything to me and then showed me how to reset my phone. No one anywhere else gave me the time of day. Ask for Darius next time you visit this store! He is AWESOME!

Before reading about AT&T it's worth a minute to see a short, funny video of how the industry works: /www.upworthy.com/the-most-honest-cable-company-in-the-world-has-a-message-for-you-a-really-jerky?c=ufb1
So after one year with AT&T MY BILL HAS DOUBLED, from ~$97 to $180. I was kept on hold so long trying to find better options, such as dropping my service level, that my phone's battery (on 15% at the start of the runaround) turned off the phone, exhausted. I'll have to let the phone charge and phone again, which with waiting, holds and transfers will take at least another hour.
They can offer me some pathetic discounts, especially if I reduce broadband speed, which I won't do because I intend to increasing use Netflix and similar services - and I highly recommend you do too.
We also have cellphones with AT&T - that's another $150.
Oh, and you can no longer communicate with them using the online chat method. I suppose they deemed it too convenient for customers. They'd rather make you listen to appalling music while you wait, interspersed with pandering messages.
These guys are a prime example of the free market NOT WORKING.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 9, 2013Previous reviewUpdate:
AT&T say "Think Possible". I did. I was wrong. It's not possible. I've cancelled my account because after a month of technicians visiting twice a week they still couldn't make it work.
Think Possible, Discover Impossible.
So it's back to TWC, another odious company, but hopefully their system works. It's far more expensive, but maybe it works, a minimum requirement for me. Their Retention Dept. offered me $10 off per month, but that's no good if the darn thing DOESN'T WORK.

What's wonderful about AT&T is the opportunity to meet new people. I've met so many of their technicians and support staff, in person, on the phone and online that I'm expecting to be invited to their Christmas party.
And what a party it will be, since they're raking in the cash.
Unfortunately, if you contacted AT&T for another reason, such as...oh, wanting a reliable broadband service to your home, you've made a poor choice. Alas, given the cartels with which we live, unfortunately I can't recommend a better choice - Time Warner also suck.
When I switched my service from Time Warner to AT&T, the difference in the monthly bill is less than $3. Hallelujah, it's a miracle! An amazing coincidence. The illusion of choice and competition continues.
Oh, for Google Fiber, or some other real competitor to keep the incumbents honest. - Dooer G.Greensboro, NC1701Dec 27, 2017
After our fiasco at the Verizon Wireless store on New Garden Rd, we decided to go to AT and T store in Wendover Ave: we were helped by a person called 'Shy': truly a great experience. He was very personal and treated us more than just a number. He gave me an experience better than even the tier 1 ATT store in Friendly Ctr (where the reps are neutral). Very glad we were able to purchase our iPhone Xes here. ATT and others should clone him and also the great female phone rep over the phone and utilize them to replace the bad apples (wishful thinking of course :) ).

Worst AT&T store. The customer service is awful. I've been to this store many times because it is the closest to my house but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who is looking to do anything besides buy a charger or a case. There are always atleast 4 workers that are standing in a circle talking. When you walk in nobody greets you nor ask you if you need any help. You have to make eye contact for them to leave their conversation with the other workers to come over, ask you what's wrong, and put you on the phone with customer service. They will at least dial the number for you but that's about it. They won't check up on you either during your time in the store. Now I hate it when people are over bearing in the stores just as much as the next person but it's a bit frustrating when you are constantly having to hunt somebody down and interrupt their conversation to get some assistance. Over all I would not suggest this store to anybody especially if they need a worker with knowledgeable customer service because they don't know the answer to any questions besides the price of a new phone.
