Dr. Wilson and her entire staff always seem friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and responsive to my concerns about my dog. Medication requests are always responded to immediately. The prices are very reasonable- no monthly fees or deductibles, just pay for what you need.

I got a puppy and this vet was recommended to me from someone that went to vet school with the doctor. Overall, I was not pleased with Dr. Wilson's bedside manner and quite frankly felt she was a bit rude and judgmental in regards to a few questions I had (ie. spaying). I finished out my pup's vaccinations here and have since taken my dog elsewhere.
When I requested my records from this office, I was surprised to find that they are not electronic medical records. It was hard to decipher the chicken scratch handwriting on my dog's medical record.
On the other hand, the vet techs that weigh your dog and take them into the exam room were suuuuper friendly and you could tell they are pet lovers.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - C8 D.Plano, TX09Aug 2, 2023
I've only been there once, but so far I'm pretty impressed. Front desk staff was courteous and competent, wait time was short, and even my dog was less stressed with the folks there than he is at other places. I've heard good things about this vet for awhile, so I'm glad I tried them out. Will definitely be back.

14th Street Animal Hospital was recommended to me for my beagle. Manci will soon be 6 years old. The vet saw her, provided real genuine care and provided the proper medication and diet instructions to address Manci's issues. Thank you for the care you provide for our furry kids

This vet cares. She ensures her patients are never in pain and is thoughtful and cautious in her treatments.

I was loyal to this business for 10 years. When my dog was in her final stages and I needed loving care to advise on euthanasia--I instead was met with an overworked overstressed crazy person(Dr). The doctor actually screamed at me in the lobby because I did not want to leave my dog in the cage. I was willing to sit in the parking lot with her in the car and hold her until we could be seen but she did not even let me express that. She was literally having a breakdown - red faced- having just screamed at her new employee also in front of us- and while I feel sorry for her I also want to let people know that we deserve better. We are the paying customers. We deserve to have someone who shows compassion and at least courtesy for such a long-term customer. She is having a hard time hiring but it is no wonder if she treats her paying customers this way I can't imagine what it is to work for someone in that mental state. She needs a break from this business!
My Phoebe dog was instead treated with love and compassion From Dr. Will Covart EasyVet- Allen Texas. After having her love for 14 years we owed our dog more than what we got at the 14th St. animal hospital I only wish we would've changed vets sooner.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kim B.Houston, TX044Sep 30, 2019
I've been going to see Dr. Wilson for at least 10 years, probably longer.
I have a 18 1/2 year old cat that has liver, kidney, heart and thyroid problems that Dr. Wilson has taken care of him for years. My cat is known as the energizer kitty because he keeps on going! He still acts like a kitten a lot of the time. He still comforts me when I need it.
This past May he and I drove out to California and he had a great time. I took a copy of his medical records with me just in case plus extra medicines.
If it wasn't for Dr. Wilson, I wouldn't have my boy and traveling buddy all these years. Plus we are planning on another trip out to calif in the near future.
I have another cat who is 10 and she does not like to travel at all. So I board her with Dr. Wilson because I trust them and I know that if my cat gets sick they will take care of her because I make sure to give them permission. Over the years I've boarded up-to 3 cats and 1 dog without 1 complaint.
When I had to put our dog and cat down in the past (at different times) it sure wasn't because of lack of medical attention, care or love on Dr. Wilson's part. It was time to let my fur babies go after doing everything we could so they still had quality of life.
I've never trusted a vet like I trust her. Yes, her staff has change but I find that they are caring and listen as well. If they do not know the answer to a question when I call they will find out and call me back.
I've had pets for 50 years so I know what I am talking about.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michaela M.Tacoma, WA567Jan 20, 2022
I went here based on many NextDoor reviews, but unfortunately this animal hospital did not meet my expectations at all. I felt rushed, I did not feel that things were explained to me, I don't feel that my cat received anything resembling bedside manner from anyone outside of the front desk person who weighed her at her first visit, and I did feel like we were a number and a dollar sign more than a person trying to do what's best for their pet and a pet. I went in looking to get established at a smaller "mom & pop" type vet for the long haul that would get to know our pet and her needs and operate based on that as well rather than an understanding of animals alone and unfortunately in my particular case that's not what happened. My experience was more akin to what I would expect from one of the clinics in the big box pet stores I won't name where vets don't get to know pets because they rarely return. If you like to be in and out ASAP and leave everything up to the pros without being informed about your pet and their health/care but still pay good vet prices, or if you were already established when they weren't so short staffed perhaps this would be your perfect fit. I will say her spay site looked really nice, so that they did well I think.
