I would give this place zero stars if that were possible. In New Orleans, you don't get a whole Lotta options for tanning salons. Their beds are terrible quality. They've never been updated since about 1997 and that might be being generous. Their stand up is actually like climbing into a wrestling cage. If you like ones that do body misting aromatherapy or don't get to over 120°, this is not the place for you. Although they do have nice people on staff, the owner Liz may be one of the most evil people I've ever met in life. I used to be regular customer until one day she told me she didn't like the sight of my face and that I needed to leave in front of my mom who is in her 70s - completely randomly when I had a spray tan appointment. She told me I asked too many questions about spray tans and that was too much drama. I was hoping that maybe 2 1/2 -3 years later post pandemic she might be normal again or at least the salon would be, but I made the mistake of stopping by. I had wanted to use a bed, which I already paid for, and was waiting to do a spray tan. Then Liz came running down the hall, screaming at the top of her lungs at me, also in front of her employees and my mother. She began to call me a bitch and a variety of other curse words including see you next Tuesday. She began threatening to call the police on me because I was asking for my money back. Then she began, coming around the desk and getting within inches of the back of my neck as I was attempting to leave, saying I'm gonna kill you! Then a lot more curse words and more threatening my safety and well-being, as I was attempting to just run out the door of her salon.

If that's how you like to be treated in life, then this place is for you! If you feel like maybe they're basic Norvell tanning solution that dries your skin out terribly will be worth putting your safety and mental health in jeopardy, stop on by. If you miss those old tanning beds that just cause skin cancer and don't actually give you a tan but just give you wrinkles as you lay in them, baking for 20 minutes, this is the salon for you.

But again, watch your back. You never know what mood Liz will be in. One minute she loves you and says I can't wait to see you again and thanks so much for supporting my business and boutique, and then she's screaming in your face and threatening your livelihood. Good luck, everybody!

What a wonderful salon with a welcoming and lovely staff! I'm new to tanning and everyone has been so helpful and sweet getting me set up.

I inquired about couple's pricing because I was looking for a fun date idea for me and my girlfriend and whoever was managing the insta account blocked me I dunno why. There are definitely a lot of other tanning salons out there that have better customer service especially when you are asking about prices and packages. I guess I'm going to check out a more 'corporate' place. See screenshot.

This place is about 2 miles from my house in the women work here are absolutely fantastic. I love their boutique as well as all of the tanning services they offer. Definitely a professional and clean environment with a knowledgeable staff. They are absolutely worth the price in the offer high end lotions and other tanning accoutrement. I never have to wait to attend a bed or session and for someone who is only going to be using these services for an upcoming event and short time, I am very happy with this location. Would definitely recommend to any more regular clientele or simple drop ins.

SunBodies is the best tanning salon I have been to. The owner and all the girls working there are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of their products.

I also had a spray tan here that turned out stunning! Not one hint of orange. Just a beautiful golden brown.

Way better prices than planet beach and helpful, knowledgable employees who aren't annoying or pushy. Beds are simple and to the point, which some may not like, but I prefer. My 2 friends (Thurmond sisters) use to work here way back in the day, before the remodel. It's wayyyy nicer now. Waxing and a little boutique area, too. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later.

Great Place

This was my first ever spray tan and two days before my winter formal. I am 15 years old and was very nervous, but when I walked in I was greeted with nothing but smiles and a warm welcome. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment and they took me early. When I was being sprayed, Liz, who is super nice, told me what to do. When I was leaving I thought I looked really good, but just a little dark. When I got home and showered it wasn't as dark (It was perfect). Great salon and will definitely be going back in the future. The people working are super nice and fun to talk to.
