Out of town we that walked in as they opened, and they were all very nice and did a great job! Wish I lived here to get this quality dip manicure always!

I also would like to add , it's a real big red flag when the nail tech says she can't do a design, cannot see the uneven apex of the nail, nor the curve on the top of the mail that came out of no shape I asked for. Totally bent off to the right , I had to question if they really couldn't see it. Proceeded to use the file myself to show where it needs to be in unison with the rest of the nails.
The great plus was the owner I am assuming was very up beat even though they charged me 40 extra dollars for acrylic "medium" - actual length was short - chromed nails.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 31, 2022Previous review$65 for SHORT acrylics? The menu even with chrome would've been $45. I'm not sure if it was because I'm from out of town but nonetheless I would have gone back to my nail tech and paid less.
I'm surprised when I questioned the price that because it was coffin and the length as well as chrome it totaled higher than what even the menu has listed.
Please do better 9 nails.
3 stars because my daughters nails were fine. - Carmine B.Lake Mary, FL0153Jun 7, 2023
I have been coming here for 2 yrs for
my mani and pedis. They are all so kind, do a great job and the salon is clean.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 12, 2020Updated review
I've been coming here since I moved to Lake Mary in 2016 so when I relocated to Winter Springs I'd still make the drive because I was always impressed. Unfortunately, this has changed due to my last two experiences.
My mom lives in Volusia county and has never had luck finding a good nail salon so she took the drive down here to go with me. Her nail tech Annie did an amazing job. Annie is my absolute favorite for a mani/pedi. I decided to treat myself to the hot stone pedicure. A middle aged gentleman was the one who did it. First he didn't let the rocks cool off enough. They were so hot I jumped at one point and let out a little scream which made Bobby look over, but he said nothing. Of course, I told him they were too hot and he proceeded to tell me it was burning his hands too. The lady next to him laughed and said he's just joking (he wasn't). He also didn't know how to properly massage my legs with the hot stone as the same lady had to show him.
I always speak up, but this time since it was my mom's first time and she was raving about Annie I paid for the hot stone even though it was miserable.
The next time I made an appointment I called and spoke to Bobby. I requested Annie and another gentleman (can't remember his name), but he's great too. He's a younger guy. Bobby told me Annie was on maternity leave and the guy was out of town. I proceeded to tell him about my last experience and that I didn't want that guy. He said yes, I think I remember what happened and assured me I wouldn't.
So we show up and Annie is their. She ended up taking me and my mom got another lady who I've had before and is too rough. Looking back, I should've switched with my mom. Annie did an amazing job, but my mom's tech was once again too rough. My mom got a gel manicure and a regular pedi polish. When I get gel mani and regular polish pedi I always pick out the color and they match it to my toes, which my mom also did. My mom, who traveled 45mins each way noticed her nails and toes were two different colors when she got home! Her nails were red and her toes were maroon. We were leaving the following morning on a cruise (this was in January before the pandemic lockdown), so she had no time to drive 45mins each way to get them fixed.
I'm highly disappointed that the salon I've been loyal to for 4 years has gone down hill.
The only reason my rating isn't lower is due to the great job they've done in the past. Had it been based on my last two experiences, I'd give 1 star.
I've found a new spot in Winter Park who did a great job and I'll be switching nail salons.Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0Nov 22, 2019Previous reviewI still love 9 nails and will come here, but stay away from the hot stone pedicure. The man who did it didn't know what he was doing. The stones were too hot. One time I literally jumped. He was super apologetic and more careful, but still too hot.
He said they were hurting his hands, which of course made me feel horrible and I couldn't enjoy the rest of the pedicure. I wanted to tell him to stop, but the nail tech next to him said no he's joking, but I don't believe he was.
It was $40. I'll stick to my regular spa pedicure for $25.Jan 22, 2019Previous reviewI recently moved to Winter Springs and travel to Lake Mary for 9 nails. Everyone raves about Bobby who I have yet to try, but my favorites are Jason for a pedicure (he gives the best messages) and Annie for my manicure.
They also give $5 off for students and even though they're always very busy they remember who you are.
I usually stop in during the week to avoid the weekend crowd, but even during the week can be busy so I recommend you making an appointment.
I do regular polish on my toes which stay for a while and gel on my finger nails for $55 before my $5 discount. - Jan 2, 2019
Needed a pedicure for my vacation. Saw this place on yelp had great reviews. Stopped in, without an appointment, on a Wednesday morning. I came at the right time. Appointments started pouring in around 1. The place was packed. I was able to get in without waiting.
I ended up having both a manicure and a pedicure, with gel. Because my nails didn't have anything on them already, the total cost was $66 before tip. I'm not sure who took care of me, but it was a middle-aged Vietnamese man. He did a nice job. He didn't hurt me. And he used clean tools.
The pedicure chair was standard- it reclines and massages. They offered me a drink, which I declined, is because I had brought one with me.
All in all, I was in and out of there in about 90 minutes. I enjoyed the foot and hand massage. I would come back here again.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - V P.Sanford, FL19312Jun 16, 2021
Be aware! I had service done, they told me the total was going to be $36. When I get home I see a $60 charge on my cc!! Obviously I called, they did not want to refund me! I couldn't dispute the charge because I didn't get a receipt, so I would def advise to get a receipt when you charge on a cc!
Also my gel nail polish started chipping within a week, they did fix that when I went back in to try to get my money back, but did a very fast and sloppy job...
oh btw they gave me a $10 voucher, I guess I supposed to be happy with that?! Never returning, will never even use the $10 voucher, because they don't have quality service! I don't understand how a place like this can have a 4 star review...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alyssa P.Irvine, CA0122Jul 25, 2022
Took my daughter and her friend here for a mani/pedi. Called to be sure of pricing. "30 each child", he said. After we were done and at the register, they charged me 90. Why? Because they got horrible, uneven and sloppy white lines on tips + a color. I agreed to pay if they promised to warn the next person of the up charge beforehand. Be warned.

Staff is so friendly and considerate! Bobby is very friendly and offers a student discount which is great. In addition, the nail spa is extremely sanitary. I am never disappointed when I leave 9 Nails and I have been coming here since 2018. Furthermore, customer service is wonderful. Whenever I have a chipped or broken nail, Bobby will offer to fix for free. My nails were $49 (with tip and student discount) for gel acrylics.
