I went into this Menifee location right after they opened on a Friday morning and went straight to the meat department. I had recently purchased a dehydrator and wanted to make some homemade beef jerky. I had researched the best jerky cuts like top round, eye of round, and London Broil but was still unsure of the best choice.
A butcher came out from behind the counter with some packaged meats to display and you could tell that he was very busy and already working hard even though the place had just opened. I got his attention and he immediately stopped what he was doing and got very engaged in helping me, showing me the different cuts, and what would be best for my homemade jerky. Then, he went to the back and returned with a huge quarter portion of fresh beef, and sliced off the exact amount I needed in the perfect thickness for my jerky.
This employee was so kind and helpful. An Outstanding individual and employee! I later bumped into the Manager and told him about my positive experience. He said, oh, that's Ruben Chavez, I'll let him know. Great job Stater Bros!

Came by here this am and got cash back and the lady at the register named "kat" was extremely rude. I have been coming here for a few months and have never had an issue. This morning she was very rude with how she speaks to customers.

This is my home store I came in the morning for my usual rounds and First I would like to start by saying I watched an interaction between a checker by the name of Kat and rude customer and she handle the situation wonderfully she was patient and very professional throughout the interaction and this store has always treated me wonderfully I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new home grocery store!!

Just want to say this stater bros gets 5 stars because the Manager Ruben! This is an absolutely great manager! He is always so helpful to me! Even when my wife goes he treats her and kids so well! I always see him greeting customers and working hard! Not to mention that if they ever sell out of a product he takes initiative and will call the nearby stater bros to see if they have the product for us! Thanks Ruben M for always going above and beyond for my family! We appreciate the you and how well you run your store!

i just wanted to right a review on this starter bro this is the best one in town by far my teenage child and i shop here especially for the produce department. Everyone in that department is always helpful and nice, and the produce department is always looking sharp and clean but their is one employee by the name of Charleen that stands out to our family she is a great addition to the produce team she always goes out of her way to help the customers and when i say out of her way she stops what she is doing and walks u over to what u are looking for and helps u get a good pick of of the fruit are veggies you are inquiring about i want to say to the management u really have a great lady that really seems like she is not their for a paycheck she looks like she enjoys her job and always smiling and saying hello to everyone walking by her please acknowledge her as one of the best employees u have at ur store that shines ur store bright thank u

Stater Bros consistently wins the award for best grocer retailer in SoCal, year after year.

And you can see why, their meat/butcher/fish monger offer outstanding cuts of fresh meats and fish. We purchased a flank steak a few days ago, which I just grilled and it tasted delicious.

Another outstanding area is their Deli. Their cold cuts and salads are on a par with Boars Head and that's something I thought I would never say. Their Cleo & Leo selection of Roast Beef and Pub Ham are delicious.

Because Stater Brothers is above average, their prices are also a bit full, when you compare them to other grocers in the area.

But this is one of the places we go to, when we want something special to cook for dinner. Prices be dammed. For my AZ friends, they're very similar to AJ's.

Overall I'm pleased with this location however I couldn't believe it after seeing the commercials that the butchers have to put in so many hours, do a two year apprenticeship ECT to butcher So I thought wow I'll have to try them out and start getting my proteins butchered the way I like. I brought a rib roast up and asked for 1 inch steaks, I ordered 10 lbs of chicken breast butterflied open. I was shocked to hear the employee helping me in the meat department say to a colleague "hey, do you know how to butterfly chicken "? I thought oboy what am I in for, so I take my packages home and sadly the rib roast steak was cut on an angle so they'll unevenly cook but the worst part was the chicken, it was so messed up it looked like they ran it through the grinder. Terrible! Starters management, please only allow certified meat cutters to perform these tasks. Meat is not cheap. While I'm leaving this review the deli needs to keep the salads well mixed throughout the day so they don't glaze over and change colors. Speaking of changing colors, keep the fried chicken batches together, all too often the old is mixed together and your meal has fresh and old, and different colored chicken. No other complaints, dairy, frontend, beverage , produce a ok.

This review is for "Liyanna". I go to this SB all the time and for the most part have always had a great experience. Today, Liyanna was my cashier and I'm not sure if maybe she had a bad day but the experience was awful. She was rude and judgmental. She threw my items and didn't care, gave me attitude when I asked a small question about the items and couldn't even hand me my receipt at the end. She kept rolling her eyes and it felt as if she probably didn't want to be there today. The experience was horrible, I felt belittled the whole time. Aside from Liyanna, there's another lady who usually works cashier, she's older, white with white hair. I always try to avoid her after she gave a customer a hard time for not having enough money in his EBT card to pay for groceries. I hope SB puts better people at the cashier.

The parents and Girl Scouts selling cookies are very rude. If someone doesn't want to buy any, they yell out rude comments. I'm not sure why Stater Bros allows this.
