My husband ordered an omelette and wasn't too impressed. It was your average omelette you could make at home. We would expect more presentation and more filling and amount of eggs for the cost at a restaurant that is more fancy.

I ordered the baked lobster and shrimp Parmesan dip and it was delicious! I would highly recommend this dish. The bread and shrimp paired so nicely.

We said we wouldn't necessarily return because overall, the menu lacked specializing in a certain genre of food and it was high priced but not necessarily as upscale as the prices.

Also, they charge you an additional fee if you don't pay with cash.

The ambiance was wonderful and the staff was very polite.

We went for their Easter buffet. Our experience was terrible!. The buffet for $40.00 per person consisted of 2 different noodle dishes. Mac and Cheese and a mayo based noodle with a sprinkle of seafood. There was potato salad, mashed potatoes and gravy and rice. The roast beef was shredded so small it was hard to find in the gravy and that was after we waited 10 minutes for them to bring some out. The crab cakes looked like pancakes and were over cooked and some even burned. The only decent part was the dessert table that had 3 different choices. The food was bland, mostly cold and the only good thing were the green beans.
I can't believe we paid that much for a cafeteria lunch! So not worth it!

The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is a fresh clean atmosphere. We were the for lunch with friends. The food came quickly and was fresh. One of our friends is Celiac. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on what contained gluten and made suggestions on that to substitute on the meal she ordered. The prices were reasonable and the portions were bigger than we could eat. We will be back.

We ate at 790 on the Gulf, Easter Sunday. They claim to have dropped "on the Gulf" but it is still on the internet as On the Gulf. It is not anywhere near the Gulf. It is in the middle of a parking lot. The food which they claimed was catered, was horrible. Everything was cold and sticky. They had the nerve to serve chicken nuggets and for $40 a person, we didn't expect nuggets. Everything was inedible and many people walked out. We drove 2 hours to get to the restaurant and spent $300 with a$30 tip for 5 adults and 1 child. No one ate their meals. This place should be ashamed of themselves. The food was gross and overpriced. We could have had steak for what we paid for 790's pitiful food!

Food was awful. Smoked tuna dip was nasty, it repeated on me hours later.
My grouper sandwich and my husband's mahi mahi platter didn't taste like fresh fish - the fish was tough and lacking flavor.
The only bright spots were a nice waitress and a delicious Bloody Mary.

We ate at 790 years ago when it was in Ft. Walton. We loved it. The gumbo was perfect.
Today we tried the Destin location. Service was great, but the gumbo and rice were lukewarm.
Husband had fish sandwich which was marginal-not local fresh fish. We'll pass next time.

The renovations to the building are beautiful!

We came to 790 for happy hour. Our large group was seated. We had a number of issues that evening. We waited almost an hour for our food. While we waited, I watched the tables of four surrounding us being seated, orders taken, food delivered, and new customers arriving. Not only did we wait for our food to be delivered, but we also had to wait for drinks to be served. When the dessert was delivered our table was still dirty. I had to ask to have the dirty dishes removed. There were several staff who were standing around with nothing to do, and did not help our server. I watched our server clear dirty dishes off of tables, then serve us our food which is a good way for us to pick up viruses, etc. from someone else's dirty plates. In addition, we ordered what we thought were happy hour prices but were charged regular prices instead.

We had a reservation and at first sight, the decor seemed nice and so was the hostess that sat us at our table, but it stops there. Our booth had sauce splattered on the wall. It was pretty dead. Ken was not helpful at all. I have an autoimmune disease and allergies so I needed to ask a few simple questions about what seasonings they use on their vegetables and fish. We seemed to be his only table so I thought he would have a moment to answer my important questions, by my third and final question about their balsamic vinaigrette, he answered with "I don't know, I can't know every ingredient in all of our products". I replied I didn't expect him to, and I was in tears by the time he walked away. The correct answer is "I'm not sure about that, but I can definitely go check for you." Someone with allergies should be able to enjoy a meal with their families without being made to feel like they are such an inconvenience. Ordered the grouper salad that was described to have mixed greens. I also asked for certain ingredients to just be put on the side, but they weren't brought out. It came out on a cheap iceberg salad mix with brown spots, dry grouper and two whole cucumber slices. My daughter's gumbo had a large bone. What a way to spend our 15th wedding anniversary. I always try to give the best reviews I can, but I can honestly not find one good thing about this place. Rude staff, dry subpar food, misleading menu.

A 26.00 DRY GROUPER SALAD, ON ICEBERG NOT MIXED GREENS AS THE MENU STATES.

Went in for lunch. We never got waited on and people after us were taken care of. Decided to leave and we told the male host we were leaving due to no one waiting on us and his rude comment was OH WELL! We r locals and noticed prices had really gone up. Probably won't ever be back.
