Penske Truck Rental

Nick's the man... Helped right away when another location wouldn't..Answered all concerns..

This was the worst experience. I rented the truck as a round trip and tried to change it to a one way. I was willing to pay any fee. I called every customer service available including corporate and they kept sending me back to this manager at Hayward, CA. He refused and insisted that I return the truck. He didn't care that I was over a hundred miles away. He didn't answer the phone and the only way to get through was to wait on que with customer service. The manager at the Hayward location was ridged an inflexible. He put a note in my file to not allow any accommodation. I also think that he was a racists

I reserved a truck online on Thursday, January 28th for pick up on Sunday, January 31st. I spoke to a customer service agent the same day to confirm the time to pick up the truck. I get a call on January 29th advising they don't have the truck as their inventory is short. It was possible I could get a truck in Santa Clara even though I reserved the truck in Fremont...no guarantees and they would call me the day of to let me know. Absolutely HORRIBLE! Apparently the website should not be functioning due to the short inventory but it is and customers are left scrambling to find a truck the day before it's needed. This is NO way to treat a customer and the company should be ashamed of themselves. I will not advise anyone to rent with Penske. I deserve a call from their corporate headquarters apologizing for the egregious err. Unbelievable.

Very convenient for you if you need a truck for moving. Pricey but convenient. Trucks of any size or eve a large van. Thank you guys.

You can get a small discount if you are a AAA member. I can't remember the gentleman's name that helped me, it was either Mike or Chris...but he was friendly and courteous.

My biggest fear with renting a moving truck was that they were going to try to get over on me by charging me for a scuff or dent that was already on the truck, so I made sure to be very vigilant about that. They already had their form filled out with scuffs and dings and asked me to sign it PRIOR to walking around the truck and looking at any damages. I said no, I would sign it AFTER I walked around the truck. They had most of the scuffs and dings on the form, but they didn't have all of them, so make sure you walk around with them and look at the truck completely before you sign anything.

Walked into the office and met Elisha. Right of the bat i knew my experience was going to being amazing. Her ability to interact was great. She totally made my day after having a horrible experience at UHAUL. If i ever need a truck rental again I'll definitely becoming back to Penske to visit Elisha.

They are very efficient and convenient. Nabil defines world class service, he was friendly, patient and direct thoughout my multiple request changes.

We were quickly and efficiently given our rental truck. Penske even offers a military discount which is a huge plus (every little bit helps). The truck itself was fairly clean inside and out. No complaints overall.

I come by here to pick up trucks to rent for my job once a week. The staff here are always friendly (since we are here all the time), and the equipment is always in great shape. Penske recently purchased some new trucks, so we often get those vehicles. My company has a long standing relationship with Penske, and we've never had any problems with them. Highly recommended.

Though certain locations may be OK, be watchful for a bait and switch issue that they have. They can not guarantee that the truck you order online will be available for example, until you arrive at the location. Seriously?! If you have other choices, save yourself the effort and use them.
