Steen's Master Lube

My car had a shimmy in it and I had taken it to a dealership but they couldn't find what was wrong so I took it to Steen's and they knew within a half hour what was wrong, got me in the next day to get it fixed. They are now my go to place for everything with my car. On the plus side, very friendly and even gave me a ride to work and came and picked me up when the car was done.

And I recently moved to Newport and needed new brakes for my vehicle. I booked with Les Schwab to normally is quite reliable, but this time when I showed up for my appointment, they had no record and none of the parts. My brother recommended I reach out to Steens to see if they could help me. I was able to get in in a very reasonable amount of time and when I arrived, they immediately took my vehicle into the garage and started working. Everyone in there is so friendly, and they clearly all like each other. I thought it was really great that almost every customer that came in was greeted by their name so obviously they have built a lot of loyalty. I certainly will be back and I'm so grateful for them for doing my brakes and did them for $350 less than Les Schwab!

We drove from Washington state. As the more miles we went the looser our steering wheel became. Asking the front desk of a reccomenedation, we were ended at Steen's. So thankful. They immediately looked at it and knew how to fix it. We were in and out within 20 minutes. Very nice and friendly owners. If your ever in need of a mechanic and are in the Newport, OR area and need your car worked on. I definitely reccomend Steen's.

I can guarantee this business doesn't appreciate my feedback.
Was to receive a refund of 100.00 dollars.
Requested money order, better yet, told them I would drive an hour to get refund since mail delivery has been less than efficient.
Refund supposedly sent on 4-8-2021.
Today is 4-22
If the turtle ever arrives, I will at least, amend my review to show money received.

As a Father of two kids that drive, and a business owner that relies on my service trucks running well I highly recommend these guys. They have always done work on my vehicle's from oil changes to replacing a transmission. They are a Family owned business and treat you like family. I can call them anytime and they are always willing to help. It gives me peace of mind knowing my kids, wife and business vehicles are safe and in good working order thanks to Steen's. I'm a customer for life.

Called Steen's two weeks ago as I was going to be in Newport for doctor's appt.

Spoke to owner, he said he could get me in same day and he said to be sure not to be late.
He was very candid about his guys watching the clock from 3:30 to close on Fridays.
'Meaning, service could suffer.
I explained exactly what I wanted, had my own oil, my own transmission fluid, price, very reasonable, 100 dollars for everything.
Two weeks later, today, happened to look in the back of my car and was shocked to see that my oil and transmission fluid had not been used as requested.
Needless to say, not happy after taking the time to explain details.
I called about 11:30 a.m. this morning.
Spoke with Kayla initially, she put Justin on the phone.
He asked a couple of questions, asked if he could call me back.
I answered yes, please, surprise! No call back.
That lie really pissed me off.
I called at 4:00 p.m., answering machine, figures.
I left my message, no call back, terrible service.
Wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.
Another local business presenting shoddy service, doesn't care and hides under a rock.

Justin and the staff went above and beyond to help us out. While traveling in the area our RV would not start. They coached us on how to getting it running with a starter that had stopped working. With their help it was up and running just enough to avoid an expensive tow. The new starter was delivered early the next morning and we were back on our vacation by 10:30AM. Thank you to all of you at Steen's Master Lube!!!!

I was a few year customer until I had $600 of repairs done and my car. My car still had same issues I took it to another shop for 2nd opinion, they confirmed same work needed done. I called steens and was told by the owner that his mechanics had made several errors on many cars and he fired him and the front desk person and they cost him business. He went on to say how how devastated he felt. He did not offer any recourse for me. My boyfriend kindly paid ( I was out $$) another $600 to have same work done at another shop which showed us how the shoe pad had been shaved to incorrectly fit. I was very upset, called back steens to inform owner of the result of his mechanic's work proven by another shop. At this point was told by steens owner about some work guarantee, that I could of taken my car back to steens. So, then he offered a few free oil changes after I indicated I was completely disgusted with how he handled my situation previously.

Steens is our #1 spot for repairs. Russ and his crew are the nicest people to work with. They always get us in for repairs and oil changes either same day or next. Workmanship is always great and price of service always beats every other repair shop. We always tell our friends and family to call Steens first, they can count on honest work with fair prices. Having work done on the muffler system tomorrow and know it will be done right.

Horrible communication and people skills. Kept my truck for 4 days fixed nothing. Told me they would overnight all the parts. They never ordered anything. Yelling and cursing at me for being upset. Driving through the desert with 2 infants and no a/c . Thanks steens
