Bayview Pub

I'm coming on here to say I think this is the best bacon I've ever had. Got the beast burger and am quite happy! Pull a strip of bacon off of it and tell me different!

This 5 stars is only based off of my experience at the bar top. I had the Peruvian soup which was delicious! I only ordered that to pair along with my equally amazing local blueberry ale. The bartender was engaging and friendly. The views along the window areas were breathtaking; as is most of Sitka.

Friendly servers and a nice view of the boat harbor. They have a nice selection of beer on tap. The menu is Alaskan pub themed; fish and chips, sandwiches, burgers (using wild meats) etc. I had an elk burger, it came slightly over cooked and wasn't enough to bring me back during my trip. They have TVs inside if you want to catch a sports game. I'd recommend this place for people visiting on boat tours to get a quick meal and beer.

This place is a gem! We are in Sitka for a week and we ate here twice out of that time! My niece had her first Alaskan salmon here and I tried the Pub burger and it was so delicious! I got it with blue cheese and tots, which were cooked perfectly! The low carb bowl looked amazing and my niece loved it so much, she ordered it the next time we went and got it with Halibut. She loved both. My husband got the sliders, which he loved. The service is great, very casual and laid back. Definitely recommend!

I read a few of the other reviews. Not sure what the deal was with service a week ago, but our visit was great. Our server was prompt and placed our orders right away. Food came out later than I would have thought it should for 5 orders of halibut and chips, but oh well. The halibut was great. Hot, crispy and the way I'd expect it to be. Delicious. They know how to make French fries, crispy not almost done. The seafood chowder was really good too. Two rounds of margaritas. Ignore the prices on Yelp, they are way off, unless what we paid were "cruise day" prices. $38 for halibut...it's was still awesome. Being a cruise day, it was really busy and loud. Typical pub atmosphere. If in town again, I'd come back.

The salmon burger was tasty with the house special sauce! There's a choice of blackened, grilled, charbroiled or fried. Service was really nice, welcoming, and the ambiance was casual.

Service was excellent and friendly, food was flavorful and fresh. It's pricey, but, it's also Alaska. Everything is expensive, even bad food. Luckily, this is good food and I would certainly come back.

Clam chowder was to die for!
It has a perfect "Russian" touch- with a little bit of dill- Sitka style!

Sisters and I had lunch here the other day and were very disappointed- both with the food and the service. For the prices they charge the food was mediocre in flavor and quality. Not only did they unceremoniously throw the silver on the table in front of us the ketchup container was empty and we had to bother them for the check. When he said he would bring the check he actually grabbed my sisters credit card off of her wallet and walked away.
Not a lunch experience I would wish on anyone.

We really enjoyed our stop at the Bayview Pub in Sitka. If you are looking for a hot chowder and a cold beer, this is a perfect place to stop. Service was quick and friendly and I was seated right away while waiting for my friends. I enjoyed an Alaskan White on draft while I perused the menu. I also noticed the plates of food being enjoyed by the other guests were generous portions. Bartender and servers were attentive and helpful. Even though it was busy while we were there, we appreciated how multiple servers stopped by to check in and keep the drinks flowing for us. Fun place to stop, when in Sitka, I am going to sit here for a while again and enjoy the beers and bites at Bayview.
