MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub

My husband and I tried this place for lunch and I was very happy with the choice. The service was very good our waiter never let the drinks run out. I was a little disappointed in the limited draft/craft selections. I had a stockman pizza and it was amazing. My husband had the rod and reel which gives you a choice on sides and entry. We will be returning soon

HUGE MENU. I mean it is a tad overwhelming but there are so many options. Lunch, dinner, you name it they have quite the selection of food. I have not tried the pizza, but the salads are awesome and the drink menu is fire too.

The menu is a big one and it is impressive that the staff actually know the menu and can provide recommendations on top of knowing each item and what it comes with. It is a nice sit down space, with plenty of seating to match the huge menu and parking lot. Food comes fairly quick as do drinks and dessert. Will have to come try the happy hour.

Thank you for having gluten free options. A whole menu worth!

My daughter was able to pick anything with confidence and without fear of becoming terribly ill.
Learning to navigate this new health restriction is tricky, thank you for taking the guess work out.

McKenzie River is a nice sit down place that is certainly one of my favorites in the Spokane area. They have a great selection of beer and I've never had bad service here. The fish & chips, a preference of mine, is breaded (not normally a favorite for me) and spicy (medium spicy) and has always been wonderful. Fries are certainly a bagged type but have skins on them and are always very good.

If you haven't checked the place out, do so . . .

We came in on a Saturday at 11:30. There was one server on staff and 2 tables already seated. Our group of 8 waited over 40 minutes to place our order then another hour before the first dish came out. It took another 25 minutes for all of the food to come out. Only 2 other tables were seated while we were there.

The food is alright no major complaints but not phenomenal.

If you have nothing todo but wait for service, this may be your kinda place. I walked in, was seated in the bar area as requested and sat there for nearly 20 minutes before I walked out, not one person said anything to me, the service was horrible, servers where walking around but not helping any one in the bar area. I watched another couple sit there and shake their heads, all they wanted was there tab to leave the whole time I was there.

Ok. We were at Red Robin. 2 hour wait.
Called and they said they could accommodate us. 14 people. Showed up and it was empty. One guy was running around. Took 25 minutes for our drinks. Then took food order. Three small kids. Asked for the Mac and cheese and bread sticks to come first. They didn't.
It looked like he was the waiter and the cook.
Didn't come back forever- cuz I think he was all
Alone.
Finally got food. It was good. Not great. I'd bet the Mac n cheese was microwaved.

Then the one guy working had his food in a booth. He would stop and eat. It was Chinese food from another place!!! I'm not kidding.

As we were leaving more staff showed up.
This was 3 o'clock on a Saturday.

Really unreal and unsatisfactory.

Received a comment. They want to talk to me about my review. Please explain to me why I would take the time to call to explain what just explained. Seriously.

Back again for a birthday pizza dinner. 3 pizzas all great. Again on the nose with great service.

Surprisingly, my visit here was not even close to what the ratings suggest .. it was as good as it gets .. 4.5 stars .. 5 would be a bit too much too easy :D but 4.5 is totally correct.

Met a friend here during happy hours today .. and boy the lady serving us was so full of energy and she was funny & friendly .. we loved her .. and may be she was the reason we had a great time .. except we are funny too .. hehe .. and the place was clean as a whistle ..

Our beer was cold and nice .. food was decent .. what else do you want .. I had their happy hour food, the first one on the menu .. the jacked up taco with santa fe chicken was great.

Had too good a time today to not give them 2 thumbs up .. will return but the ratings would kinda push me to keep my fingers crossed :)

My wife, and I stopped here for the first time this weekend for a quick snack. This is a nice looking restaurant with an outdoors fishing theme; the staff was attentive. We tried the Apple & Chicken flatbread; garlic infused olive oil, smoked Gouda and cheddar topped with roasted Gala apples, chicken, hickory smoked bacon and caramelized onions, drizzled with balsamic BBQ sauce. While it looked ok the flatbread tasted like it had been left out overnight and then baked, it was a total distraction to the other ingredients which were fine. We stopped here because we had friends who really like it here; we will probably come back to see if we have a better experience.
