Hard Sun--Eddie Vedder harmony in my head
I recently went to Vegan House for the lunch special that happens M-F. It was packed which made me happy that so many folks were enjoying vegan meals since I am a longtime vegan of over two decades. I am car-free and walked over three miles here in 80 plus Fahrenheit weather. Only one waiter was handling the whole restaurant so took him awhile to bring out water as needed to rehydrate after walking an hour plus some in the heat and hard sun.
Eventually water was brought out. My waiter suggested the Green Curry so opted for this and got the Curry medium hot. I could have had mild, medium, hot, or Thai Hot yet medium is what I opted for. The Lunch special was quite alright. Tasty and nourishing. The Curry came with a side of brown rice and a simple side salad with dressing.
I would have liked more rice yet was just fine. The Medium Curry had just the right amount of heat and good flavor in the Curry. No way would I opt for Hot or Thai Hot for that matter.
It was an affordable lunch at $12 before taxes. Recommended if in Downtown Phoenix.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fay W.Mesa, AZ08719Feb 11, 2024Updated review
We love this place - excellent food, quick and friendly service. We're working our way through the menu so we don't miss anything. Today Pad Thai and Pumpkin with tofu.

But that wouldn't bring us back several times a month. We're eating our way through the whole menu. Everything is delicious, the veggies and cooked perfectly, the "not meat" proteins have great taste and texture - something not easily achieved. Even if you're not vegan (we're not), try it just because it's amazing food!

This restaurant is amazing! The most flavorful green curry I've had since I was in Thailand, great noodle dishes, nice ambiance and quick service.

We decided to come here before a concert and arrived around 710. The kitchen closes at 730 and restaurant at 8 so we were limited on time. However, we were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken. Once he came back, we put in our orders since it was close to closing.
I got the Thai iced tea with boba, it was sweet but I liked it. Loved that they make it with soy milk since it's a vegan restaurant. My friend got Thai iced coffee and liked it after asking for more milk to combat the sweetness.
For our appetizer, we chose the veggie rolls and they were hot and delicious. They came with the standard sweet and sour sauce. For my entree, I ordered the pad thai with tofu and veggies, spice level hot. Didn't really have much spice to it which was disappointing since that is a sweet dish and needs heat to balance the flavors. I did love all the veggies in it, and it tasted good. My friend got the fried rice with veggies and when I tried it, enjoyed the spices in it. Service was good and our food was prepared quickly. I'd come back to try more dishes!Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Ashley G.Baltimore, MD776155Jun 15, 2023
The potstickers were good, crispy outside, and tasty dipping sauce
The jungle noodles were ok, I like that the fresh vegetables had a crunch to them. But the overall dish was weak om flavor.
Parking was street parking, and must pay.
Customer service was goodHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha D.Peoria, AZ1438Feb 28, 2024Updated review
So after having lunch here Monday afternoon, I took my hubby to dinner here Tuesday evening and then took a co-worker for lunch today, making this 3 days in a row of eating here. I am absolutely loving this place. Been eating the dumpling curry due to some diet restrictions but plan to venture out soon. My hubby had the green curry for dinner last night and said it was the best curry he's ever had. We followed up dinner with a scoop of the vegan coconut ice cream, DELICIOUS!! The staff was very friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain some of the menu in more detail and made sure we were well taken care of.
My co-worker had the dumpling curry and the sweet potato and taro for lunch today, she fell in love at first bite. We have decided this will be a lunch frequent for us. Honestly, amazing food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 6, 2019Previous reviewHave never heard of this place but found it doing a search online for vegan places near my work yesterday. I ordered the Dumpling Curry, AMAZING! I ordered online for pickup and the food was ready when I arrived, hot and bagged, and they even had my drink in the fridge next to the register to keep it cold. The meal was absolutely wonderful. I love green curry but the vegetable dumplings just put this on a whole other level of awesome! Perfect blend of spices, not too spicy but definitely not bland. Would recommend this place and especially this dish. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved it so much taking my hubby to dinner here tonight.

It's all vegan!!!
This was my first time hunting for vegan dishes in Arizona and it worked out pretty well.
It's starts off well as, I managed to get front door parking. Greeted upon entry after careful review of the menu the food has more of a Thai back ground in cooking and preparation. Let's see what I will try.
Dim Sum
Fish Wrap
Orange Chicken
Shrimp Fried Rice
Really great spot treat 2 friends out here eating Vegan for the first time and they really enjoyed and bragged about it as well.
So, until the next time, Bye-Bye!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 20, 2022
I came here for dinner on a Friday evening. The place wasn't too busy, but the one worker was busy at the register with another customer. I wasn't sure if I needed to wait to be seated so I waited by the register. Once he noticed, he said I was able to sit where I pleased.
Food:
I ordered the orange "chicken". It was pretty tasty and just what I wanted this evening.
The menu has some good variety, so I am sure everyone would be able to find something enticing to them.
Service:
My server (the same person from the register) was very attentive and very nice. He came by often to refill my water. I had asked for the bathroom code to wash my hands, and he came over when he saw that I was struggling with the door. My food also arrived in a timely manner after ordering.
TL;DR - good vegan food with exceptional service. I'll be back when I am in the area.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
