Went there for lunch because it was convenient for my Temple student to hop on the train to meet us at the Lansdale station
Apps - got the grilled shrimp, brisket mac &cheese and burrata. I'm going to spend the next week trying to copycat the tomato/avocado blend the shrimp was on. The rest of my family loved the others
I got the seared tuna tacos with a side of fries and it was amazing. My daughter is asking me when we can go back for the honey crisp apple salad. My son loved the chicken & waffles. My husband and other son got pancakes and an omelette and they were fine (I think they missed opportunities for better orders)
Others, have said it was overpriced. Yes, $12 is ridiculous for flour, baking soda and sugar..but that is what you pay for pancakes anywhere.
I only got 2 tacos, but it was overstuffed with tuna. The value was there
All told, it was $180 for lunch for 5 (with tip) but since we got apps, half of my and my daughters entree were also dinner (my husband and boys are human vacuum cleaners so they didn't have leftovers)
We will be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 17, 2023
Been here a few times for takeout as well as dine in and I can confidently say, its just your average spot in an otherwise average town.
Nothing is bad, don't get me wrong. Its just not amazing and I have a hard time believing that they themselves think they would go toe to toe with some of the better culinary options in the greater Philadelphia area. Nevertheless, it gets the job done, albeit for a premium. I find myself spending more here than I would like for the food, but that's ok.
Ambiance is cool. Some knick knacks from the past to make it interesting if not entertaining. Service was a little weird at times, especially the take out experience with the hostess. She just didn't seem to care to be there. Never a good sign when the first person to greet you is just waiting for the time to pass by.
If you want a decent spot for drinks, this might be it. It's dark and hip at night from what I can tell. Not really into that scene anymore myself but I think that might be what they excel at.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Nov 18, 2023
Went there for dinner and we shared a bunch of apps and got individual soup/salads. The burrata was delicious, but it's truly hard to mess that up.
The sprouts and wings were VERY salty. We love salt and seasonings, but the sprouts were to the point that they hurt to eat. We took them home, and the next day roasted an entire butternut squash with no salt (just olive oil and black pepper) and mixed with the leftover sprouts and that was delicious and the salt leveled out.
The Korean bbq wing sauce was fine. I would get a different flavor next time.
Deviled eggs were good. And the Cesar salad, pear salad, and tomato soup were also good. Nothing remarkable.
The food came out very fast and our server was incredibly nice and attentive.
I'd definitely get the max and cheese next time. I do wish they had a few more vegetarian friendly dishes, like plain Mac and cheese, regular cheese fries. The flatbreads seem to be gone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Damon S.Ambler, PA25Apr 24, 2024
Great food and cool vibe. It's an excellent gastro pub where you can have dinner with your family or hang out with friends.

I haven't been here in a while. The food is still good. We had the deviled eggs, smoked Korean barbecue wings, salad, seared tuna tacos and the blackened salmon blt. The food was all tasty and the service was good. We ate at the upstairs bar with a good atmosphere. Took a long time for our food to come out so the bartender comped our deviled eggs. The presentation of the food was much to be desired. Overall good meal and seems to be consistent over the years.

As a new resident of Lansdale, I was so excited to come here for dinner with my husband and Mom, who was visiting to see our new home and explore our new hometown. Current reviews are very split, and I was hoping to luck out, but unfortunately we weren't so lucky...
Despite making a reservation, our table was upstairs right next to a bar that was converted into a serving station. It's a terrible spot of an otherwise charming restaurant. They had trouble seating the other table in this area; another group straight up refused to be sat there. I advise this business to remove the two tables next to this converted serving station. It's an unfair place to seat your guests in comparison to the rest of the space.
The service was iffy. The staff seems overworked, like they need to hire or schedule more people. The waitress had trouble understanding that I wasn't finished with our appetizer - solely concerned with finishing bussing duties rather than providing excellent, thoughtful service.
The food and drinks were good, but the service and table were enough to have us second guessing another visit. Doylestown is just a stone's throw away, and we'd rather frequent reliable restaurants there than come back to a place that feels beyond it's prime.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nicole P.Philadelphia, PA18852124Feb 2, 2024
More of a 3.5- We stopped in for apps and drinks during happy hour. The drinks were okay. The happy hour food menu is a little misleading. We sat at the bar and the service was fine but the bartender was not that friendly. Ambiance is cool- wish the bar stools had backs though. Overall, an average experience.

Food wasn't bad, the service was good, and I loved the industrial farmhouse-esque aestetic. I do feel the prices were a bit steep for what you get, and the food menu was a bit limited, but I can't say that we didn't enjoy what we had. Hubs and i shared three appetizers: the brisket mac and cheese, tap fries, and wagyu sliders. Would have to say the brisket Mac and cheese was probably my favorite out of what we had, and we did have leftover Mac and fries among making these a full meal for both of us. Would probably venture back for happy hour drinks and apps, but I'm not sure it will be on my list to return for dinner.

I really love this place. Tonight was just another example why:
Took my Grandfather and Mom out for dinner and had another great meal. I always appreciate the depth of the cocktail list and beers on tap to start the meal off here. Tonight we had the agnolotti, crab and lobster Mac and the salmon BLT. All were delicious and we had great service throughout the meal. Will be sure to get photos next time, highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
