Culligan services have been excellent. The equipment we purchased is top notch. Our horrendous water problems solved. That mineral laden water from our well in Clifton Park had destroyed 6 water heaters, yes six, in 25 years and three water softeners. Three years and zero problems with this system. Five stars for Culligan.
Why one star? ACQUA FINANCE is the company that financed our $5500 purchase at zero interest. Never was late with a payment in three years. I made the last payment Days ago. Happened to check my bank account today and was stunned to see that Acqua Finance continued to withdraw a payment from my account. Called and they refused to talk to me claiming my wife was the account holder. We spent about two hours of phone time and MAY be getting a refund In 2-3 weeks! Called the bank to block them in the future. Must pay a bank charge of $35 for each block.
Avoid ACQUA FINANCE. I asked why something so reasonable as my request for an improper withdrawal was so problematic for them. They said they must follow their process. I mentioned my review was not going to be good when I wrote it. The supervisor said, "we get that all the time. "
That alone is frightening.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Donald S.Atlanta, GA1913Aug 3, 2022

I'm not a 'regular reviewer', but when I've had an experience this positive I feel the need to share. Our water was terrible. In addition, our water pressure in the kitchen made it difficult to add filtered water to feed the fridge. Let's just say there were a whole host of problems and they needed to work pretty hard for this sale. Our sales rep was great, the service reps were stellar, and afterwards when a couple issues cropped up customer service responded quickly. Truth be told, the ''issues' were due to me being pretty green about everything, which made me grumpy. However I was impressed with their professionalism at every turn. All of them were great at explaining everything.
We've had the system almost a year now, and it really works great. Whole house softening with filtration and reverse osmosis in the kitchen.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike F.Albany, NY635Sep 4, 2020
I tried to set up a simple service call for my water treatment system, the first time I called they said they would call me back to schedule the appointment and never did. I called back a couple weeks later and set up an appointment for today. When they did not show up I called and was told I was not on the schedule. Disappointing. Then, they wouldn't get me scheduled until November. Don't waste your time working with the scotia location.

THIS COMPANY IS CRAP !!!!
I had an appointment for an initial visit to check my water softener system. I had had the appointment for a week. The afternoon before the appointment, they called to cancel the appointment. They said they had to go deal with a customer who HAD NO WATER !!!...I asked why they were waiting to the following day to help someone without water & how come they had ONLY ONE TECHNICIAN who could handle the problem. They couldn't give me a good answer. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE !!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We, unfortunately, had a few team members out of the office that week due to unforeseen circumstances and we did call to reschedule your appointment. I personally apologize for the late notice. If you’d like to reschedule the appointment please call us at 518-374-1805. - Amy W.Ballston Spa, NY01Sep 18, 2017
We had a water system installed and we love it! The installation technician was so nice and thorough in explanation of the system. Sophia the sales rep was so nice and helpful. Most importantly we love our water now!!!! We had horrible hard water, it was staining our countertops, our dishwater, our sinks and toilets. Now everything is amazing!!! Thank you Culligan!

We have a GE Water Softener that was leaking from the apparatus on the top. Found Culligan online and made an appointment with them to repair since their website stated that they service/repair off-brand softeners (one of the few). The technician came out to look at the softener, stated that he would be unable to get the parts for repair and that water softeners were "throwaway items" and not worth repairing. We were charged more than $100 for the service call.

We would never recommend this company to anyone. First the sale rep comes to our house to test the water and shows us a sheet with low grade, mid grade and high grade softeners. We were told our water use wasn't high enough to even need the high grade so we chose the mid grade which conserves more water than the low grade softener. The mid grade showed that it came with options that the sale rep didn't tell us that they actually don't come with those features that you have to buy them separately. They set up the system within days later. The sales rep negated to tell us that your card used to purchase the system is always automatically put on a auto delivery of salt every few momths. They charge twice the price you can get the salt anywhere else and also a delivery fee. We have had our softener for almost a year now the warranty is about to expire and we've had to have service technicians over almost every months to fix some error going on with the system. We have called basic everyone with the company and have gotten little help or attitudes. We would never recommended this company or use them again in another home.
