Restaurant is beautiful with many dining rooms, fireplace and cool atmosphere.
Caesar salad, without anchovies or croutons, was cold and it was good, esp with the bread they give you. Bread had roasted cloves of garlic in it and was delicious.
French onion soup was good.
Steaks didn't go as well.
Filet mignon chargrilled med rare, 12 oz New York Strip chargrilled med rare, and 12 oz New York Strip chargrilled well done were all too dry. So they were all sent back to kitchen and we told them to cancel the orders. But manager talked us out of it
I changed my order to well done mini chargrilled burgers rather than 12 oz New York Strip chargrilled well done.
The new orders were taking too long, so the one who ordered filet mignon got up, told us he doesn't want any steak, and left. Shortly after he left, the food arrived.
Chargrilled burgers were dry and did not have chargrilled flavor.
The replacement of 12 oz New York Strip chargrilled med rare was really good! Friend was trying to figure out why original steak was dry, replacement was good. She concluded that original steaks must have been old. And they came out too fast. Replacement order took long time to prepare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ameet D.Fords, NJ1151327Mar 7, 2024
Great servers and attentive staff. Good drink menu. Ambiance also very high end. We had a party of four and ordered the calamari. Bread is really hearty as well.
Cattleman's board was our entree and has a great variety for our size party. Our server was extremely attentive and had us try the steak to make sure it was to our liking, medium.
However, it was a bit over done so she politely took it back to have it replaced. The house manager came over and apologized for the inconvenience. He then insistently brought us a couple sushi rolls to snack on, free of charge, while we waited.
Second steak came out as ordered and the entire platter was really good. Definitely will be back as service is superb, drink options plentiful and food selection on par with high end steak houses.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - J. D.Astoria, NY8246138Dec 27, 2023
Pleasantly surprised by this steakhouse in Kalahari. We were seated right away. Seated next to the fire.
We were served garlic& rosemary bread and it was delish! The filet mignon was perfect, garlic mashed potatoes were the accompaniment.
The sushi was fresh and the service was attentive. We had Nicole as our server. She was kind and sweet.
We were too full for dessert but I saw chocolate lava cake on the menu. Will definitely be back in the future.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 9, 20241 check-in
This is a cute steakhouse out in the Poconos. The service was amazing. The food came out extremely fast. The espresso martinis had a amaretto Lacore with cream on top, which is absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked well the sushi is OK for a steakhouse. The chocolate lava cake is pretty big. The calamari is not seasoned, but it was fried well. The lamb was asked to be cooked medium, however, it was more medium rare, but my sister absolutely loved it. The bread that comes with the table has an amazing rosemary taste

Stumbled across this restaurant and stopped by for a few glasses of wine during my stay at khalahari. 2 nights in a row. Who says you can't be solo dolo? I used to mind that, but now that I'm older... a girl needs her drink and doesn't care bout being solo anymore.
The bartender Jeffrey was very funny & nice. That's all I remember about the bar on the nights I came solo.
Anyway, the ambiance is super romantic. Dim lights . Smooth music. Definitely stop by for a date night.
Onto the food.
Had dinner here on my bday night. The hanging maple wood bacon - omg, it's a must try. It was so delicious. It came literally hanging (see below photo) and the toast it came with. It was A1. I don't really eat carbs, and I ate 2 slices of the toast. So that really says a lot.
Oh, the poached scallops appetizer was fantastic. Scallops cooked to perfection. It's not undercooked or rubbery overcooked.
My sirloin steak w crabmeat was ok.
My asparagus was def overcooked - mushy. Bleh.
They have happy hour on Wednesdays from 5p-7p half off their specialty drinks.
I'll be back the next time I'm in town though.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1Business owner information

We came here for dinner while staying at Kalahari on a Monday night for a 6:30 pm reservation. The place is huge and gorgeous. Beautiful bar/lounge area and plenty of seating. We were seated at a booth with our 2 kids and Shawn was our waiter. He was amazing with kids and did a few magic tricks with cards that had my kids entertained. He totally made our dining experience special. We knew this was going to be a pricey dinner... Entrees range from $35+ without sides. We ordered the kids menu of grilled cheese+ fries ($12) and battered shrimp + Mac and cheese ($18). The portions were very big, delicious too. Grilled cheese was with thick Texas toast filled with American cheese, fries were crispy and flavorful. The battered shrimps were ok,but the side Mac n cheese was a hit.
I ordered the ahi tuna $35:(cooked rare) and hubby ordered the scallops ($42) and large side of mashed potatoes $12. Everything was delicious, but there were only 6 scallops in the order, so just beware. However, between all of our orders, we left with plenty of boxes for leftovers.
We shared a key lime pie that was equivalent of 2 slices of what you would get anywhere else ($13). It was delicious!!!
I totally recommend this place for dinner when you are here, it will not disappoint.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

This was our first time visiting Double Cut. We would certainly come back! Our server Dianne was so sweet. Very kind, nice, pleasant, friendly. Made sure the kids were set, made sure we were set. The service alone was impeccable. The entire staff seemed wonderful really great.
Ambiance, romantic. Great for families as well, overall a nice place. Pricey but everything here is and it is worth it. Again no cash, except tip.
For dinner we ordered the hanging bacon, so delicious. The short ribs tacos they were very good. Lots of flavor. For our entrees, 2 filets I got mine as it comes, my husband opted for the garlic parm crust. It looked and smelled delicious. We ordered the creamy spinach and garlic mashed potatoes family style. The mashed potatoes were very good. The creamy spinach was a bit runny, still good however. The kiddos got the chicken with fries and filet with Mac n cheese. We all enjoyed our meals very much. Left full with no room for dessert, although the dessert sounds ahhhmazing. Might have to try another time!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We stopped by Double Cut for drinks on our Anniversary and were very pleased. The atmosphere is a nice balance between warm/cozy and modern, with a huge bar in the center of the restaurant.
We sat at the bar and had great service and didn't feel rushed. They offer a nice selection of specialty cocktails, but the talented bar tenders can make just about any drink you like. They also have a good selection of bourbons. On this visit we tried the blackberry Manhattan and a Blantons! Both were delicious.
The price for the drinks was not too expensive, but I would rather pay a little more for quality than the watered down drinks in other locations of the resort.
If you are at Kalahari and want a relaxing escape and good drinks, I highly recommend Double Cut. Next time we will try the food!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
