Which I---t at the Sun Valley lodge came up with the idea of serving food and opening up this historical bar to todlers and babies that get their diapers changed in the banquettes? Not what this lounge about. Now there is no room for guests and hordes of screaming kids

DELICIOUS DRINKS & FOOD! We were not staying here, but it was recommended we come to the Duchin Lounge for great drinks. We ordered the fig & sage old fashioned and the apple orchard hot toddy type drink and both of them were delicious! We also split the flat iron steak sandwich and added fries and they even split the plates/portions for us! The sandwich and fries were soooo delicious! We loved everything about this little impromptu afternoon cocktail and bite - it did set us back $75 with tip but it's worth it!!! Service was a bit slow but the lounge was pretty busy. I will come back every time we are in town.

A must when you are in SV. Great spot to relax with a cocktail listen to the piano players and watch the folks come and go.
The bartenders here are great and will make you about anything. And the food is excellent.
Don't miss it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 12, 2022Previous reviewLocated inside the SV lodge, historic spot for cocktails, food and music,,,Don't miss this spot!

Such a fun atmosphere! They had live music on Friday night which really made the place come to life (40/50s vibe!). It was very busy when we arrived and we didn't have a reservation but we put our name down and got a drink from the bar while trying to plan a next spot for dinner... and right as we were about to leave, we got a table!
Ordered 4 different appetizers which were deeeeeelicious - however, if you're not a fan of orange zest, don't order the baked Brie because they put orange on it ... wasn't my favorite. I would also recommend trying the Thai wraps next time because another table ordered those and they smelled SO good.
Synopsis: Come here for a post skiing drink and appetizer evening at a classic Sun Valley lodge (:
***and then after you've gotten in the classic music mood, end your evening by watching Sun Valley Serenade featuring Glen Miller Orchestra!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liza A.Los Angeles, CA1572106Nov 1, 2022

Excellent! Enough said. Loved eating in the lounge. The poke was fabulous. Hope I can make as good at home. The staff was wonderful. They work hard as they can't get employees. It's good to sit back and relax with wonderful piano being played. Chairs are comfortable. Everyone is happy around you. All smiles. Look forward to going back next year. Staying at the lodge is also wonderful.

Best cocktails in town with a twist of Sun Valley history! The history of old Hollywood and Hemingway follows you through the halls. The champagne is great & the lemon drops Legend. Enjoy!

The food and drinks are good but we miss Joe Fos. Music too loud and hard to hear others at the table. Still go once in a while but not near as often when Joe was there. Sad.

Remember, you are in Sun Valley at the lodge so things are a bit...more... swanky. Prices are on the top tier, the clientele probably have more money than you buuuuut no one can have more fun than you!
Kick back and relax, listen to the amazing pianist all while sipping a stellar cocktail. The plush couches suck you in and the bustling of people will keep you watching, some of which are in robes, which made me giggle.
The services was relaxed but on cue. Talking with your friends is slightly more difficult because this place is alive. We managed to chat and laugh but we are professionals, we do fun no matter the environment.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1555205673Mar 13, 2020
Staying at the lodge and all is good . Nice piano music and sometimes trio. Martinis rock! Staff get busy and cater to the largest groups so singles and two, good luck. Okay so we ordered their soft rolls with butter and jam. It never came. They got busy with bigger tables and forgot about us. When confronted they said they ran out of the soft rolls and offered their sliced sour dough bread no thank you overall, everything and everyone is having a good time. It's our last night night here at the lodge and I won't let no one ruin it for me and my niece!
