Laguna Veterinary Care

I love this veterinarian, she is so absolutely knowledgeable and answers every single question I have. I've had dogs in the past and I've taken them to different vets and I really want to make sure I get the best care for my dog. I have a five year old Frenchie I've been taking to Laguna for the past 2 1/2 years and I'm
absolutely thrilled with the care that he receives. I really can't say enough good things about this facility. I would highly recommend her!

I absolutely love my vet. She has been taking care of all my fur baby's. For the last 15 years. From the sad ones from having to put 3 of my baby's and the cards and the paw prints for there last moments they have always been sweet and caring the staff are also 10 stars they will always take care of the baby's until I don't have anymore or they close

I love this vet office so much, Dr. Hassan is super great. Always takes great care with my animals to make sure they are comfortable during the visit. Highly recommend!

I had to put my fur baby of 15 years down earlier this week and Dr. Hassan helped make this process as smooth and sensitive as possible. I am a nurse and just by nature like everything described in detail and she was sure to answer any questions I had. They put me in a nice, calming room with my dog and a couch and plenty of tissues. She gave me time to be with my pet and got a paw print done for me. Afterwards she found out that I had children so she also gave me this fantastic book by Fred Rogers, which might have even helped me more than my kids. ;) Dr. Hassan treats her patients with dignity and respect and I am thankful that this is where I got to hold my dog for the last time.

Side note- they do offer to take care of your animals remains, but I opted to take them to Oak Hills in Atascadero because it was cheaper and I could get the ashes back in a more timely manner.

I am a first-time pet owner, specifically a dog owner of a puppy named Milo. Dr. Hassan and her team have made the transition of learning to be so seamless for me. Dr. Hassan is the sweetest vet there is and I am so fortunate to have found her. The office operates as fear-free clinic, being very accomodating to my puppy's first-time vet fears. He was able to get all of his puppy shots and needs out of the way in the most efficient manner.

I have since moved away from San Luis Obispo, but if anyone is looking for an affordable and helpful vet. By all means, please visit Dr. Hassan for all your veterinary needs!

The Clinic is extremely good at keeping anxiety of pets and owners to an absolute minimum.

They work hard to avoid interactions between patients in lobby.

I recently had Dr. Molly McElrath at the clinic caring for my pet. She has earned 10 stars rating from me. My Cat absolutely hates Vet visits, but in this Doctor's care she actually purred and chirped several times to the Vet.

The Vet explains everything to me in easy to understand terms. She definitely has mastered Pet AND Owner care. Reducing my own anxieties.

Outside services (lab work, diagnostic screening) seems pricey but proved to be very helpful tools for the Vet to make accurate diagnosis.

I just wrote a thank you note to Dr. Hassan and her staff and realized that the heart of that note would be the best Yelp review I could give. They provided professional and loving care to our dear cat Buddy from Dr. Hassan's first home visit to her final visit to put him to rest two weeks ago. During every encounter Dr. Hassan demonstrated the knowledge of research relevant to Buddy's condition, the wisdom of experience, the empathy of a pet owner and the kindness and gentleness of a truly fine person. The staff has been efficient, warm, and sensitive to my emotional state during this last painful period of my 16-year life with Buddy.
Although I won't be ready for a while, I know we will get another pet. A house just isn't a home without a furry companion. When we do take that step, rest assured that Dr. Hassan will be our vet.

Dr. Hassan took excellent care of my kitty for 2 years. I especially recommend that you go here if you have a cat, because Dr. Hassan has cats and she knows what she's talking about! Reasonable pricing, and Dr. Hassan won't push any treatments or tests on you. The office staff are also very kind and helpful! I moved to New York City and can't find anything close to the standard of care we received at Laguna Vet...my cat and I miss Dr. Hassan!

My Doxie-Pin, Trudy was critically ill in June 2015. I took her to Dr. Hassan and she immediately began treatments. Initially, the doctor and I thought that Trudy had leukemia. The doctor boarded Trudy so that she would be under her constant care. At one point, the doctor consulted other professionals. Trudy's medication was changed and she continued to receive conscientious care from Dr. Hassan. As of June 2017, Trudy is the poster puppy of good health. She has been placed on the proper medications for her disabilities, she walks daily, and has lost weight due to better nutrition. In a nutshell, Trudy and I believe that Trudy regained her health because of Dr. Kholood Hassan. Thank you,thank you, thank you.

We wish we knew Dr. Hassan earlier. She came into our lives under sad circumstances when we were seeking a house call for our dog, since his health had quickly deteriorated. Given his size, we were unable to transport him to our regular vet.

Dr. Hassan came to our house, and we were put at ease by her compassion and tact. She was comforting as we grappled with the decision to put our dog down the following week.

Although putting a dog down is very sad, it could not have gone more smoothly. Dr. Hassan even brought my young daughter a book to read about the death of a pet.

Our dog's last moments were peaceful, and I could sense the sincerity of Dr. Hassan and her staff member as they expressed their condolences to us that night. It was a moving experience, and my husband and I were blown away by their care and professionalism. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough.
