For a Home Depot, this one gets all my stars. The Copiague Home Depot is always well organized. All of the aisles are labeled, some with icons of the items as well. This is the best time of year to visit if you are looking to get your back yard or garden ready for spring. They have recently put out all of the nice patio sets, outdoor fireplaces, BBQ's, and plants & flowers. They also have an excellent assortment of Easter themes flower baskets as well.
Lots of displays with different succulents. Hanging baskets, window boxes, and more. I added a few pics of these, because they looked really nice. There were even some succulent planters in the shape of owls and snails. Succulents are great for those of us who do not have a particularly green thumb. You can get away with watering them as little as once a month and they will stay plump and healthy. Some will even flower once or twice throughout the season.
The staff here is very knowledgeable. They always seem to know where even the most obscure type of screw can be found, down to the eye level of the shelf it's on. It's as if they have been trained for some sort of home improvement Jeopardy challenge.
Also, the self-checkout lanes move fast thanks to one of the most up to date checkout systems I've seen in any store. You don't even have to remove larger items from your cart. Just scan everything with the scanner gun and you're done. Easy-peasy!
All in all, I really enjoy shopping here. :-)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tracy K.Las Vegas, NV021May 11, 2024
40min waiting for a propane tank exchange ended up getting a refund and leaving because nobody came. Terrible work ethic in these stores

I love this Home Depot. Despite certain areas there is zero service but everything is in stock. I love the garden section as well. The people are very nice and helpful as well.

Don't Come here. Avoid this location at all costs! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came here looking for an air purifier on the most port air quality day in NY and was completely ignored. Crazy! I was asking for help and one guy said he didn't work there LOL I was like oh okay but he was helping someone else lol. Then the rep with the orange apron gave me wrong directions. I am just going to go to another store. Crazy Don't Cone to that Home Depot. Nightmare.

I ordered a microwave online and it was curbside assistance and the box was unbelievably destroyed and they said oh it's not damaged inside it's just the outside I took it home and it is damaged inside
I need to let microwave for my 96-year-old friend. I went all the way to your store from Valley Stream for you guys to bring out the box looking like that and damaged microwave it's disgusting now I have to go look for another microwave and I wasted my time. And my gas The workers were very nice but should've never give me a product like this damaged.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Diana M.Massapequa, NY483Jun 6, 2023
purchased a hose reel last September for 180$. The handle
snapped in half while realing in the hose in this spring. we thought it should have lasted longer. while Home Depot sells it on line the store doesn't carry it anymore. they offered nothing except 1 penny saying that once
the store stops carrying an item they say it was clearanced at 1 penny. they also advised they are unrelated to the online company. the manager offered nothing and was completely unwilling to make any kind of fair resolution. this is how to kill a brick and mortar store. it's why Jeff

Good:
-I asked to get a refund on an online product I ordered that was not present in the store, and they obliged.
-When you get an experienced worker to help, they have answers
Bad:
-I ordered 2 products online separately and was told they were available but only one was present
-You have to be patient enough to get through 2 or 3 workers to find out what's really going on
-If you're ordering something online to be picked up, expect it from the Farmingdale Home DepotHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Matt B.Raleigh, NC09Aug 15, 2021
The sales associate who helped us from start to finish in the floor department with our blinds was incredible. Her name was Tess. She was by far the most helpful, patient and knowledgeable associate that has ever helped us at Home Depot!!

I needed to buy more driveway sealer for a second coat and my local Home Depot was out. I checked the HD app and it said the Copiague store had it in stock. I call to confirm and was told they did have it. I drive 45 minutes and get to the store and find out that there are none in stock. I tell the story to the guy in hardware who says "This happens all the time".
I go customer service and ask to speak to a manager. I'm told she just walked by. They get her in the phone. She never speaks to me but tells them that the product is not in stock.
So this manager who manages the person who gave me wrong information, never comes out to talk to, never apologizes to me and makes no attempt at providing any kind of customer service.
Two hours out of my life wasted and I didn't even get an apology from someone in charge.
The management here is a joke. My first experience with this store is also my last.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 24, 201672 check-ins
This Home Depot it's close to my house so it's convenient to come here but it seems like the people that work here don't know where stuff is and when you ask them they say I don't work in this department. So what are you doing here why don't you go work in your department. Besides that they have a lot of stuff to pick from in the garden department Hardware but if I have more time I like the one in Farmingdale better they seem to know what they're doing over there
