Just realized I've been patronizing this business for years yet never took the time to write a review.
HH is my goto florist for occasion flowers. I was using one of the online companies before, but my deliveries were less than wowing.
Shopping local provides me with excellent service, guaranteed deliveries and most importantly outstanding arrangements.

I prefer to go local as much as possible. My mother-in-law was celebrating a birthday and I wanted her to have a new flowering plant for her sunny window. I called Hyacinth House and spoke with RJ. He helped me set up my order and arrange delivery.

Negative: pathetic substitute for the deluxe floral arrangement that was purchased. I would not recommend using this company for special occasions. The flowers delivered are an embarrassment and quite different from the advertised product except maybe the color palette.

I was on the market for a surprise floral arrangement and Hyacinth House more than delivered! I placed the order the day before and the Punch Of Color Bouquet truly brightened up our day! They were timely, friendly and their floral design was truly exceptional and you can tell how much attention to detail they put into their work. Thank you for helping me gift such a beautifully arranged surprise!

I bought a great Yucca plant (and other plants) about 4 months ago (now) from very nice/helpful lady Becky (In the Greenhouse area). Plant was doing well, was Happy and was watering once every 2/3 weeks and then both stems started getting yellow leaves/dropping, etc. They nicely asked me to bring in (they say over-Watered), nurse it back and will look after it for about 2 weeks or so (owner Jim was taking care of me on this) - that was nice of them and Appreciated that. Have it back, the tall Stem is doing great, new growth, etc but the smaller 1 No growth at all, no leaves, etc. Will check Root Bulb to see if salvageable or needs to be Removed, etc? I just called them this morn talked to a Emily (I have talked/seen her before), I was just asking a couple of questions, she didn't have an answer to 1 of them (was asking Jim for clarification who was standing right next to her, I could hear him), then she just Hung-Up on me!
I called back, Jim answered, I explained Emily just Hung-Up on me. Jim said (quote), "We and I Don't have the time to take and Answer all your questions. We have other customer's and things to do all day"! I understand them being busy and can't spend all day on the phone (but I only had a couple of questions, no big deal), however I have NEVER been Hung Up like that (Assume, Jim told Emily to Hang Up on me, too busy) and/or told that from an Owner/Manager.
BUYERS BEWARE, THIS OWNER, ETC, (EXCEPTION IS: BECKY), HAS NO COMPREHENSION OF HOW TO SPEAK/TREAT PAYING CUSTOMER'S (I ALSO, OVER-HEARD A SIMILAR CONVERSATION FROM JIM, WHILE ON PHONE, LAST TIME I WAS THERE, UP FRONT IN OFFICE AREA). JIM ALSO (I HAVE HEARD HIM A COUPLE OF TIMES, WHEN IN THE STORE), HAS A RATHER VULGAR VOCABULARY, UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER AND USES PROFANITY, RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN!
I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER PLANT OR GO INTO THE BUSINESS AGAIN, THEY CERTAINLY "LOST" ME AS A CUSTOMER AND I WILL LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW AS WELL!
Sadly, this is How this business owner/manager Jim perceives is OK and treatment of his Customer's!
YOU NEED US (CUSTOMER'S and LOYAL CUSTOMER'S), WE "DON'T NEED YOU JIM"!
I WON'T NOR HAVE TO "TOLERATE" THAT KIND OF BUSINESS BEHAVIOR (Disrespectful).
THIS IS A "NO WIN" Business situation for You and Only Hurts the "BOTTOM LINE"! There are plenty of OTHER Green Houses and places I can (and Will) go buy Plants than your Hyacinth House Business (and Prices, I see, most the time, are little Better elsewhere also, since your Pricing is a little High)!

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and we are sorry about your latest of many experiences at the HHG.
It is understood that most of our staff knows you by name, and have always gone above and beyond during your visits/calls. We also do our best to be understanding and responsive of your requests, questions, and stories over the years... such as holding and nursing your plant(s) back to health for over a month in our greenhouse, at no cost to you.
However, during peak seasons such as the holidays, sometimes calls are lost when they are put on hold/mute. This is due to the volume of calls we receive and not intentional. However, we are sorry you feel this way and will look into fixing this problem for the future.

When I walked into the bogo plant sale this past Saturday I was greeted by the owner and treated so well. I balled out on some monsterra plants I had my eye on for quite some time. The energy was so amazing and everyone was so excited about plants. The owner also gave me a cart and a worker helped me carry my plants to the car! Loved everything about this place and it made my Saturday morning so special

Stopped it to pick up some flowers for a co-worker and they didn't have a lot of pre-made bouquets available, but the ones they did have were nice. They let me walk in the greenhouse to see their potted plants and they had some AMAZING greenery and potted plants! Will probably be back when I'm ready to add more plants to my collection.

I live in Fort Wayne and ordered flowers for my daughters birthday in Lansing. I had a mix up on my addresses. RJ was very helpful getting the right location straitened out and getting the gorgeous bouquet delivered to my daughter! Great folks and quality flowers. Ill definitely use this shop again! I ordered flowers for a family member on Mother's Day and not knowing florists in Lansing, I turned to Yelp and chose Hyacinth House based on the reviews. They definitely didn't disappoint. The arrangement was really beautiful, delivered early on the scheduled day, and were very reasonably priced. Will definitely use them again.
