Yes, I've written before but if you think you think your pup is just about the dearest, the smartest most loving creature you wouldn't trust some stranger to care for, Lucie's Palace is a one and a million find.
A full time retreat that is staffed with smart, professional dog lovers keenly
aware of each dog's personality, they bond with them , they know if something isn't right, or if your dog seems unhappy, because they all get special time with the staffers who truly love these animals and the doggies know it. Superb haircutting, fabulous bathes and special ones If your dog requires it. they're kept busy all day with a myriad of toys,water tables , they run around outside and you can watch all this on big screens that they have in their lobby. Large dogs have their own play areas son no worry the huge Bernese Mountain dog will sit on your precious 10 pound baby ..
I can't recommend Lucie's enough and folks, there really is a delightful Queen of the palace ! If you're looking for a home away from home for your family member, where nothing is too much to ask., a special diet , a little extra attention and where every single person knows your doggie like they know their own, you owe it to your pup and your piece of mind to try the incomparable, Lucie's Barkingham Palace. This low rating does not reflect the wonderful customer service and awesome grooming service experiences I've had at this establishment. The low rating is for the blatant disregard of public health and safety. Just weeks ago, the entire company was shut down due to a COVID outbreak among the staff. Before that happened, I noticed that very few (if any) employees were wearing masks. This concerned me because I'm sure they interact with dozens of customers a day. Also, it's been proven that domestic pets can be asymptomatic carriers of COVID.
Today, when I arrived, there were at least 3 employees I spoke with who weren't wearing masks. One employee was coughing. I have lost several loved ones to this terrible virus. We're still in the midst of a global pandemic. Mask wearing should be enforced, especially by businesses who have already been negatively impacted by this disease that can still be fatal, despite the fact that many are vaccinated.

First and foremost we are sorry for your loss, this virus has taken a terrible toll on us all.
Now regarding your unfair and ridiculous review; Masks are NOT MANDATED! If you took the time to read the sign it clearly states CDC recommendations, which are posted by a majority of local businesses in the US and abroad. If you feel the need to wear a mask then do so. We are all fully vaccinated and wore masks throughout the reopening process, but we all still contracted Covid, some more than once. If you were concerned about unmasked staff then you should have taken advantage of our curbside pickup and drop-off we have and continue to provide for immune deficient clients or anyone who is concerned about close contact. The CDC states on their website transmission through Pets is EXTREMELY low! Taking to YELP and trying to hurt a small family run business is a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourself. Did you voice your concerns to management before taking to yelp? Did you know that some people have medical exemptions from wearing a mask? Did you ask management if any of the staff have medical exemptions? No you did not! We LOVE!! Lucies! They are my go to dog hotel in the area and take excellent care of my pet. everyone in the office is always so nice and friendly and I love seeing the other dogs when you walk in couldn't be happier to have this place around!! Only thing I wish They had are cameras. Not because I don't trust them, because I miss my dog lol but they always send pictures when asked!

Lucie and her staff care greatly about your pups. They are super professional and know their allergies, preferences, personalities. You can also get your doggy fresh and groomed before you pick the up from daycare/boarding. Both our dogs who are typically super needy (shepherds, amirite) go bonkers and don't even turn around to say bye when we drop them off. So I think it's safe to say they also give the Barkingham Palace 5 stars!

We used to take our dog there for doggie daycare when we needed to (2016-2017). We only used Lucie's for that & thought it was great. We boarded our dog there for 10 days in 2019 & when we picked him up he had an obvious cough. We took him to the vet & they said, "yep, kennel cough. Where has he been?" Only Lucie's for boarding (we had not needed doggie daycare in that time frame, he doesn't like the dog park, he never had a single symptom the 5 weeks since his last groom, which is done in a small facility & not kept there additional time after his groom is done). After leaving the vet I called Lucie's & requested that the owner call me back & told them that my dog contracted kennel cough while staying there. I was told "okay" by the person on the phone & when I asked if they were going to do anything about it she said "no". I still requested the owner to call me back. The owner did NOT call me back to address what had occurred. I was worried about the other dogs that might still be at their facility exhibiting symptoms & new dogs coming in. I was not asking for anything from them. That response of lack of care just rubbed me the wrong way & I knew that we wouldn't be returning. Fast forward a few years later (now 2022), I posted this review on another platform & got ATTACKED by Jeff Greco, the owner who didn't bother to address the phone call years ago but wanted to attack me for posting my review. Mind you, no one on that feed had suggested his facility as a good place to take a dog for doggie daycare. Only that it was a place to be avoided. I hope he doesn't verbally attack clients like this in person. If he had just ignored & allowed my honest review on a public platform or addressed my concern via PM, I wouldn't be writing this review today. I'm glad we never brought our dog back & I'm sorry for all the referrals we've had that I've heard other complaints about Lucie's terrible responses recently as well, but I'll allow those people to post the details themselves.

Today, my long haired dachshund Clydesdale had his first " spa" experience at Lucie's. Randi, his groomer, not only exceeded expectations, but also found Clyde's baby teeth behind his canines were causing him pain and need to be extracted!
This is a huge deal. Our vet sees Clyde regularly, but has never, ever looked at his teeth like Randi did today!
Clyde's grooming was perfect! Now he can enjoy the summer heat without all the extra hair weighing him down. He looks amazing, thanks to Randi!
No offense, Petco, but Lucie's is in a league of its own.

We boarded our puppy Teddy with Lucie's twice this summer and are so happy with our experience. We had used another popular local facility last summer, and were frustrated with how difficult it was to talk to an actual person or get a call back when wanting to make a reservation. Decided to try Lucie's and I am so happy we did! The staff at Lucie's is extremely welcoming, attentive and responsive. They sent us photos and videos of Teddy while we were away. We can tell our puppy was well cared for and had plenty of play time.

My 18 month-old lab mix and I are thrilled with Lucy's doggie daycare. Nick does a great job grouping the pups by size and play style, supervising staff, and creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment.
Everybody is friendly and accommodating. Most importantly, Dobie loves going to 'camp' and comes home happy and tired. Though Dobie didn't quite love his recent bath at Lucy's, he looked great afterward. Dobie and I give Lucy's 5 paws, er,stars. My experience has been phenomenal! I love that you can make an appointment for grooming and get in quickly. Jill was so helpful during that process. Then I brought my dogs to Judy for grooming and they both look amazing. My overall impression was very professional, pleasant, and friendly staff. I also noticed that all the dogs were very comfortable and happy to be there. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.
