Quality Shoe Repair

I needed the rubber pads on the heels of My Allen Edmond Mcallisters replaced. I took them in, they were done that afternoon. It cost around $20 bucks or so. The quality of the work was near a DIY level. There are gaps on both heels where he didn't properly glue the rubber to the heel block. The sanding to make the pad match the rest of the heel was shoddy and uneven.

He didn't use any edge dressing to allow it to match the rest of the sole. The worst part is he put a beveled edge on the rubber! Who does that? I'm supposed to wear that down myself. It's supposed to be straight! This guy is an amateur at best that has no business working on shoes, or he's using second rate help. Not sure, but pitiful work! Go to Houston!

Had a couple of handbags repaired and they have done a great job.

Also they sell very good quality leather products that could be used on shoes and bags.

Beyond unbelievable. I had a pair of leather sole boots with ripped welting and 3 years of salt stains resoled there. If I hadn't branded them, I'd swear they gave me a new pair.

New to town and dry cleaner sent me to this shop. I needed heels on a pair of Edmund Allen. Cashier was pleasant and prices reasonable. They were prompt and did good work except ... they did not edge dress the whole sole, only around the heel. Amazing laziness. Also, unlike other shops I've used, they didn't bother to shine the shoes. I'd have paid a few dollars more for better results. If I had other choices in town, I'd go elsewhere.

I have brought countless pairs of shoes, boots, belts & purses here over at least 10 years & will continue to do so. My husband and I both have very unusual shoe sizes; as a result, our shoes are "special-order" (expensive) & we try to make them last as long as possible before finally tossing them. Quality Shoes has been able to repair, re-repair & keep our shoes functioning long after they were seemingly well beyond hope. From replacing zippers, entire soles & heels, to patching rips in leather & mending torn straps, they have beautifully restored them all. Quality workmanship at a very fair price.

They do not put a shine on your shoes after doing repairs, unusual for a shoe repair shop. When I questioned the policy, the owner got upset and told me to take my shoes somewhere else.

Left a pair of heels here over 4 months for the sole to be repaired. I have gone back several times to check on the status of my shoe. They have now ruined my show with all the things they have tried. Will be taking them to Houston now in hopes they can fix what this place has done wrong.

This review is way overdue.
The service here is excellent and I will never use anybody else. I brought in four pairs of my grandfather's old boots thinking that nothing could be done with them. He was honest enough to tell me that one shoe was beyond repair, when he could have just taken my money anyway. He had the other three pairs done in about a week. When I went to pick them up, they looked brand new. With replaced soles and heels and the work that he had done to refurbish the leather, one could not tell that they were not brand spanking new.
I wear the boots daily and could not ask for a better repair job. Excellent service with excellent prices. I will surely return.
